beatrice always knew that she was raised to be a businesswoman, she can tell because her personality just screams that. confident is probably the first word that comes to people's mind when they first see her. she always walks with her head up and had always been known to do things herself, not needing other people and relying on herself. those confidence are needed to satisfy her large amounts of ambition. she wants to do everything and anything, always detemined in checking the list of her goals and never afraid to aim really high, having clarity in what she wants. she works really hard for it, rarely ever stopping in just one thing as her will is nearly impossible to break. beatrice have come a long way from being a childish person, as she grows she does not lack the perception and wit that she once didn't seem to display. in the past she was more rigid and quick to temper, now she has developed into a more calm & intelligent exterior. she has learned to not attack back when it's not necessary, albeit she's still very sarcastic at times. another part of her is that she is more considerate towards the people around her. she does not outrightly reject their companion nor act as if she doesn't need anyone else anymore. she has learned that it is okay to have friends and people around you. she knows that she is terrible at comforting words, so she just sits down and listen to them when they need it. and she only let her close friends give her affection because she secretly likes it lmao

no matter what the situation is, she can't stop working. not only she does that because she has a lot of passion inside her, but it's also because she was made to believe that she won't have any purpose if she just stops and relax. although it had given her many benefits, it has taken a toll on her mental health that she has neglected for years. her father always taught her to draw the line between personal and professional, and that's the one thing she'll ever agree with him in. she does her work thoroughly and responsibly, always striving for the best in it. she's clear on what she wants and always does her role accordingly. her experience has made her learn to work with a team and in her business, to be a leader. one of her neutral personality that she gained is her ability to just have fun a little bit. she's still awkward and doesn't really initiate it, during times where she's forced to relax then she might just. whenever her members ask her to do something silly with them, she will tolerate it (although she will act like she doesn't care). but along with doing their shenanigans, she'll usually do it with a straight unimpressed expression

old habits always die hard and this definitely includes her flaws. it is very hard to change her mind, once she is set on something then she will do it no matter what. it is because of her confidence that is like a double-edged sword that makes her think that she is always right. that she knows what to say and what to do, and nobody can tell her that she's wrong because ultimately, she is always right. but of course there will be times that she is wrong, yet this woman is too prideful to even admit that she is. she is working on her massive ego and it still takes a lot for her to even say sorry, which will put people off. some will be understanding, especially her closests friends that knows she has come a long way. but for some other people there should always be times where you should throw your pride away. beatrice is the type of person that doesn't really have much to say. it is not as much as she doesn't want to say anything, it's more to the fact that she doesn't have any filter once she opens . painfully honest as her friends describe it. and once she said her what she thinks, most of the time, there's no remorse. she needs guidance when it comes to making the right decision on what to say or also feel apologetic if she came out too harsh. this is the flaw that she hates the most because it's the one she's more aware of. the thing she has been struggling with since she first started is her indiffence that stemmed from her disability of being open and vulnerable to other people. she has trust issues and has not been taught healthy ways on dealing with it. thus she feels like if she acts like she doesn't care then people won't care either. that's why she was and is mostly apathetic towards very emotional experiences and can come off as uncaring towards other people's experiences. she is still very much having a hard time managing this, but with the help of her friends and her loved ones, she may be able to just open up. all it takes is the first step.

beatrice was supposed to be the heir of the belladonna industries, she was supposed to be adorned with the crown of the most powerful italian conglomerate. that's what her father has been raising her for. all the lessons since she was a child were built for her to be put in a high place business-wise. although she does have the knack of it and the emerging personality, her interests didn't seem to align with what her father wants. she didn't show it immediately, but it was apparent that out of all the lessons that her father put her into, music lessons was the one that she enjoyed the most. her father let it slide as he thinks that it will build a good impression & uplift the popularity. but she starts to neglect the other studies on purpose. she started to rebel and refuses to do what her father says, wanting to do music. her mother encouraged her to do what she wants and her father ignored this as he thinks it's just a small speck of phase that will be one of the bumps to her future, but he started thinking about something else.

