I know that many of us lost a lot in this system crash; I lost pages of messages, wall posts, and the final chapter of TToN.  Luckily, I keep hard copies of all of my writings (in one place or another) and it was easy to replace.  What's not so easily replaced are the comments and reviews that I received. 

My memory is not so good that I can remember everything that everyone said.  I don't back up comments or anything, but I do reread them.  I also know that I lost about fifty reviews of what is, without doubt, the most important chapter of my story.  I have heard that they will be able to restore everything, given some time.

According to the main page, it says that everything should be restored, except, perhaps, what was done between 03/09 and 03/11.  Given that I posted the final chapter of TToN on 03/08 - the greater percentage of my comments were made during that time.  I know that many people won't want to re-comment.  I know that those that do won't go as in depth as they were before.

I know that there are many people out there who lost a lot more than I did (and I know that I lost some subscribers and a bunch of my friends were suddenly unfriended).  I would rather lose the comments for -any- chapter but the last one.  It's left a seriously bad taste in my mouth; it's very discouraging in regards to wanting to post future works.  I hate that I feel like that, but I do.

Not to say that I won't post in the future, because I'm sure I will.

I apologize for my frustrations, and I'll resurface soon to end TToN with the final author's note as planned.  I don't know, at this time, when that will be; for right now, I'm going to go mope a bit.
