* scratch the surface - nari is always seen with a smile wherever she goes regardless of what kind of situation she's in. she's easy to approach due to the fact she's always smiling. typically a happy and cheery person and is very easy going. you'd have to try to not get along with her. nari is a soft hearted person and is highly empathetic towards others. se's willing to extend a hand to those in need. she's a rather reserved and quiet person, and doesn't really show much of her emotions on her face. a lot of people tend to think she's really happy because she's smiling, but that probably means you haven't been with her long enough to differentiate her smiles. nari tends to hide all her emotions with a smile. she's a smart person and is able to think quickly on her feet. she's the type of person who works well under pressure and can come up with solutions on the fly. nari tries to be kind, but she won't hesitate to chew anyone out. kindly.

* the ice cracks - nari is surprisingly more fiesty than one would expect. but in a subtle way. her calm and friendly demeanor always misleads people. her friends like to tell her that her first impressions were a huge trap. they thought they were getting to know a sweet girl, only for her to turn out to endlessly take polite shots at them. nari says she does no such thing, but she secretly enjoys the reactions she gets. somewhat evil in that sense. nari is a realistic person and won't delude herself into thinking too optimistically or negatively. she's very keen and is quick on the uptake. nari reads the room very quickly and acts as she sees fit.

"yoongi, you know people only listen to you talk about furniture because you're handsome, right?" *yoongi, shellshocked because he genuinely thought they were interested* "oh dear, don't tell me you didn't know..."

* the ice breaks - once you really get to know her, she's really not all too different, however she does begin to feel more human once you start talking to her more. it's less of her knowing smiles, and more of her knowing smiles and teasing for her own enjoyment. she is a nitpicky person and surprisingly strict, so if you want to help her, prepare to be worked to the bone. but don't worry, it'll feel so much better when she gives you words of encouragement and a small reward. but now you've gotten yourself into an unwritten slave contract (nari has noted that this only works on three kinds of people. men, genuinely helpful people and slow people). she tends to be pretty inflexibile with trivial things and will only bend if absolutely necessary. she's not as flawless and cheery people make her out to be, but they do in fact enjoy seeing the sadistic sweetie persona break a little after spending more time with her.

- grew up pretty well off, since her parents were pretty successful with their farms, and the small pharmacy they owned. they inherited the farm and pharmacy from their grandparents who also lived with them.

- there's not much to say about her, her background is a little bit bland in her opinion.

- growing up, she and yoongi often helped her parents on the farm, and when they were old enough, they started helping around in the pharmacy.

- thanks to that, both of them have small knowledge about pharmacy.

- she spent a lot of her time with yoongi and grandparents tbh. she'd hang out with his friends and they went to school together, played together and basically developed the same interests. and if she wasn't with yoongi, she was with her grandparents knitting or coloring.

- nari has a love for flowers and nature simply because she gew up on a farm. she helped her parents a lot on the farm, because she thought it was so cool that the ground that was once bare, is now full of... whatever the heck they just planted.

- she was a cheerful child, who was known to smile a lot and was often complimented by strangers about how nice her smile was. it didn't help that her family always complimented her as well and tried to do something that would make her smile.

having a hard time finding forgiveness in her heart for him after yoongi agreed to let jungkook abduct her and then proceed to collab with said abductor and open up a store on the island per his request. other than that they have a good relationship and have a lot of things in common. they're both lazy and are sometimes so scarily in sync with each other that their siblinghood is almost undeniable. the siblings share a lot of the same hobbies and habits, some can't help but to think that they're just clones of each other. they know each other so well that it makes it impossible to hide anything from each other. naturally, they know all of each other's secrets. the two hardly ever fight, but when they do it's a serious issue that everyone around them is too scared to get involved. yoongi and nari share a bond that even they acknowledge as a once in a lifetime occurence. if yoongi hates you, there's no chance of you being friends with nari and vice versa. the only difference that anyone can spot between these two is that one is always smiling, and the other is always frowning.

"stop it, i did not kidnap you... i just took you away while you were sleeping. with yoongi's permission."
"jungkook." nari smiles threateningly. "take me home."

jungkook smiles charmingly, nodding. cool, cool! so how did you find out about our island?