her family moved to korea at 2010 mainly because her father wanted to do business there, it was supposed to be something temporary. but it was a whole other change for beatrice as she was entranced by the music of the country. she started to rebel even more and announces that she will not be his successor, showing resilience and stubbornness that was molded from her father's teaching. although impressed by how much the discipline worked, her father dismissed this as he was no longer interested in investing his time in her, already putting all his attention towards her little brother and making him the heir to the title. ever since that, her relationship with her father has been strayed as she kept on walking to the path that she wants to do. despite that, her mother and aunt encouraged her to keep doing what she wants & endorsed her musical needs. she started to seriously pursue her career at 16 when she starts to upload her music to soundcloud, gaining an underground career & has a humble amount of following. she kept doing that until she turns 18, where she starts to get overtly ambitious and thinking that she can get into a company to work as a music producer. she starts sending in her music to various companies, in the hopes for at least one of them to accept her. of course even with her self-producing skills, her lack of experience in her field and her age made it impossible. too prideful to just let it go, she decided to go for another route. the idol route. it is not the most ideal route that she wants to do but there are things that even she should realize she has to sacrifice. so she started to audition with her guitar and her voice to various companies and managed to land in one sm entertainment. everyone knows that the idol life is not easy, but it is way harder for someone with a personality like hers

💜  animals; the only reason why people doesn't wholly think of her as a bad person is because of her soft side towards animals. and when i say animals, i mean all animals. she would literally not hurt a single fly, she can't say the same about humans though

💜  appearance; beatrice's physique in general does look like the typical korean body standard. she's slim figured, has long legs, high waist, dainty fingertips, defined jawline and small face. it is honestly something that people see everyday, but what differentiates her from the crowd is the way she carries herself. she has this intimidating and cocky aura, the kind of vibe that people often say "when she enters, she commands the whole room". her resting face is something that will make people uncomfortable as she has piercing eyes and she tends to stare people down. her hair is thick and wavy, reaching just below her shoulders

   -- due to the nature of how she grew up, it started out bad for beatrice when she first started training in sm entertainment's general training. she was very entitled and has a very houlier-than-thou attitude, only wanting to practice when she wants to & throwing a tantrum when she doesn't like something. but she learned the hard lesson that the trainers are not forgiving nor lenient, especially since they're not paid to be nice unlike her old music teacher used to be. and her attitude made her unlikeable by the trainees her age while the older ones treats her like the spoiled brat that she is. she turns into a lone wolf, but it didn't break her will to do what she wants. she becomes more hardworking and gained a less childish attitude, pulling through the ranks and became one of the top trainees in terms of vocals. her producing skills and lyricism also didn't go unnoticed as she was brought in for a special training under several producers and notably, jeon jisoo. as time goes by, it just felt like she was more like an intern or assistant producer rather than an idol trainee. the amount of times her vocals were used as a guide version and threw her own lyricism into several established sm groups (uncredited at the time because she was still a trainee). the people in charge does this on purpose because they can see her potential, and putting her in that position will help with her teamwork skills that she lacks. but this made beatrice convinced that she might not debut as an idol after all and works as a music producer instead. it really does feel like her dreams are not so far away after all

💜  [ SLJK PROGRAM late november 2018 - present ]  

november is nearing to an end; the slightly more neutral tempered sibling of the seasons will soon be replaced by the unforgiving winter. and with the seasons change, the SLJK program will soon close their recruitment/audition period. the head of the program, madame kang, was adequately satisfied with the current roster of trainees. however she also knows there are more hidden gems in the company, her watchful eyes of recruiters have proven useful for that but she knows there are still untapped potential. she might have to settle for adequate for now, at least until she opens the next roster.

whilst deep in her thought, her ears picked up a voice that suddenly sprang up from the speakers. madame kang and her co-director, takashi, was reviewing some songs compiled by vocal coach jeon jisoo and rap coach im kijeong. they had been in the meeting room for half an hour, listening to potential songs that could be used for the groups, both made by the coaches and ones made by the older trainees of SLJK who does producing work. it was one of the coaches song that started with the voice of jeon jisoo, when suddenly the gentle but refreshing voice echoes. it's as if the breeze of spring and the warmth of summer envelopes the room. it is a voice rarely found in sm entertainment who prefers powerful vocals. this is it, another hidden gem found

"where are we going again?" irritation is apparent in the woman's voice, following her...mentor? who's walking ahead her into a building she never ventured into. jisoo should've known that interrupting the recording session would poke the short temperament of his student, but it was something that he should do. there are people who are more scarier than someone younger than him with an attitude problem. but jisoo is patient, and frankly he's used to the tangible negative emotion that she exudes. "trust me, it'll be worth it" flashing his gentle smile as they reach a door and opened it

