when asked two things to remind you about yare, most people would say library and book. people sees her that she's a girl who only care for her grade and that... isn't 100% wrong. seventy percent of her mind is full at how she could maintain her perfect gpa 'till the end. thus she realized there are too much things in this world which she doesn't know, therefore, she needs to learn them. moreover when its related to her major. so most of her time are used in library and 'making out' with books rather than talk with real human. on exam week, you'll barely see her as she would lock herself up in her room and drown herself with books. but upon this, she has wide range of knowledge. add another fact that she puts attention to detail which makes her more attuned to her surroundings. she's the best place to go when you have a problem. just... be patience on her haughty attitude. deep down she's actually considerate of others thought. if she notices that a classmate comes into the class with mismatched shoes, for instance, she might deduce from this detail that the person left the house in a rush and maybe isn't having the best morning, so it might not be the most convenient moment to bring up that looming project deadline.

steven was faking his sickness in front of mr and mrs. joo. yare asked what's going on, and when her mother told her that steven is sick, she didn't believe it because she knew what steven is capable of. steven then pretended to have blurry vision when she talked, and then she got frustrated when her mother told her to get to school. she thought it was unfair that steven got to stay home while she had to go to school. steven then told her to not be upset with him, but she left.
that thing happened for her whole life. having a twin is , moreover when you have steven yeonseung joo as your twin brother.
living in a normal family. everything was super normal for her. she is no rich but no poor as well. both of her parents are nyu's professors. she got to have fancy food but still, she couldn't just throw away some money because there are times when she needs them and her parents won't just give them away.

University Life. though yare's classes don't start until 11, she always wakes up at 7 for her morning workout routine in campus' gym or simply had a walk around neighborhood. still, health is her number one priority. it'd be troublesome if she has to skip class if she gets sick she think. after an hour, she'll back to the flat she rent near ucla and go for a quick wash-up, have breakfast, then drives to ucla for her classes. during her free time, she'd either goes back to to her flat to take a much needed nap before work during night on her final research or heads to the library to look for her research's material.
when the night comes, after finishing her dinner, she will continue working on her research as she really wants to get on track and graduate this spring. after that, she'll read some articles and be prepare for tomorrow's class.
weekend is her time for her friends and brother to tag her wherever they want. she won't complaint though. as much as an ambitious she is, still, she thinks she need to rest herself for a couple days before working her off when another week start again. shopping, partying, roadtrip, you can take her anywhere you want in one condition. none is allowed to disturb her on sunday morning because it's church time. she attends the church not because she's a devoted christian though. it's her mom, who would always ask her to do video call to prove she still come to church every sunday though she's away from home. she'll tag steven along with her for this even if she has to bran into gpa's house and pulled his leg.

yare's unidentical twin brother. another gpa's famous member though he's not a member of brat pack. friendly and he could literally befriend with anyone in a blink of eyes. total opposite of yare but you can say he's as genius as her as well. though it's a rare view to see him studying, his gpa is outstanding. a protective brother who barely let anyone date his sister because he thinks his sister is just too good to any boy he ever know. drink, drugs, fights, he did them all. but is very soft when it comes to women. got his heart broken few times because his partner cheat on him. that's the reason made by yare to enjoy the trip. she needs to make sure steven won't fall for wrong chics again or post videos on his tiktok when he get too high. at first he simply just surprise taesong bring his sister as his plus one. he thought nothing happened between the two, taesong doesn't know much girls and probably his sister offer herself so she can babysit him during the formal (yes, he of course won't bring his sister as his plus one as he's currently in a shady relationship with a girl). but when he smells something fishy between the two, he might won't stay still. on his point of view, none in the frat is a 'nice' guy. his sister deserves better.

the hardest puzzle to solve of ucla. prior the formal retreat, she already heard his name through her friends. well, its like every girl in ucla's dream to get on his passenger seat for once at least. that's excluding yare. though she admires his genius brain, there's no slightest fantasy to be with that sociopath. as both of them isn't a good talker, you can see throughout the formal they might not get along quite well. not in a hostile way, of course. its just... they don't interact much with each other. but maybe she'll take a picture of him in secret just so she can show it off to her friends. but... what if anyone notice this weird habit of her and think she might one of jeff's fans?

she got to know him after meet him several times in a party which he dj-ing on it. as she love his music, she approached him once and praised him on that. they got closer after. sometimes they message and recommend some songs to each other. through the retreat, they even bonded really well that they have many chance to interact and other things to talk aside their love for edm music.

