 In his spare time when not singing he likes to bake cakes and make cards for people's birthdays and other events that enjoy doing ever if his busy he always have time also well love writing songs and going to musicals, He is one of the most friendly persons you will meet when meeting fans or on TV, Chungae will always have a smile on his face that he enjoys have a chat as well. he loves to dance and work out to keep her energetic going, 

He is known to visit orphanages and ill people in hospitals that he talks to them and give them toys and sing to them that he them happy, He also helps s if they are upset or hurt that he is with them something is going on,  sometimes that the members don't know he saying and having a laugh even if he forgets what talking about.

 Chungae is very about Passionate both gymnastic and soccer, He still play and practice when he can, Thought not much anymore due to his busy schedule as an idol,  Chungae has always been athletic about his sports as he has been training since he was young and watching him doing artistic gymnastics seems like he should try out for the Olympics but for him, it's more of a hobby nowadays. 

He loves Manchester United and how he talked about visiting the UK just to watch one of their matches, He is also a massive fan of Son Heung-min who plays for Tottenham Hotspurs that he had a picture of him on his phone Also His wish is also to go to Norway one day to see a Tix concert also well the northern lights, he keeps looking up on Norway on Wikipedia and Youtube on its culture and history, As well being a fan of Bubble Tea that he drinks it every time if there going out somewhere like shopping or touring to a new place, He just have t buy one where he sees a bubble tea shop to bye one.

To him, friends are supposed to be people who don't get easily -hurt by his comments, which makes him comfortable around them. He enjoys the company of others, as he can share the many things he wants to say. However, Chungae is perceptive and rather calculating. He may not be academically brilliant, but he isn't that naive to believe and trust people so easily. It does take some time to get him to open up fully, and when he does admit you into his world, he cares for you in his strange little ways not by displaying signs or words of affection, but rather bestowing playful smacks and sometimes even insults when it comes to trust, Chungae takes the issue very seriously and he doesn't spread his trust around like cheap margarine. If someone does break that trust, he drops you as a friend without hesitation, and won't take you back until you drop down to the knees and beg for his forgiveness.

He can get in tempered when someone is annoying him or have to wake up early as well sasaeng fans or the paparazzi following him he can fight back, He gets a little angry if taking pictures of him if he shopping or going somewhere to eat and would shout at them and if someone annoying him would yell at them. 

 

 

BACKGROUND

Born in San Francisco, California  to a 25-year-old Korean mom from Seoul who immigrant to the US when she was 19 years old  who worked at the San Francisco airport as a translator and 32-year-old Korean-American father who worked in Financial accounting, They met at a Korean restaurant 3 years earlier where she worked and both fall in love and got married a year before Chungae was born,

His dad was worked almost 12 hours a day, trying to earn a living for the future of his family and unable to see them on weekdays, Living in a small house in the Sunset District area despite being a busy family where in the weekday he would have his grandparents looking after him while his parents worked almost the day, Almost every  weekend he would look up at his father where they would go to the park or the beach together that the mom would come every other week due to her job, One day the father asks if he wanted to go to gymnastic class as growing older, He said yes and from there he learned and focus every lesson that he known to do a cartwheel to balancing on the bean that his teacher and his parents know would he go to the Olympics one day,

Once he turned 7 years olds tragedy started to take a turn that his dad had a disease which he rather not say which killed him a few weeks later on 14th February 2007 the hospital bed around his loving family around him, iI's was too much for him to his father passed in front of him that it's changed his personality the most in his family so much that he didn't want to go to school and when he did   Chungae would talk about his father or death to classmates that he was upset and crying a lot in he and when 29th September all he did was visiting his grave on his birthday, Thinking of time they had together as father and son as well wanted to die just to be with him, He soon develop Depression, because what he saw that happen in his family,  Haneul mom's phone to see a counselor for him but  Chungae  would be hurt and upset the first time he met with Dr. Ha that he didn't talk to his feelings at first but after the second time of meeting him with his mom went with him and soon started to speak up about his dad and how to affect his life, He would still think of him anytime soon as he got on with living without his father and took medication to cram him down and make him better,

Two years after the death of her husband, His Mom met someone on a blind date set up by her Sister back in South Korea and see each other every month in The US and South Korea  that would take a massive step on Chungae  that was excited and also nervous at the same time of getting a new father and how his mom was happy of dating a new guy but as once he was 11 years old, The engagement of his Mom and stepfather means moving to the birth of his mom country, would be for him and his family worried not settling and missing his school friends that he would turn to music to forget the problem would face in case he wanted to be happy for his mom who was getting married, He learned to Rap and Sing as well playing the Piano and Guitar and enrolling himself in a gymnastic class in Seogwipo, He was used to starting to live in the beautiful seaside as a few months later witnessing his Mom in a beautiful wedding dress that wedding day where all his relatives and friends attending with late father parents and brother came from the US , He cried knowing he looked up to his mom even he still missed his father that she looked after him while everything was hard for both of them, During the ceremony he sang and played the Piano singing to all All my life by  K-Ci & JoJo he cried a little because it's was his first time singing in public and the fact he was happy now he got a new father,

