Donggeun is someone very perceptive, meaning he's attuned to the details and moods of the people around him, what makes him a naturally caring person and he makes friends easily because of that. Add the fact that he's very loyal, and you have the start of his golden retriever personality. Curiosity is also a big thing with him. He always wants to know what's happening, how that thing works and why you think that way. He's immaginative and open-minded because of that, but he also can be a tiny bit meddlesome too, sometimes. Tying it all together is his enthusiasm. Enthusiams for new things, new projects, new friends, just enthusiams for life in itself.
Because he's so enthused with everything he's also very optimistic, and while it has a good side of making him cheeful and always thinking by the bright side, it also means that sometimes he simply won't see (or will even refuse to see) the reality of things when it gets bad. On the same note of too much of a good thing becoming a bad thing, in his attempts to make everyone happy he accomodates too much and let people walk over him. Sure, he's great at playing the diplomat and de-escaling fights, but it's usualy at his own expense. He's also very stubborn, what makes it difficult for him to change his ways even when people he trusts says he should change for his own good. On the other side, he might find a solution for a problem or make friends with someone just out of pure force of will and spite.
On his obvious bad side: he's an absolute typhoon of chaos. He's disorganized, not only with his things but with his thoughts as well, what makes his line of logical thought to be almost impossible to follow. He's restless and unfocused, always moving and jumping into things without thought and uncapable of easily finishing something long term if he's not moved by spite and force of will (see his stubborn streak). And on the botton of the chest of ugly things that he tries to hide with prettier things on top, he's a people-pleaser. Meaning that while on the outside he just seems that the loud anf fun guy that does it because he wants to, he actually wants peopke to like him and he takes it really hard when people don't. he might even do unadvised things to make people like him (meaning that if things go bad he can have a bit of self-destructive behaviour if that means being "accepted" by others).

Donggeun had mostly a very good life. As a seamstress, his mother worked from home and he he knew that as long as he didn't mess with her projects he was always welcome into her sewing room. His father worked (and still works) as a sound and audio technician, and Donggeun has many fond memories of the times his father took him to his job during school vacations while his mom was busy. Seeing very talented people record songs with instruments and their voices is probably what made Donggeun like music so much (and his father was always enthusiactic to shere his passion with his son) and what inspired him to want to work with music in any way possible.

His most dramatic moment was an incident when he was in the end of middle school. The school where he went had a group of older students that had a band of their own. Donggeun thought that they were the coolest guys ever, and he wanted to befriend them. To his surprise, they accepted him into their group. He thought he was kind of the mascot and he didn't mind when they asked him to run some errands, usually buy snacks, even when they forgot to give him money and he had to use his own allowance.When they said that they were thinking of inviting him to some of their secret outings he got so happy! But on his way home, Alon, his oldest friend and neighbour pulled him aside and told him he had to stop hanging around the older boys. He had heard from his older brother that they were bad news and he didn't want Donggeun to get in trouble because of them. Donggeun got upset, because of course not, he must be wrong. They were his friends!  But that kept bugging his mind and he started to notice that something did feel off about his older friends. When the day of the secret outing came, he decided to confront them, since he didn't even know where they were going. They made fun of him because he was scared and with the confrontation ongoing, Donggeun had his heart broken. They were just messing with him, they never really cared. He ran home and cried, and when Alon found him in their secret space between their houses, Donggeun thought that Alon would gloat, because he was right in the end, but the other boy just sat with him and hugged him, saying that he was too good for them anyway.

When it was time for highschool, his parents moved him to another school, so he could start anew (After Donggeun and Alon talked, they went to Alon's parents and they agreed to talk with Donggeun's parents, because Donggeun was to ashamed of what had happened to tell his parents himself). In the new school he made new friends, real friends, and he kept a strong friendship with Alon. With those school friends he made a group, and they would play music together andlearn together and they even went busking. It was in one of those buskings at the end of 2017, in a cold winter afternoon in a weekend, that a scout from Prism found Donggeun and offered him a chance, after seeing the boy improvising rap verses in real time according with funny words that the crowd gave him.

After becoming the first male trainee at Prism, he also joined Under Nineteen to promote the upcoming boy group and to bring attention to Prism that now they had male trainees. There he met many people and made new friends and also created a good image for him company. Not long after Prism opened the auditions and the story of Vesper started.

Just have fun here! Likes, dislikes, habits, hobbies, misc.
- When he participated in the survival show, he had short wavy brown hair, that gave him a bit of a puppy look.

- He understands/speaks basic Tagalog because for 16 years (until he moved out of his parent's house) his neighbours were Filipino and they owned a bakery on the first floor of their house. He also grew up with the family's son, that is the same age as him.

- His favorite western musical act is the Wu Tang Clan, that despite still being active and being nothing short of legends, they were super big in the 90's and 00's, and that's exactly Donggeun's favorite decades.

- Despite being an only son, he's used to a big family. His grandma had five children, and while his oldest uncle had only two children, his three aunts had three children each. (And that is only on his father's side. He still has a couple cousins from his mother's side of the family).

