long story short, there is a chinese webnovel that i REALLY love and i reread it again yesterday and i told my friend and she was like oh i want to read it too! so i found her an english translation but when i skimmed it i realized that the translation's in wack. don't flow and it's like, an okay translation if you didn't speak chinese/know the OG text, but it just seemed weird to me and it doesn't capture the essence of the OG text at all.

so i was super mad about that but when i checked the translator's page it turns out they're not even ing chinese. they're KOREAN. they translated the chinese by putting it through a translating software.

i'm LIVID. and ppl are like 'omg i love the translation quality' HONEY YOU AIN'T SEE TRUE TRANSLATION QUALITY--

so the point is, if i translate this novel and put it up on a weebly site or smth, would yall help me spread it around? my goal is not necessarily to 'defeat' the other translator, but i would very much like to show the non-chinese-speaking BL community what real translation quality is like.

also because i'm petty and i am adamant that translations should both capture the essence of the OG text AND flow in the second language, neither of which this translation did. AND also because i'm adamant that one can only translate smth if one is fluent in both languages so they know how to best translate it and NOT in fact rely on a machine to do it for them>:((((
