HOW DOES SHE USUALLY ACT ON A VARIETY SHOW: hyebin is usually the calm one in variety shows, providing intellectual insight and being a braincell in the group despite being one of the younger members. she does join in on the shenanigans but mostly prefers to sit back and watch. she is also known for her serial roasting, so better not blow her fuse.

POPULAR SHIPS:

— #rubenz aka ruby and benz. most people ship hyebin and benz because they're the maknaes of necalli. no other reason. ~~delulu fans would, don't @ me.~~

— #rubylove aka ruby and pinklove. due to being from/having spent time in the united states, being the sass masters of the group and their ability to roast anyone, hyebin and jiae quickly became a loved ship among necalli fans. they both hate it because 1) they both like other people and 2) that may be illegal considering that hyebin was a minor by korean terms when she and jiae first met.

— #sanby aka ruby and astro's sanha. this is easily hyebin's most popular "out-of-necalli" ship, because of their love line as yejin and sanha in astro's pre-debut drama "to be continued." they're simply just friends though.

— #jongby aka ruby and ateez' jongho. yet again another "out-of-necalli" ship. as two rookie groups that debuted in october 2018, delulu fans hopped onto the neteez train as soon as the groups debuted and hyebin and jongho became a famous ship as the 00's of the group.

— #kyubin aka ruby and hielo/kim kyuhyun from estrela project. with estrela project starting to air, fans noticed how kyuhyun/hielo fit hyebin's ideal type of kind, loyal and understanding and with how hyebin seemed to cheer for him a lot and how they interacted, #kyubin became a popular ship among fans who stan necalli and are viewers of estrela project.

WHAT IS HER IDEAL TYPE: hyebin's ideal type is someone kind, loyal and understanding, and someone who will love her for who she is.

IF SHE HAD TO NAME A CELEBRITY AS HER IDEAL TYPE, WHO WOULD SHE PICK: former wanna one member park jihoon. she was an avid watcher of produce 101 and he was her number one pick.

WHAT DOES SHE THINK ABOUT HOLIDAYS AND BIRTHDAYS: as she has spent a while in the united states, the way people celebrated certain holidays in the united states was very different than how they celebrated back in korea, so hyebin was very surprised. she prefers the korean celebrations though, especially having seaweed soup for her birthday. yum.

THOUGHTS ABOUT PINEAPPLE ON PIZZA: not her favorite, margherita pizza all the way. but she doesn't mind it. if it is ordered, she will eat it. she doesn't choose food. except for mint chocolate, that is nasty for her.

NICKNAME IN THE GROUP CHAT: either "jiae's sass protégé" or "youngest daughter".

WHAT DOES SHE THINK ABOUT THE DORM LIFE: she doesn't mind it. she did stay in the dorms as a fantagio entertainment trainee and during her time in sunlight entertainment as well, so she's used to it.

CHORES THAT SHE DOESN'T MIND DOING: washing the dishes, cleaning bedrooms.

CHORES THAT SHE ABSOLUTELY WILL AVOID: dusting, especially if the place hasn't been dusted in a while. hyebin is allergic to dust so she will have a coughing or sneezing fit at the smallest speck of dust.

HOW CLEAN IS SHE: very clean, due to her dust allergy.

WHO WOULD SHE LIKE TO ROOM WITH: either haeah or jiae.

WHO DOES SHE ABSOLUTELY NOT WANT TO ROOM WITH: maybe myunghee, but at least the stuff she throws around doesn't collect dust.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS: she thought daehwan seemed adorable and dependable, like an older brother.

REAL LIFE: hyebin cares a lot about daehwan and really looks up to him as the leader of necalli, a performer and a person. she hopes that daehwan also sees her in a similar light.

ON CAMERA: hyebin is one of the members that joins in on the teasing but also protects him when the teasing gets too much and moves into the lowkey roasting territory.

TRIVIA:

— hyebin says her contact name for daehwan on her phone is "ahjussi" but it's actually "papa". "appa" is for her own father.

— she's actively trying to communicate with him in english to help him improve his skills and confidence.

LEE DAEHWAN

FIRST IMPRESSIONS: she thought haeah was absolutely gorgeous and that she had the kdrama actress look.

REAL LIFE: hyebin also looks up to haeah a lot and respects her a lot, especially after learning that she has beat deafness. she has looked up the amusia online and tries to help haeah whenever she can. also, she sees the way daehwan and haeah's gazes linger just a bit longer on each other and she's all 👀. like "okay, i see you two."

ON CAMERA: hyebin and haeah are the ultimate mother-daughter pair when it comes to variety shows, and hyebin also helps keep the members in check when she isn't being pulled into the shenanigans.

— hyebin has haeah saved as "mama" under her contacts. once again, "eomma" is for her own mother.

— and once again, similar to daehwan, she's trying to teach haeah english.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS: hyebin thought jiae was so cool with the way she walked into the practice room as if she owned the place.

REAL LIFE: jiae and hyebin are the master and the apprentice, with jiae having seen the potential in hyebin to be a sass queen like her and thus, having taken the young rapper under her wing. as both of them have lived in america for a significant amount of time, they mostly communicate with each other in a mix of english and korean.

ON CAMERA: their interactions are basically the same on camera, with them usually being paired up for group challenges or just serially roasting the others if they get on their nerves. those two are a duo to be feared.

TRIVIA:

— hyebin has jiae saved as "queen shin" under her contacts.

— (if they become roommates) they spend most of their time talking about anything from their experience with martial arts to their time in the states or just watching things from either one of their laptops with facemasks on.

— in fanfics that necalli fans write (those that don't ship #rubylove that is), hyebin is often portrayed as a member of the shinfam, either the adopted youngest sister or a cousin from their mother's side of the family.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS: hyebin was intimidated by katsumi, mainly because of the piercings that she has but she also found her cool.

REAL LIFE: they are pretty close, due to speaking english, liking anime and enjoying reading. they can often be found watching anime on one of their laptops, getting into heated debates in a mix of english and korean about haikyuu or just catching up on their respective reading while playing music in the background. it's always a fun time with katsumi and hyebin appreciates her a lot.

ON CAMERA: they're not that different from the way they act in real life, usually seeking each other out for peaceful times when the other members get too rowdy, or kat usually dragging hyebin into their shenanigans.

OKAMOTO KATSUMI

FIRST IMPRESSIONS: oh he's cu– holy that voice. it's even deeper than sebin's, what the fu–

REAL LIFE: very much an older brother and younger sister relationship, makes sense as they're both jiae's children, luey is one of the members hyebin is closest to in the group. they consider themselves each other's "found sibling" and protect each other as such. they're always spending time together and hyebin is trying to convince luey to re-activate his soundcloud, as she thinks they can upload lots of tracks there.

ON CAMERA: they're pretty much the same on camera, except with a lot more good-natured roasting and teasing from both sides. this is their way of showing their love for each other.