- He loves watermelon. And he specially likes the game where you have to hit the watermelon with a baseball bat before eating.

- He is deathly allergic to strawberries. Even things with fake strawberry flavour he stays far away from. Because his allergic reaction involves swelling of his airways (meaning he can suffocate), he always carries Epipen with him (and the managers too).

- He loves sci-fi movies and books. His current favorite movies are Space Sweepers and Pacific Rim.

- He can sleep anywhere and in any position. He's the type of guy that can sleep sitting with his back straight.

- He's a big fan of B.A.P, even if they aren't active anymore. They were a big part of his pre-teens and teenager years. Nowadays he likes BTS and Seventeen a lot too.

Park Yeongja|Grandma [fc Kim Young Ok] caring/sassy/supportive/stubborn [b.1937]
She is Donggeun's number one fan and supporter. She actually lives in Seoul so during his trainee years Donggeun visited his grandma a lot. She also went to all the live performances while he was on the reality show. She was adopted by all of his fans (or more like she adopted them all) and so his fandom is surprisingly peaceful. Grandma Yeongja is also a bit social media famous because of not only being the very enthusiastic #1 fan of her grandson, but also because she has a very unique colorful style and she made success on Instagram with her granny fashion.

Choi Yubin| Teammate you know his info better than me 
Stormcloud meets sunshine: that's their dynamics. Yunbin glares, Donggeun laughs. Yunbin scalates a situation, Donggeun descalates that same situation. Yunbin is bad at expressing emotions, Donggeun is always ready to offer a word of suppport, a shoulder to lean on or an encouraging pat on the back. Yunbin might be a little , but he's part of Vesper and Donggeun waited for each new member of the team and no matter what he will not give up on any one of them. He WILL befriend Yubin, even if he has to wear down the older boy first! [or maybe they are already friends? Since there is a year between Yubin joining Prism and Vesper's debut]

Vesper|
Although he might have different relationships with different members, in general he wants Vesper to succeed and he wants to be friends with everyone too.

Min Joohyun + Rendezvous|
Donggeun is younger than all of them (or the same age as the maknae line) and thus he's self appointed younger brother. As the only male trainee for a while, he inspired curiosity and his chatty and amicable personality gained him the sympathy of the girls.

Won Junhan| Manager
You can say that Donggeun is the closer one to Junhan, but that's not really a surprise since he was the first member alocated to the group. In the absence of fellow trainees, Donggeun had stuck to the nicer people on the staff, and Junhan was one of them. You could even wonder if CEO Jin put Junhan to manage Vesper exactly because he already had a good relationship with one of it's members. Donggeun also usually can wheedle Junhan to give them food, because deep down "Han-hyung" is a softie.

Hwang Mido| Manager
The feeling that Mido has of being the oldest relative at the kids table is mostly because of Donggeun. He would never do anything to hurt the group's image, but his idea of "proper behaviour" and "best self image" is a lot more fun than the one Mido has. He is the soul of the party but sometimes Mido just wants some peace and quiet.

PAST EXPERIENCE(S):
Music Lessons: He had informal learning with his dad about the things he did at work because Mr. Im loved his job and little Donggeun was curious about what his father did. Later his parents managed to put him into proper extracurricular music classes, where he learned from the basics to trying to dip his toes into composing. (because of his father's connections in the music industry, he managed to get some discounts so Donggeun could have classes even if his parents were not super well off.)
Busking: From middle school until he became a trainee, Donggeun had a kind of garage band/underground hip hop group with his friends. They mostly did covers, but sometimes they tried some original compositions or improvisations.
Under Nineteen: The survival show that he joined to put Prism's boy group project on the spotlight. It was also a great way to prove his talent besides gathering attention and fans.

TRAINEE LIFE: 
Donggeun joined Prism Ent at the very beggining of 2018. As the first and only male trainee he was basically Prism "only son" and he had what were essentialy private lessons with all the coaches, what made his abilities skyrocket in quality, compared with the short training period he had before going public. Although he enjoyed the opportunity to have classes tailored to him, he did felt a bit alone, so he was extasic when new male trainees started to arrive, and he personally arranged a welcome party to each new trainee. Despite not being the oldest of the trainees, he was the most senior one at Prism so he made sure to receive well and make them feel included and welcomed.

MEDIA PRESENCE: 
Chronologicaly, Donggeun's first exposure was his busking, but it only came up after he joined Under Nineteen and people realized they had clips of this guy on their phones.
His whole thing was gathering attention to himself and Vesper pre-debut, and he did so by joining Under Nineteen and then posting covers and dance practices and things like that. Because of his appearance in the survival show, the general public sees him as this super friendly (he made friends with anyone and everyone in the show) and talented guy that almost made it in the final line up.

First of all, he wants Vesper to succeed. After that, he's up for anything really. Tho he probably would have the most fun in Units and collabs where he can explore new things and new sounds. Besides, he has lots of idol friends that he could invite for collaborations.
