EXPANDED Though Chaerin is an introverted person, she isn’t necessarily hard to get to know at all. She may not see the need to approach every single person, but she won’t back away when approached. Even from afar, it’s easy to see that she is a very supportive and caring person towards others. Possibly because things come so easily to her, she doesn’t see the need to be jealous of those succeeding around her. She’s quick to boost someone else’s confidence and give genuine praise. Acquainted or not, if she sees someone feeling down and out, Chaerin will do everything in her power to cheer them up. This isn’t in vain, as she’ll say what she really believes to be true. She’s one of those people who can find the silver lining in anything and see the good in any person. Even the harshest of criticisms from her will be constructive first and foremost. Despite being young, Chaerin enjoys being affectionate towards others and even doting on those she likes the most.

That’s probably why people don’t always take it to heart when she’s being sarcastic and mean. Against her best efforts, those who know her know it doesn’t come from any malicious intent. Often, her quick comments come effortlessly and in the form of jokes. It’s hard for her to take things truly seriously sometimes, and snark will leave before she can even stop herself. On camera, it’s what makes her appear so funny to fans and netizens. Off camera, that’s something that most find endearing. However, it’s still a negative trait, and even though people can be aware of the fact that she’s joking and doesn’t mean what she says, it can be hurtful. Chaerin is an honest being, and her jokes directly pull from what she knows to be true. So, even with a lighthearted tone and a smile, she can still cause others pain from this, even more than she might realize. Those with thicker skin may appreciate her honesty more than others, but this isn’t always the case at all.

While on the topic of her bad traits, it’s impossible not to mention her greed. Chaerin is insatiable when it comes to money. She doesn’t even really spend it, hoarding it and guarding it with an intense passion. She would never let someone know how much money she ever truly has, she is very stingy with how she spends it, she isn’t one to loan money to friends, and the main reason she gives to charity is to receive tax benefits. Her greed only applies to wealth, as she wouldn’t mind sharing anything else with others. When it comes to currency though, it’s not going to happen. Now, her selfishness does tend to branch into other areas of her life. If an opportunity comes her way, she would probably take it before thinking about how it affects other people. While it’s true that she cares a lot about other people, it doesn’t take away from the fact that she will put herself first if she deems it necessary. The biggest problem with this is that, even if pointed out to her, Chaerin will not find any fault with this. Because of this, this trait will probably never change for her.

Chaerin's fortunate life didn't help with this. She has always been favored, which isn’t even something she can control at this point. From someone else’s view, it probably seems like God never says no to Chaerin because she doesn’t have to work very hard to achieve…well, anything. It’s because of this that she never loses her cool. She doesn’t really have to because she knows it’s all going to work out, even if it may not seem like it at the time. This amount of optimism would seem unrealistic if it came from anybody else, but Chaerin is simply relaxed because she has never had any reason to fear. Unfortunately, this is also the reason why she doesn’t mind being unethical. Most people would fear the consequences it would bring them, but Chaerin does not. So what if she takes something that doesn’t belong to her or says something mean? In the end, it will all work out in her favor, as usual. Therefore, she never learns her lesson. Never being reprimanded means never really knowing that something is considered wrong. So, in her own way, Chaerin doesn’t even realize the negligence of her actions.

BACKGROUND Chaerin was the second-born twin, a bit smaller than her twin brother. Even though their mother was born in Gyeongju, she moved to New York shortly after finding out that she was pregnant and decided to raise her children in America instead. Unfortunately, the childbirth was too much for their mother, and she ended up passing away shortly after the twins were born. Their maternal family didn't even know of the twins' existence, so they were immediately placed in the care of their father, who was at the hospital when they were born.

Completely inexperienced with fully raising children, especially on his own, Hwan Jaebeom decided to simply take the twins with him everywhere he went. They were sloppily homeschooled, and they traveled the world with their father. They saw many things they shouldn't have seen, like their father getting and being drunk, their father flirting with women and taking them home, and endless adult parties. Surprisingly to most of the family, the twins didn't grow up completely messed up by the actions of their father.

They spent almost every holiday in Hwan Village ever since they were born, so they were under the influence of their aunts, uncle, and older siblings and cousins. The family used these times to make sure they weren't scarred for life by Jaebeom refusing to slow down his lifestyle.