"so~" the cheery voice of heechul perked up as soon as they walked in, his eyes shifting playfully between beatrice and jisoo "this is our vocal coach's champion, the notorious ice queen herself" he cooed. beatrice's eyes darted accusingly to jisoo, as if saying 'tf did you do?'. jisoo could only shrug and walked to the side of all the staffs are, leaving beatrice at the spotlight where eyes land upon her. realisation dawned upon her that it is an evaluation. the problem is, she doesn't know for what

nothing surprises madame kang, but she expected someone who matches the voice the other day. instead she was greeted by sharp eyes and a bitter cold aura. compared to the youthful and energetic faces of the SLJK trainees in the room who's asked to spectate, this one is more mature and, dare she say, cocky? but it doesn't bother her at all. madame kang flips through the file, leaning back to the chair "let's see what you can do then"

beatrice is not one for much words, she opts for people to see it through her expression. and she is clearly saying 'what the ' right now. madame kang sighs "you're a singer right yeo soori?" beatrice's face harden at the name "so sing" the lady practically sneered. even if beatrice is seething with anger at the moment, she doesn't show it. she only managed to roll her eyes when they couldn't see her face as she played a song from the speaker. some people recognises the tune when it started but was pleasantly surprised when the lyrics are written by her. spring and summer came back again to this very room, but now accompanied by the cool edge of winter in her visuals. jisoo smiled in approval when their eyes met, giving her a thumbs up. the music stops and she bows just a bit, claps can be heard here and there

but madame kang wasn't impressed

"is that all you could do? a cover?" her tone was very lax, as if she's bored of beatrice. the younger woman was fighting back the urge to raise her voice "i wrote the lyrics-" "yes yes we know, but we have lyricists and phenomenal songwriters in our roster already" madame kang leaned forward "what makes you so special?" everybody knows that the big boss is taunting her, and it worked "i don't even know what this is for, as far as i know you're the one who asked jisoo-nim to drag me here" those sentences would be filled with more profanity if it weren't for the restraint she has. madame kang raised her eyebrow "you would be foolish to not know the SLJK program" ah, it all makes sense to beatrice now. at this point she should be the one feeling honoured to be dragged here and even being considered into the program, bowing repeatedly and beg to be let in

but this beatrice and her immense pride that we're witnessing "i'm doing just fine in the general training-" "you've been there for what? 2 years? your impressive contribution to some of the groups song is certainly to be praised for, it is too bad that you can't be proud of it because of your trainee status" beatrice's eyes twitch, her composure starting to fall down "and you're not even put into any group roster, and even when you are in a group, how can you ensure you'll take full control of your own songs?" madame kang chuckled, the room fell silent at the heavy atmosphere where the lionness and the cat has a staring contest. "in SLJK, all of your talents are put to a good use" the glint in madame kang's eyes changes "so show me what you got or get. out"

the tension was still very heavy by the time beatrice finished singing. even some of the trainees were hesitant to clap, afraid that they'll make the wrong move. in the end, madame kang chalked it up as 'good enough' and finishing it with a note that she'll be halted from producing activities until she gets better in dance

jisoo walked her out of the building and gave her some encouraging words, patting her head as he walked back inside. beatrice stood outside of the building that she'll start attending the very next day all alone in her feelngs. and there's only one feeling that she knows right now

   --   where is beatrice?/let's find beatrice!   beatrice had become notorious for 'mysteriously disappearing' whenever the camera is around. when the program first started, she rarely makes any cameo nor even talk unless somebody asks her. it comes to the point where the fans even asked where she had gone because the only constant appearance she made on camera is when she was first introduced. the more playful members had made their own segment of "let's find beatrice!" where they scour SLJK building to look for her (usually in the recording studio). once they found her, they'll film her for like a minute or so and then they'll be like "alright that's it for beatrice's airtime for the whole month!"

   --   beatrice cameo   because of her rare appearance in the earlier pre-debut videos, some people had compiled the times she made a cameo in the background on youtube

   --  studio time  after much request for her own solo camera/vlive, the staff encourages her to just do anything she wants but have a camera on with her. because of her always nestling in the recording studio, her own segment is called "studio time". however she's never alone during this segment, there's always someone who has to ask her questions for her to talk. usually these are the other producers working on a song with her or the other members just wanting to hang out (or being told by the staff to help her)

   --   love pd-nim  at some point it was revealed that her producer name is lvrvl. whenever the studio time segment comes on, the members and/or viewers call her love pd-nim

   --   a burning question  "love pd-nim, you're famous for your love songs but we're curious, have you ever been in love" beatrice, obviously unamused with the question "none of your business" (the answer is no btw)

over the time, she would just say that she's inspired by the love stories surrounding her

   --   legendary moment  there was some point in one of their pre-debut video where the camera was on hana/another trainee, and beatrice was messing with the speaker just behind her. when hana/another trainee is talking to the camera, you can hear a very faint "ing ..." coming from beatrice, seemingly pissed off at the speaker not working and no one seemed to realise what just happened, not even the editors because it ended up in the video. you know who realised it? the viewers. once it was pointed out, that portion of the video is deleted before released again. luckily everybody just found it hilarious and is very on brand with beatrice

