hi aff, it's been a while!

i've taken an extended break from roleplaying as i've been focusing on my own writing projects and life, but i really miss the fun of being able to collab with people here to make something unique and mutually enjoyable, so i'm back.

i'm gmt+0, over 18, and don't mind what tz or age you are - i'd prefer you be over 18 for maturity's sake, but i'm not a writer (this is something i am pretty firm about, although i have no other limits in regards to writing), and because i don't write i don't think being is a necessity. 

i write literate, novella-style starters & replies - this is important! i don't have many requirements, so to speak, but someone who can mirror my effort is crucial to creating an environment where we both feel like we're getting something out of it. obviously writing and roleplaying is a hobby so i don't want you to feel pressured into writing more than you're comfortable with, but i'd ask that if your replies are usually 1-3 paras or less to maybe give this post a miss. depending on my excitement for the plot, i can write 5-10 paragraphs per reply, and i'd really love to see that from you, too.

this of course means that unlike some other posts i've seen i really do not care how long it takes you to reply. you have a life, so do i, and as i've mentioned this is a hobby and not a job; take a week, take two weeks if you want. if you want to ghost that's fine too; it's pretty awkward having to message someone to tell them you're not interested in the plot anymore, you've lost inspiration or you just don't synergise with them well enough, so absolutely 0 hard feelings.

onto genres and plots: i enjoy a wide range, but like a lot of people here i need drama and action. fluff isn't my thing except in small doses and only after a connection has been established between our characters. i'm into sci-fi, historical and modern settings alike, but the more worldbuilding we can do the better - plotting is half of the fun for me, and i'd like if it was the same for you.

in order of inspiration here are a list of aus i'm most keen on atm

- class-dominant historical (feudalism, slavery - my favourite roleplay dynamics are rich meets poor - i love it)
- supernatural fantasy, any time period. so unbelievably down for vampires (please do not underestimate this), but also so unbelievably understanding if you're not - we can come up with something a bit more original. (i'm not sure how relevant this is but i'd be incredibly keen on doing something parallel to a black butler au!)
- high-concept sci-fi, something we can worldbuild for ages like blade runner or inception
- prison au; i fleshed out a fully-fledged storyline i was personally quite proud of with a partner and then got ghosted right as my inspiration peaked so if you want a premade plot option and this sounds appealing to you feel free to ask about it!
- western, and i'll be honest this is just because i've been replaying red dead redemption 2 and need to scratch this western itch urgently. would also be down for neo-western, a lá the movie nope
- gang/mafia something or other. super safe bet. let's do something fun with it though
- the hunger games; i've been roleplaying for years and not once have i had the chance to try something like this out. please heal my inner child with me. alternatively: anything original with a young adulty dystopian vibe
- scp au. if this means literally anything to any of you you're 100% my target audience and i'll be really sad if you don't reach out to me. i've put this last on the list not because i don't want to do it but because i don't think i have a chance of getting to do it lol

pairings and muse wise: i've been out of the roleplay scene for a while now so i don't have anything set out in stone. i will probably write as a male though, which means i'm open to / straight pairings for now. this might change, but i'm not sure. muses off the top of my head include txt yeonjun, bts v, j-hope, jungkook and jimin, stray kids felix, the boyz' juyeon. there's probably more. as for you i have no preferences aside from the idol being at most 7 years older or younger than my faceclaim (with being a given, of course). please no influencers, streamers, actors or westerns though.
