boknam is happy to lucky, she always finds a reason to smile and brighten the day of those around her. even when she’s going through a hard time there’s always something to smile about and be happy for, like being alive! she likes to entertain other people and make them laugh with her goofy ways. but she can be serious when she has to and takes her commitments really seriously. she’s quirky and awkward when she talks, since she’s from the countryside some of the references she makes are considered weird to other people. in situations that it’s awkward or she doesn’t know what to do she’ll make a joke and laugh by herself so some people think she’s strange. she really means well though.
she likes to help people because she doesn’t want anyone to be sad. she gets taken advantage of because of that. she’s naive and thinks people have good intentions like in her small town. her determination to reach her goal makes her more susceptible to manipulation because if someone claims they want to help her then she’ll believe it. she’s willing to work hard to achieve any success.
she likes to plan things which is why she made sure she had money before going to seoul and even got a place to live. when things don’t go as plan she panics and becomes all over the place like being late. she doesn’t like uncertainty because if she says she’s going to do something she likes to follow through.

BACKGROUND
boknam is the oldest out of 3 girls born in a rural town in daegu. her parents were both young farmers and had her at a young age at 19. both of them have a middle school education and never went to highschool so they could help their parents at the farm. the school system there wasn't good anyways and no one in their town thought of leaving. from young boknam was a lively and dramatic child, she helped her parents at the farm and would break out into song while using the weed she just pulled as a microphone. she loved dressing up too and used the animals in the barn as a her scene partner. whenever her parents watched movies she told them that she'll be there someday. they didn't believe someone from their town would ever make it so they just laughed it off but she was serious.
when her two sisters bokyoung and bosun were born in 2003 and 2007 she helped her parents take care of them a lot, she was a caring and attentive older sister. as the oldest she wanted to be a good role model to them. so unlike her parents she went to highschool, she got good grades and everyone knew her as the entertaining one of the class. she was the class president and sang for the morning assemblies and in the choir. her school didn't have a drama club though. she was popular with everyone and they loved her, she was always knwon as different because she dreamed big unlike everyone else.
when she graduated in 2016 she became an assistant teacher at her highschool even though she didn't go to college because she was well known. she opened her own drama club for the students, they peformed their own plays for the whole community and boknam was proud of what she created. she accepted the fact that she couldn't be a big movie star because she didn't have the money but at least she was sharing her talents with her community.
in 2018 bokyoung got pregnant at 15 and there was a new addition to the family. bosun was scared because like boknam she wondered if there was more to life than their small town. being on the big screen was still boknam's goal even though she kind of gave it up. seeing her sister worry and her students telling her that they wanted to be so determined like her and be actors too, she felt that she owed it to them to work hard and achieve her goal. for the next 3 years boknam worked 3 jobs, being a drama teacher by day, a bathhouse worker at night, and delivery girl on the weekends. after three years she finally saved enough money to go to seoul and start her life. it's only been a few days since she landed in seoul and moved into her small one room apartment on the outskirts of the city.

DAILY LIFE, ROUTINE!
boknam doesn't have a set routine since she doesn't have a job at the moment. she likes to wake up early to watch the sun rise so she naturally gets up from 5:30am to 6:00am. she likes to go on a walk through nature in the morning then spend her time looking for auditions, memorizing scripts, going to auditions, and exploring seoul. those are her three main activities. sometimes auditions can take hours of waiting for 2 minutes so she might spend all day there. she likes going outside and doesn't mind doing activities on her own. instead of staying at home to study her lines she would go to a cafe and look crazy talking to herself or the park. after getting friends she would spend time with them instead. she's usually in bed by 10 to 10:30pm. but as time goes on and she makes friends and goes to parties and auditions more, she would start to sleep in from hangovers.

boknam moved to seoul in hopes of becoming a famous actress and showing the people back at home that anything is possible. she has enough money to last a few months and thinks that should be enough time for her to land a big role. the problem is she knows absolutely no one in the city, let alone where to start. she gets acquainted eventually and tries to make a few friends but it's a lot harder and competitive than she thinks. she'll soon learn that the entertainment industry is slimy and all about connections. she faces the highs and lows of the industry like meeting rude actresses, sleazy directors, getting told she's not pretty enough. its the friends that she makes along the way and the people back home that keeps her going. on top of the struggles of auditions and memorizing scripts she might have to get a part time job so she won't get kicked out of her tiny apartment that she's almost 100% sure has mold. there are many times where she just thinks about going home because she can't take it anymore. but the main turning point would be that she gets the opportunity of a lifetime but it comes with consequences or goes against her morals and she doesn't know if she should accept it and finally live her dream or just go home back where she belongs.
when going through tough stuff, its written all over her face even her voice sounds down. for an actress she's not good at hiding her emotions, instead she pours them into her role so if she's actually upset those fake tears would be real tears. she would say she's fine but then slam the door. as the oldest sister she doesn't like putting her burdens onto others, it takes her a lot to say what's actually wrong. but when she does she bursts out crying and it all comes out at once.

My goal is to be the biggest actress in Korea obviously! I want to make the people back home proud! I always used to think hard work pays off so everyday I work towards my goal so I can succeed. I want to show my younger sister and all the people I used to teach that anything is possible.

Energetic, optimistic, and hardworking. Some people might call me crazy after seeing me look like I’m talking to myself in public but I’m just practicing my lines! I’m not crazy I swear!