   --   SLJK producer line  as her original dream occupation is to be a producer and has experience in it, she's seen as the de-facto leader of the producer line. famously, she works for all of the SLJK groups

   --   sweetz/sourz?  nobody knows where she belongs, it seems very vague. because she's definitely not dance-centric like sweetz and she's very rnb unlike sourz that just screams electronic dance. a lot of people have come to the conclusion that she's just sns

LITTLE BROTHER luca massimo belladonna 여진인 yeo jin-in // gem of the family, heir of the belladonna industries and her own little brother, set with a secure future that was supposed to be hers. luca doesn't hate her, but she does not make any attempt to be close to him because his mere existence reminds her of everything that she supposed to be. luca on the other hand, absolutely adores his bigger sister and he supports her all the way. he tries his best to help mend the relationship between her and their father, even though his father is now solely focused in raising him and beatrice is still spiteful towards their father. there is nothing that luca wouldn't do for her, even though she doesn't need him. and even if luca keeps trying to reach out, she still finds it really hard to open up the walls around her heart

FAMILY FRIEND signe annaliese hansen-young // the belladonna industries and the hansen corporation has been good partners for a long time as the hansen-youngs has been a very close family friend to the belladonnas. signe and beatrice is the same age & they always hang out with each other whenever their family visits each other. they act like siblings more than beatrice is to luca and signe is able to listen well to her. they accept each other's presence and talks about really random things, beatrice shows a lot of her songs to signe and the only reason as to why she did that is because signe can give a reasonable but honest feedback. luca frequently get jealous over their relationship and slightly dislike signe over the fact that beatrice acts as if she considers signe more as her sibling

jeon jisoo: beatrice's mentor at the second half of her general training days, probably the only person in the company who could stand her and she can stand him but only because he's a good source of knowledge, rarely seen angry when with him, they haven't passed threshold beyond mentor-student yet they don't seem to mind, very brooding x sunshine dynamics

im kijeong: kijeong didn't personally mentor her but works together a lot once she got into SLJK, doesn't like her attitude at all, beatrice doesn't like anyone (or so she says), could maybe start bickering if jisoo wasn't there to keep watch on them, kijeong is the father of brooding emo squad
 

STAFFS 
madame kang: many was still traumatised by what happened in beatrice's audition, the tension is still very apparent between them, madame kang knows beatrice has immense ego and knows how to toy it around to her advantage, just once beatrice wants to make a snarky comment back at her but she has successfully bite her tongue...so far, please don't get anywhere near them when they start to argue unless you're positive you can dissipate the situation

takashi sato: wasn't there when the audition happened and for some reason still doesn't know what happened, rarely interacts with him during SLJK cause he handles the japanese trainees, she thinks he's chill at the moment but who knows what will happen when the japanese promotions starts

heechul: lives to rile up beatrice because it's funny to see her reaction, but he doesn't have any bad intentions, always teasing her on how she never had a relationship but she kept writing love songs, "ooo~ i wonder who is this for~ do you finally have someone in your life bea?", might kill this man one day

hyoyeon: doesn't know how many times she got scolded by her whenever dance evaluations come, doesn't know how many times she was told to stay behind for hyoyeon's lessons either, hyoyeon really cracked her whip when madame kang told her to "shape her up", beatrice can't catch a break but then again, who catches a break in sljk?
 

MOMO'S CHILDREN 
liam kim: #broodingemosquad, lots of people say that beatrice is the more snarky & y version of liam, liam thought it was rude to call her that but then realised that they're right, could only really get along when they have the same creative direction, but beatrice is a outside of workplace so he generally avoids her, man all hell breaks loose when they both are working together and they disagree about something, and beatrice is definitely the one who started it

cameron lee: whenever beatrice makes a snarky comment, you can trust cam to always be there to be her polar opposite. have learned the hard way that they don't mix well when it comes to producing, so best believe he'll be good to her outside of producing stuffs. well that is until beatrice is asked to help with tarot or cam is asked to help with sns, they won't argue but they're both prideful and stubborn, so literally nothing will get done with them

hana and kazu: not even beatrice knows that she has a soft spot for them (i mean tbh who doesn't), but please don't ever ask her to babysit them, kinda lowers her level whenever they're around, always answers their weird sudden questions with "don't know and don't care", beatrice goes to hana for dance lessons whenever she's in a pitch but don't tell anyone thanks

keiko: no. too much for beatrice, overly extroverted people gives beatrice headaches,  please get her away
