🍇 started with capoeira as a part of extracurricular activity in elementary school
🍇 became interested in kpop and dance when her senior in her capoeira class ask her for a favor to participate in a cover dance video, but only became a casual listener
🍇 eventually mona joined the cover dance group permanently that mainly focuses on boygroup dances
🍇 decided to take dance lessons on her own accord, learning hiphop and modern dance
🍇 moved to hanlim multi arts high school where she continues to pursue dance
🍇 her and wooyoung was from the same neighborhood and she lived just a block away from him, sometimes they would play together with a bunch of other kids but went to different schools. it wasn't until highschool that they reunited and became best friends
🍇 the time she auditioned is along the same time she really got into kpop and when wooyoung left bighit. mona encouraged him to audition again in another company and joined him (both as moral support and because she's curious), they both got in to kq
🍇 mona was already good at her dancing but lack that extra oomph to really shine through all the trainees, that's why the company decided to send her to the states
🍇 in the states, the mentor said that she's already doing great at following along the choreography, but she needs more training in creating her personal style. with that she is privately mentored to find her style of dancing through making choreographies
🍇 her style of dancing is widely influenced by aliya janell, yanis marshall, hal hirata & ysabelle capitulé - focusing a more y feminine style of dance that involves heels
🍇 mona's main thing on-camera and off-camera is her likeness towards duality. despite having her choreography style being more hyper-ual and hyper-feminine, she still enjoys and excels other styles that is not in line with her main one, especially the masculine "boygroup" style. since before she discovered her style, she was a boygroup cover dancer
🍇 she once peeped at ateez practicing one of their songs and she's able to dance to it perfectly the next day
🍇 mona: "boys~ watch this!" starts doing hala hala's dance break perfectly
wooyung: "wtf??? we literally just finished learning that yesterday???"

mona: "then follow with a-" starts to drop to the floor, splits and does other complicated y moves

when san befriended wooyoung, mona automatically became his friend too because wooyoung and mona are one package. thus creating the (woosanmo? woosanna?) or 99z's three musketeers. san started to develop more feelings towards mona but was wary of pursuing further because of how close wooyoung and mona is. basically, he doesn't want to betray his bro and would prefer to not pursue mona romantically if it's going to ruin their friendship. many misunderstandings and assumptions later, wooyoung found out about how san feels. apparently wooyoung used to have feelings for mona but it faded away as both of them got busy with their own training. on the occasion that they have the time to be together, wooyoung can only see her as a friend (and maybe someone's bub caught wooyoung's eyes?). after getting the green light, san starts to pursue romantically and then....
