EXPANDED Chulsoo is somebody who likes to have or make fun no matter what the situation is. There's never a boring moment with Chulsoo around. He wants to laugh, and he wants to make the people around him laugh as well. Though he wouldn't put his own fun before his morals, he likes to live life on the edge. Nothing seems too risky or dangerous to him, and he'll always seem like he's energetic to people around him. Even in a serious setting, he'll be the person looking for something to do with himself. He'll want to cheer people up when they're sad. He doesn't like staying upset, and he gets uncomfortable when things are sad or quiet. Chulsoo won't usually take it too far, even leaving people alone when asked to. Otherwise, he's going to try his best to make everyone feel better.

And he'll usually know when the mood has shifted. He pays attention to his surroundings, constantly reading the room to make sure he isn't stepping out of line. Even the most closed off person is going to be analyzed by Chulsoo before he approaches them. He has an inner desire to get others to like him, which is why he strives so hard to understand what makes other people happy, sad, stressed, etc. Then he'll do whatever possible to make sure they stay happy or become happy again. It doesn't go into people pleasing territory where he'll let someone walk all over him, but he is definitely a dependable person who others can rely on. If you need him to go get something? He's on it! If somebody needs a hug? Count on him. You have a secret you need to get off of your chest? He's your guy. He takes pride in being the person that friends and family can rely on during good and bad times.

Unfortunately, that eagerness that Chulsoo usually displays also rears its head in a negative way as well. He's a very combative person when pushed around or treated badly. This also includes if someone is mistreating his loved ones. He isn't really one to talk it out before putting his fists up. He's both a lover and a fighter, and he will fight for his honor and anyone else's. Once he's reached this point, there's no point in seeking mercy from him. For such an easygoing guy, it would take something bad for him to get ready to fight, and once it's gone this far, he can't be talked down from this cliff. Everyone else might want to back away because it will get violent. Even if there's no fighting involved, if someone has lost favor with him, there will be no more smiles or care from him. Chulsoo will only be scowls, anger, and resentment. He won't have any pity for anything that happens to that person, and he'll completely turn his back on them even if they were in dire need of help.

If it wasn't already obvious, Chulsoo is as stubborn as a mule. Once he's made his mind up, nobody is going to change it other than himself. And if someone tries, it's going to be like talking to a brick wall. Honestly, the more someone tries to sway him, the less likely he is to budge. It's almost out of spite at that point, and he'll refuse to admit if he's wrong. He'd go so far to pretend he doesn't realize or know he's wrong just to keep from admitting it. He hates that about himself, but it's nothing that's ever going to change. Not unless he really tries to do something about it, which he won't. This, his fighting, and his belief that he'll never be good enough is the reason he's so self-loathing. It won't show in his daily behavior, but he doubts himself a lot. He won't put his full effort into something, thinking he'll mess it up. He believes that he'll never live up to anyone in the rest of his family, so he just lives his life knowing he's worth nothing.

BACKGROUND Chulsoo was the first-born twin, a bit bigger than his twin sister. Even though their mother was born in Gyeongju, she moved to New York shortly after finding out that she was pregnant and decided to raise her children in America instead. Unfortunately, the childbirth was too much for their mother, and she ended up passing away shortly after the twins were born. Their maternal family didn't even know of the twins' existence, so they were immediately placed in the care of their father, who was at the hospital when they were born.

Completely inexperienced with fully raising children, especially on his own, Hwan Jaebeom decided to simply take the twins with him everywhere he went. They were sloppily homeschooled, and they traveled the world with their father. They saw many things they shouldn't have seen, like their father getting and being drunk, their father flirting with women and taking them home, and endless adult parties. Surprisingly to most of the family, the twins didn't grow up completely messed up by the actions of their father.

They spent almost every holiday in Hwan Village ever since they were born, so they were under the influence of their aunts, uncle, and older siblings and cousins. The family used these times to make sure they weren't scarred for life by Jaebeom refusing to slow down his lifestyle.

Truthfully speaking, the twins loved their life. They were spoiled and received anything and everything they wanted. They saw a lot of things, but they took care of each other and chalked it up to maturing earlier than other children. They barely focused on schoolwork, doing enough to graduate on time in March of 2023. Since then, Chulsoo and his twin sister have still been hanging around their father and living their own escapades beside Jaebeom, not really knowing anything else.

ROUTINE Chulsoo doesn't usually rise until it's noon (or sometimes afternoon). He has to sleep off all of the drinking and dancing he'd done the night before.

Once he does wake up, he makes sure to exercise. His sister customizes his workout routine, and he follows it to perfection. He showers afterwards, taking extra care of his skin and hair to make sure its as close to perfect as possible.

After she makes sure he looks good, he takes the next couple of hours to take personalized pictures, videos, and messages to all of his clients (via Chaerin's approval).

After this, he's allowed to spend the day however he wants. He usually meets back up with Chaerin and their father to party the night away. If he has a client that night, he'll either invite them to the party or forfeit the party for a private date. More often than not, Chulsoo ends up spending the night with his clients, so he doesn't get to use his own bed as much as he'd like.

CURRENT LIVING SITUATION Chulsoo still lives with his father and twin sister. They have a home in Gyeongju-si, but they're rarely there. His father works in Seoul, so they spend more time in their Seoul home. They travel often, so it's not unusual for them to be in some expensive hotel or airbnb for weeks or weekends at a time.

SECRET Chaerin and Chulsoo are not Hwan Jaebeom's children. They are actually the illegitimate children of Hwan Jaejoon. He had an affair with their mother, and he paid her to move away to New York to have them. He was there for their birth, but he signed his name on their birth certificate as Jaebeom's. He then called his own twin to help him out with the problem he'd made for himself. Jaebeom took responsibility for the Chaerin and Chulsoo, taking them as his own. However, he told the twins when they were around 12 the truth, bribing them with money to not tell the rest of the family. At this point in their lives, Chaerin and Chulsoo are content with their lives and with Jaebeom as a father, so they don't bother saying anything.

Jaebeom knows fully well what Chaerin has Chulsoo do, and he doesn't interject to avoid Chaerin's wrath. but he does tell Chulsoo to fight if he ever feels he needs to.

CHUSEOK Because this is the one holiday that Chaerin actually gives Chulsoo a break, this is his favorite holiday. He's more than happy to relax and spend some much needed time with all of his family. He loves when a bunch of family members show up in Hwan Village. The more, the merrier!

HALLOWEEN He actually enjoys being dressed up by Chaerin and having the best costume around. He doesn't mind getting this kind of attention.

CHRISTMAS He's an exceptional gift giver. He pays attention to what others say they need or want throughout the year, and he buys all of his gifts fairly early. He can't wait to see the look on their faces when they open his gift.

NEW YEAR'S A day just for partying and drinking? Of course, he loves it.
