Anyone Ever Felt Writer's Guilt Before?

It's like...I dunno, sometimes I feel guilty when I write one-shots or fanfics that include , abuse, torture etc...I'm am NOT all for this stuff let me tell ya before you say 'Oh the writer must support these things, or get ' no I do NOT GET BY FICS. I try to make them realistic as possible, but I don't know. I've never been thankfully, so I don't know how a person who's been or almost might feel if I write these things...what do you guys think? Am I sick for writing these dark/angsty topics in my one-shot collection? I'm not gonna delete it...just wondering.

Wow you really think so? I'm sorry if I sounded rude or anything, about any of the actual victims ^^; But thank you! I know if I've ever been , I won't keep it bottled up inside me that's not good. Those who have been , and aren't ashamed to admit it I'm proud of those people :) It's not good to keep things bottled up, no matter what it is just let out what you're feeling. I always thought I was sick, or peverted for writing about because so many people on here are against it...thanks for assuring me I'm not sick minded ^^

Hi! there I want to assure you that you are not sick for writing about that doesn't show that you get or you support it !! but you are voicing things that exist in this world and we should talk about it and not keep quiet you 're doing a good thing by saying those things out loud things that victims are too afraid or ashamed to voice out because they think that it's their fault.
Thank you for voicing out what we couldn't say out loud you are doing us a great favor.

PS: I've never read any of your fictions but I'll start right now ^^!!!!

I sometimes feel like that too -_- But it's like the actual author's that include all that stuff in their published books...nobody seems to complain about that if murders//abuse/ etc are in a novel right? But in fanfiction oh no, it's just WRONG to include that stuff -_-

Well, that guilt is what I feel when I write . I feel like I'm disrespecting the body of the characters in the story. Awww. At least we feel guilt and not the ones doing fics that are still having fun on what they are doing.

Yes I agree. These are just fanfiction's, they aren't meant to be taken seriously...

This site only contains fictional stories. Writers are not responsible for the feelings the reader would have. We are responsible for the words, not about what they feel.

You know...you're right! If they're complaining about too many /abuse fics here on AFF, then why are they whining about it if they don't like the topics? That's why we have warning's too on our fanfics.

They can say what they want about us, but who's the one still reading it?
They are.
Besides, there's usually WARNINGS. So they're accusations are invalid.
