Interesting Thing On The News...

So me and my nana were watching the news this morning like we normally do right? On one of the reports, it had this kid he looked about middle school I think *I don't know for sure* but anyway, he was holding up this sign that says 'I'm dumb and don't wanna learn in school' or something like that out on his front lawn.

Apparently he wasn't doing well in school, and his mom made him hold that sign up for people to see.

...What parent does that to their own kid? Public humilation is not the right way, to help your kid focus in school!

You can take something away from them instead for crying out loud, ground them for a few days until they take school seriously:

That's just kind of cruel in my opinion.

Yeah it's the mom's choice I guess...but if you were a parent how would you react to that? My nana was pretty ashamed of that mother to be honest, I'm not a parent but I didn't agree with what the mom did.

What do you guys think?

@E_magine: Oh my god are you freakin serious? If I ever have kids and my child said they were , I'd believe them I mean who would lie about something like that? God the poor girl...I'd be humiliated if I had to do that.

I know huh? So dissapointing how some parent's are these days. Thank god my mom or nana isn't like that: They never publicly humiliated me in any way, shape or form.

I've heard of a similar thing in my country. A fourteen year old girl went on a radio station to confess she had been because her mum didn't believe her. Makes me angry just thinking about it.

Poor boy, he deserves better.

@smoresgooney: I know right? You can do a million other punishments but that one? No I don't agree with it.

@HellsRainbow: Yeah I was thinking the same thing; What mother would do that to their kid? It doesn't matter how bad they are in school, public humilation is not the answer to get them to 'straighten up'.

That's shameful.
I'd be inclined to assume that she's a terrible mother.