When he was 13, His Mom was pregnant with his husband child as they were expecting a baby, It was all new to him as he was an only child before and he wasn't sure is a good or bad thing, fearing he might be jealous as they could forget him that he was studying after school he would go to the seaside and thrown rocks to forget as well at home still practicing his musical instruments and singing, beatboxing and rapping while writing songs, One of the songs he wrote about his sister to be as he was worrying too much and giving it to his 7-month-old pregnant mom it's about it's the happiness and love of someone being born into the world that she cried of how creative his son was that could anything with his talents, On May the 17th 2012, She gives birth to a daughter named Bada and Chungae was proud to be an older brother and he how to get play with her.

At 15 still in high school, he still was doing everything for his future like going to gymnastics in the Saturday mornings, Performing, Singing, or Beatboxing  in the street on the weekends as well as studying, He was a busy teen not having time to play with his friends, At the same time he knew starting to take too much of his life thinking he would be ill with all this work and his new baby sister, He took a little break for a month only to focus on schoolwork and his friends and his family as he begins to take that seriously ever since the death of his father 7 years ago, A month turned into 3 months then he back into before worrying to forget everything as it was before but this time taking  gymnastics twice a once on Monday before school, and just singing Singing  all day on Saturday still to focus on schoolwork and his friends most days

There was scouted by YG entertainment to be a trainee, His stepfather was against it at first moving to Seoul at 16 by himself but with the all hard work he went into to have his dream come turn, He let him in the end and try out for a new show Mix Nine a few years after becoming a trainee even if he misses his parents and friends back home as he worked hard for his goal to becoming the final nine specializing in Singing and Rapping but eliminated in the third round he left YG soon after and got in a job working in a bakery part-time in the day time and as a lounge singer at weekends nights as well a little modeling but decided to audition again this time with Big Hit he brought his Guitar along and sang Shape of You by Ed Sheeran, He passed and joined the company in October 2020 and now he set to debut with K-OS  after few months of hard work.

 Mother / Kim Soomin  / 48 / Former Waitress and Former Korean Language Interpreter/ Housewife  / She was  25 when she got married to her Boyfriend known each other since meeting in a Korean restaurant, Despite him being 7 years older than her and with their parent's permission they were able to fall to have a wedding they When her husband passed away with a disease at 38 she looked after her child all by herself like her son she went through a loss too, it's a massive decision for her to move back to South Korea and have a talk with a son would it be ok for him?  Once she got married again she left the San Francisco International Airport as  Korean Language Interpreter to move back to South Korea, Again he messages her when he can every few weeks.

Father / David Seo  / Distance (Dead) / Former Banker /The Son of Korean Immigrants who moved to the US in the mid-1960s, He grew up with one older brother and a younger sister, He worked as a Financial Accounter on weekdays but when it's was Saturday he would take his wife and son to the park or the beach, Chungae would look up to him as his father his death in 2007 It's wasn't easy to get over it at first as the son and mom cope with the loss, The family still visit the grave every year on the day of his death.

Younger Half-Sister /Bada Seo / 8 / School Student  /Growing up with a father and mother together always looked after up at them as the family she loves she is 14 years younger than him and always looks up to his older brother as a role model that even she doesn't see him that much he still visit like rest of the family does and she's still at school so she not what she wants to be when she's grown up.

Stepfather  /Kim Daejung  / 49 / A Policeman/ When first meeting Chungae on a blind date, He didn't know what to expect from his future wife but got to know her and found her beautiful despite living on another side of the world, They stayed in contact still and it's a massive decision for the wife to be to setter down back to Korea and the Stepson used to living in the US, He met him around 4 times before he moved to South Korea so can be happy for his mom, His was against this idea for him to be Idol and moved to Seoul at 15 all by himself but he has seen how talented how he was and working every day let him in the end, Again he still calls to see how it's going every week and it's unknown he was married before or always single.

Aunt  /Seo Jiah   / 54 / A Teacher / Soomin's Older Sister, was the matchmaker for his mom and stepfather, She has known him from his work where she was a policewoman, It's not much known about her still.

 Friend / Choi Sungmin  /22/  Internet Retail Entrepreneur /  A year younger than him but they met as neighbors where he was 12 and he was 13, Even they both busy with his business and Chungae as an idol every few months when he goes back home, Thet both meet up for food or coffee as well seeing his girlfriend make sure they stay in contact still, It unknown what internet retail he owns.

 Friend /Shin Jung Min  /22/  Former Mix Nine  Contestant and Rapper /  They both met on Mix Nine survival reality show back in 2018, Not much is known about him outside the show, They still like to rap together when they can.
