Korean song recommendation

I guess there are lots of people who are enjoying current idols' songs and listening to them. Am I right?

Today, I want to recommend some songs that were released at least few years ago.

I would not be giving all the songs at once but going to give them little by little.

If you ask "Why old songs?" then there's only one thing that I can say.

It's because they have their own characteristics that are quite different from current nowadays idols' songs with lots of computer sounds.

Nowadays songs and older songs have quite different charms.

So goal for me is to give you chances to listen to songs that have different taste from current k-pop trend but rather older ones.

1. Lee Moon Sae - Red Sunset (1988)
This one has been remaked couple of times. Such as Shinhwa and Big Bang. However, even though each remaked version have their own unique tastes, the original is amazing. Perhaps that's why it is so well-known and remaked by other artists.
Actually, most of Lee Moon Sae ssi's songs are nice. Perhaps I'm thinking like this as I have been listening to his songs a lot because he is my mother's favourite singer.

Even though this song was sang even before I was born, It just does not feel out-of-date. It still has nice feeling.

2. G.O.D - To My Mother

This song is really well-known even in Korea. Even though G.O.D is now disbanded, this song will be still be famous.

It has not been long that Korea has been this developed. Even at my mother's generation, something like musical instruments and cars were very uncommon. My father? It was less developed. As he was living in countryside, he literally had to climb mountains and go across streams to go to school.

So can you imagine how people would be feeling while listening to this song? I don't know how to describe it. It's just.. It's... I really can't describe it fully.

3. Maya - Azalea

Part of the lyrics of this song is actually from a poem by famous poet Kim So-Wourl. The poem's title is actually 'Azalea'. The actual poem is soft and feminine. It's even in middle-school Korean text book. Maya is actually female rocker.

I actually really like this poem and even though the song has a bit different feeling compared to the poem, I like the song netherless.

How are these three songs? Did you like it? Did you not like it?

i will write other songs bit by bit whenever I have time.

Try different songs other than just nowadays k-pops. Sometimes, trying new things can be good.

If you have any kind of songs that you particularly likes, just tell me.

Thank you for reading this.