Truthfully speaking, the twins loved their life. They were spoiled and received anything and everything they wanted. They saw a lot of things, but they took care of each other and chalked it up to maturing earlier than other children. They barely focused on schoolwork, doing enough to graduate on time in March of 2023. Since then, Chaerin and her twin brother have still been hanging around their father and living their own escapades beside Jaebeom, not really knowing anything else.

ROUTINE Chaerin actually does a lot in her daily life. She gets up very early, and she enjoys going for walks or runs. If she's in a place she doesn't know very well, she will resort to doing some yoga or pilates inside. As long as she gets in some sort of morning movement, she's happy.

Afterwards, she's going to shower and make her first cup of coffee. She enjoys checking social media or chatting with her friends while enjoying her coffee. She takes this time to relax and forget about anything that happened the night before. 

It's after this that she pulls out her laptop, which holds her entire life (and Chulsoo's). It holds a client list miles long, and she spends two or three hours setting meetings for Chulsoo and his clients. She spends out pictures, videos, and personalized Chulsoo merch for his admirers. She also makes sure he takes care of any health, skin, or hair care that's necessary. She also handles her father's work and dating scheduling to make sure he keeps all of his affairs in order. 

She then spends the rest of her day however she pleases until night falls. Once night falls, she usually parties with her father and brother. They'll have some company party, private party, or event to go to. While she'll enjoy herself, she will also make sure her father doesn't have too much fun. And she'll also make sure that anyone who takes interest in Chulsoo be made into a potential client. She happily and drunkenly falls asleep after making sure she's gotten her father and brother into bed.

CURRENT LIVING SITUATION Chaerin still lives with her father and twin brother. They have a home in Gyeongju-si, but they're rarely there. Her father works in Seoul, so they spend more time in their Seoul home. They travel often, so it's not unusual for them to be in some expensive hotel or airbnb for weeks or weekends at a time.

SECRET Chaerin and Chulsoo are not Hwan Jaebeom's children. They are actually the illegitimate children of Hwan Jaejoon. He had an affair with their mother, and he paid her to move away to New York to have them. He was there for their birth, but he signed his name on their birth certificate as Jaebeom's. He then called his own twin to help him out with the problem he'd made for himself. Jaebeom took responsibility for the Chaerin and Chulsoo, taking them as his own. However, he told the twins when they were around 12 the truth, bribing them with money to not tell the rest of the family. At this point in their lives, Chaerin and Chulsoo are content with their lives and with Jaebeom as a father, so they don't bother saying anything.

she thinks about retiring Chulsoo and using outside people as her products once her client list gets to several hundred people.

she's used to getting what she wants, so it irritates her when someone tells her no or challenges her, even when it's family. even when it's Chulsoo.

she may have been born second, but it's very clear that she's the twin that makes all the decisions. honestly, she even runs their household, and Jaebeom and Chulsoo are (mostly) fine with this.

she wishes that she had a mother-figure in her life, and for this reason, she clings to Jihye and Youngae whenever she sees them.

their mother was named jang hana, and she would have been 50 years old if she were still alive. she has no family living in Gyeongju-si anymore, and the twins haven't tried reaching out to anyone.

CHUSEOK like her father, Chaerin is very much a workoholic. It makes her upset when she has to give Chulsoo a break for the holidays because most of their clients are very much busy living their own lives. Plus, Jaebeom always wants to go back to Hwan Village for the holidays. She likes seeing the family, but she is interested in finding some clients around Hwan Village to bankroll. She does love receiving gifts from the family, though.

HALLOWEEN She absolutely loves Halloween. She likes planning themed costumes for herself and Chulsoo, and she makes sure they win any and every costume contest they apply to. She isn't afraid to their costumes up, either.

CHRISTMAS She loves receiving things, but she isn't a very thoughtful gift-giver. She will usually just give people cards with gift cards inside. Or, she'll buy small things of lotion or soap or something simple, even if she knows what the person wants. However, her Christmas list is miles long.

NEW YEAR'S She loves going to the different parties her father knows about on New Year's Eve. She even gets into the festivities.
