my credits were removed (+ so were my layout designer's)

i usually try to avoid any form of aff blog interactions or getting involved in anything beyond my inner circle, but something was brought to my attention by another user regarding my layouts. i was informed someone had removed the credits from one of the layouts myself and a friend had coded and designed.

i checked the thread myself to see if our credits had, in fact, been removed, and they had. i reached out through the comments on the thread to ask the creators to replace our credits, and left it at that.

six days later, our credits have still not been replaced on the thread, so this is just a friendly announcement: the user freelancen and their "selective ocrp" stole one of the layouts that my friend momo and i worked on.

the rp and the stolen layout:

the request to have our credits replaced:

the original layout, with intact credits:

i would just like to point out that this particular layout was open for free use so long as the users commented + left the credits. there was no reason to remove our credits, and there isn't the excuse of it being "an accident" considering the location of and nature of the credit.

i don't really know what to do from here, i don't really know what i can do from here, but i'm very frustrated about this whole situation. don't remove peoples' credits. we work hard on our layouts and we make them available for use, not so you can claim them as your own.

i really can't see the sense of removing the layout's credit??? it won't even ruin the layout's aesthetic???? it's literally just at the corner....

i am so sorry that this happened to you :(( is it possible to report the account if they haven't returned the credit in a certain period of time? because i will

i don't understand why plagiarism and stealing others' content keeps happening on this site??? it's not like the creators didn't put notices related to this topic, and you clearly wrote no altering the credits in your rules. it's either they're illiterate, stupid, or just refuse to acknowledge copyright issues :/

I’m so sorry to hear that this happened, I wish people would stop doing this because your codes are amazing and you deserve to be recognised for them

Well put.

Also a gentle reminder that this sort of thievery is why people stop making codes free for use, or simply stop making codes entirely.
