one of the first things you notice about daisuke is, unfortunately, his height. he's rather on the short side, but his charisma surely makes up for it. another thing to take notice about daisuke is his warm smile, eyes going into little cresents.
he has broad shoulders and a narrow waist, which is usually hidden by his unique taste in fashion. his skin is a nice tan and his body lean with muscles that he gained from his swim team back in high school.
his hair, naturally black, has been bleached and dyed silver for as long as he can remember as it's his signature style, but he's open for other colors for future promotions.
daisuke's ears a certainly pierced, matching his fashion style (ref. nct's ten). he also has an eyebrow piercing that he can take out depending on a1's promotions. he only has one tattoo of a diamond that's on his right hip.

daisuke's fashion sense can be described with one word: punk. colors that mainly make up his closet are black, and sometimes really, really dark gray. he has a collection of ripped skinny jeans, choker collars, baggy band shirts, worn out converses, studded chain belts, you name it! he most likely has it in his closet.

if there's one thing people know about daisuke it's that he known to be quite the perfectionist and it usually has to do with himself. even with his great skills and overall great attitude, he always thinks he needs to improve and work on something. he never calls himself perfect and will proceed to work himself until it's close to perfection. even with that, daisuke is, well, quite clumsy. clumsy with his hands, actions, and words. once in a while, he will find himself mixing his words or actions, tending to come out awkward. his clumsiness tends to just blend in with just him just being quirky. speaking about awkward, daisuke certainly is awkward. maybe it has to do with him use to being by himself and not with sudden popularity, he just...doesn't know how to compute it very well. someone talking to him suddenly when they usually don't talk will have him freezing up and just staring with a blank look on his face. sometimes, when one catches him off guard, he may says things wrong or in the wrong context and then it just ends up being akward all together. despite that, daisuke can be quite gullible, especially with any of the young members of the group. something sweet and innocent sounding he believes without much more reasoning or one asking him to do their chores cause their foot hurts when in reality it really doesn't.
BACKGROUND
daisuke grew up with eccentric parents that were freelancing artists. they took on jobs all over the world, never settling in one place for too long. so it wasn't a surprise when daisuke turned five, his parents got a job opportunity in australia and there went his family.
learning english was hard, especially since he was so used to japanese, if only for a bit. kids looked at him weird, especially when he tried his hardest to speak their language, but only a garbled mix of japanese and heavily accent english bits. he was fairly quiet due to the kids staying away from the 'weird kid', but it didn't bother daisuke that much as he used the time to study up on english and hoping that one day he could be understood.
the family only stayed in australia for two years before they found themselves moving once again, this time to america. they settled in las vegas and daisuke learned a lot of new things. he was another 'weird' kid here as well, but he just continued to keep to himself. he soon found out about dancing and daisuke thought it would be fun to learn. though he kept this new interest to himself, not wanting to bother his parents just in case they ended up having to move again. he began to look into different dancing styles, looking up videos and trying to copy what he saw in the videos. it was a long process, but daisuke thought he was getting somewhere with his own studying and practicing.
he continued with his own little hobby for some years until his parents got another job call; this time to south korea. so the family were on their way to seoul, south korea. daisuke soon had to learn another language, though it helped that his parents did enroll him into a international school. despite him going through heavy studying sessions to learn korean, daisuke was quite popular among the students despite his awkwardness. he especially grew in popularity when everyone found out he could dance.
with his new group of friends, one friend introduced daisuke to south korea's underground rap scene as he was an aspiring rapper. daisuke grew very interested and his friend thought that was really cool since some of his other friends really didn't care for his rapping hobby. his friend decided to help daisuke with his korean and, at the same time, teach him the works of rapping. it was quite a surprise when daisuke caught onto rapping very quickly, much like he did with dancing. they became quite a duo themselves, only gathering a small fanbase on the streets of rapping underground.
after graduation and in his own freetime, daisuke opened up a youtube account where he began to post dance covers and choreo videos. some people recognized him as the underground rapper dia from the rookie duo 'rook' with fellow rapper killz and were quite blown away with his dancing talent. to daisuke's surprise it didn't take long for his youtube to blow up a bit due to his y and sensual way of dancing. due to his sudden popularity on his youtube, it also didn't take long for other people to notice him.
on his way to filming a public dance practice, he was noticed by a man in a nice suit. he was approached by the man and even though a part of him was wary of this stranger, he let the man speak. he was given a company card, fantagio it said, and the guy invited him to a private audition. despite being skeptical of the man's proposal, he nodded and said sure. daisuke had never really thought about being an idol before, he just liked dancing and rapping on the side.
daisuke when to the private audition, thinking that the experience would just be something to look back on. he auditioned with a choreo piece he thought of himself, and rapped a bit. he was a bit rough around the edges, mostly due to the fact that all his talents were cultivated by himself with no professional help. the judges were very intrigued with that tidbit. daisuke went into the audition thinking he wouldn't be accepted, but was especially surprised when he got a callback, saying that he was accepted.

TRAINING LIFE
being an official trainee was weird at first. since daisuke had grew up cultivating his own talents, we was unused to listening to actual trainers and instructors. his first year at fantagio was a bit rough, but daisuke grew use to the professional training and developed more into his dancing style and found that he was actually a good singer as well.
it really wasn't a surprise that daisuke was squeezed into the small trainee group that fantagio put together. his all-rounder talent meant he could help fellow trainees practice their weaknesses.
things were looking up for daisuke. there was talks of their trainee group possibly debuting, but then something else came up. another produce season for males and fantagio was gearing up to send trainees to the survival show once more. daisuke was immediately thought of and daisuke actually took up the offer. if he was a contestant, he could get more exposure for the future group.
with his mind made up, he entered the produce world and took netizens by storm.
he made a lot of people turn heads, especially with his japanese name and fluent korean. he further surprised everyone with his audition song that had the judges instantly think 'a'.
daisuke definitely left his mark on produce x 101 and despite being one of the most popular trainees on the show, he was sadly eliminated before the finale, but daisuke didn't let that get to him. he went on the show to get exposure and that's what he got.