"jungkook, you kidnapped me, don't you remember? ^^ that's how i found out." the girl laughs, annoyed. "please, stop interviewing me and fly me home this instant. unlike you, i have things to attend to."
jungkook clears his throat nervously. "i, uh, actually took care of everything for you. so... you technically don't have to go back..."

jungkook continues the interview without an ounce of fear. i see! is there a particular reason you've decided to get away from society? jungkook smiles, clearly having no intentions of letting her go home.

nari sighs, beginning to accept her fate as jungkook's dog, or as he calls it, his island rep. perhaps this isn't so bad, she contemplates. i can just make him do my work for me. nari smiles schemingly. "jungkook, you kidnapped me against my will and forcibly removed me from society. does this not ring a bell?" nari smiles a smile full of annoyance.
jungkook mumbles, "i did this for you, you know..."

jungkook quietly sighs, second guessing his methods but doesn't let it show. he proceeds with the interview as planned with a warm smile. do you think you're prepared for surviving in the absolute wilderness until we can get you fully settled? we'll have houses, don't worry! just... not immediately.

nari quietly sighs. "well, i suppose if we have tents and clean water, it'll be okay. we've gone camping before together, so it shouldn't be too horrible. i assume you have all the necessities?"
jungkook smiles, thinking she might be warming up to the idea, albeit slowly. "yeah! i told you, you don't have to worry about a thing!"

jungkook smiles at her warmly, suddenly feeling confident about taking her here against her will. so, what are you expecting while living here?

"well, a house for one. people, food. the necessities... smores. boba?" nari smiles, anticipating an answer. "desserts?"

jungkook laughs, not knowing how he didn't expect that to be her list of needs. "yes, yes anything you want."

"ah, entertainment of any kind too. electricity is a must." nari begins listing off things that she'll possibly need as jungkook took mental notes of them.

understandable! finally, what are you expecting of me, my island rep?

"for you to help me. and not work me to the bone." nari smiles, but there was a hint of warning in her eyes.

jungkook feeling a little guilty, nods his head in understanding. "of course. anything for you." he smiles and reaches out to pat her head reassuringly.

"you must," nari warns.

kay, now get pretty! it's for your passport. jungkook grins and begins setting up his camera. 3... 2... 1... no, not like that. tilt your head up? fix your hair! oh, your makeup is a bit smudged... here's a mirror.

nari begins to readjust herself and touching up her makeup where needed.
"ready?" nari nods. "okay, now just like i directed you... 3, 2, 1... cheese...! wow, you look so pretty!" jungkook compliments with a sparkle in his eye.
nari just smiles shyly. "... you're teasing me."

alright! jungkook huffs, comfortably putting his arm around nari's shoulder. we got a lot of work to do!

nari grins, "i suppose we do... i still won't forgive you for kidnapping me, however."
jungkook pouts, "i did no such thing!"
"i suppose you will keep denying it. keep this up and you may end up giving me stockholm syndrome." nari jokes, walking away from the blonde haired boy as he runs after her to catch up.

- he doesn't really show his more hyper/impulsive side to people he doesn't feel comfortable around

- if there's one thing jungkook and nari share, it's that their first impressions are very different from who they are

- big golden retriever energy

- this chaotic, schemer of a man just so happens to be rich and handsome. jungkook is a very impulsive person and will not stop at anything to achieve what he wants. it doesn't help that he gets a thousand ideas a minute and then wants to execute every single one of them. he happens to be a very creative person and doesn't tend to think things through (shout out to nari for grounding him). he's a natural born leader who is so confident in himself that it borders on arrogance. despite being an introvert, he has lots of energy to spare just going around and messing with .

- enough with his golden retriever side, though. jungkook is a very empathetic person, and is a great listener if you give him the chance to be. it's the only reason nari's stuck around for so long. he's always thinking of others first and how he can help them. he's very thoughtful and remembers the tiniest details that one wouldn't expect him to remember.

- unfortunately, jungkook tends to do things his way, which can result in very thoughful actions that aren't totally necessary. like, buying an island for your best friend because she got laid off of her dream job and then kidnapping her. he means well, but not in the way that everyone needs. he tends to get hurt easily if you say something the wrong way, or if you just "feel" hostile to him. jungkook is a very sensitive person and tends to feel his emotions more than an average person would.