yare know him because the male often hang out with steven and making some weird videos for their tik-tok. they rarely talk but still know each other's existence. through the formal, though they still aren't close to become best friend, but at least they'd greet each other whenever they come across. for a judgmental like yare, its hard to forced herself to befriend with a juvenile no matter how nice he act towards her.

the two of them met during a sunday mass. later she find out that the male is another gpa member with impeccable grades. as a surprise, on their second meeting (again in sunday mass), yare approached him and complimented him on his grade (yes this girl always has her eyes on smart boys). they share mutual respect for each other's grades. maybe he's the only one who understand why she still bring so many books during the retreat.

though owen and his brother is quite close due to them go to the same major, she never particularly close with this boy. even if owen seems a hundred times better compared than gavin in term of their demanour and personality. seeing him being so melancholic, and realizing she has quite a bad temper, yare choose to not interact much with him, afraid she might something that would hurt him.

probably the only boy in brat pack (aside taesong) whom she can interact comfortably with. they took same classes before and he seems like the one with brain on his head among the other. when the other getting wild in the parties, most of the time she'd rather sitting on the bar tool, enjoying louis' mixed drink while chatting with him (when he's not too busy with his partner ofc).

yare and ashton were never really all that close, maybe politely exchanging pleasantries once in a while and nodding to each other whenever yare barge in to gpa's house and drag her brother along to the church. after the formal, she realized he's a fun person. somehow he can keep the conversation going though most of the times yare won't reply back much. so as you can guess, the two become friends after.

in a first glance, yare thinks of topher like a little kiddo pushed by his demonic brothers to hell. he seems innocent and cute at first. but more parties held, more she sees other side of this young man. it turns out her assessment is totally wrong.

Their Story.
it was started a year ago. when the two were having their morning walk. taeseong brought barkbark with him and... a drunk driver hit the poor boy. as a dog lover, of course, our girl couldn't just stand still on her place upon seeing the view. she rushed to taeseong side (not because she worried about him of course, all of her attention were for barkbark). both yare and taeseong then brought barkbark to the nearest vet. lucky enough, there was no serious injury. but still, they worried too much and for the rest of the day, both of them were busy taking care of barkbark. thanks for the cutest cupid ever, it was the start of their endless interaction.
though yare might gave off an arrogant vibe on her first meet with everyone, thanks to barkbark, that dark aura disappeared. ever since taeseong met her, he only saw her soft side. how she looks really worried about barkbark, and how patient she was when she took care of him. and for the first time as well, he could interact comfortably with a stranger. unlike with those tinder girls, when he could only show his awkward smile which they say adorable.
being well aware of taeseong's reputation as the famous brat pack's member, yare has put up even more of a guard to prevent herself from catching feelings. well yes, they're friends with one another. at least they always saying hi when they're passing by one another (which makes taeseong teased by his bros because... well it's the first time they see taeseong being not shy and extremely friendly with a girl). say goodbye to taeseong park who used to moping around the house reminiscing about his ex and later they found out he deleted tinder on his phone already. sometimes they'd even text each other, asking how their day has been (and followed by all the things about barkbark).
when they bumped into each other at clubs or parties, they'll give each other an awkward hug before making a decent distance and blend with their own circle. it's frustrating for both of them actually. yare know that she shouldn't make a move as she knows most of the girls on campus willing to rip each other off to get those brat pack boys as theirs. and yare whose known as the cold nerd probably too far compared to those barbie(s). she realized her place. there are no possibilities taeseong would ever lay his eyes on her.
on the other hand, our huge boy is actually clueless when it comes to love. all of his bros even have to give him 'how to approach girl: 101' lesson. yet it seems hard for him to applied those tips on yare. it has been a while since the last he approached a girl. not to mention, yare is different from most of the girls.
just when the formal retreat came, the boys suggested he bring yare as his plus one. they even made a bet about it. some bet taeseong wouldn't even have a dare to ask her, the others said she'd say yes.
so right a few weeks before the formal, there was a party and the two bumped into each other there. half sober, taeseong asked her. yare was blushing hard at the moment. her hopes got high a bit at that time, she thought maybe indeed taeseong has an interest in her. but again, her ego couldn't let her act like she wanted to. so she just nodded, said it was a good opportunity for her to look out for her twin. just like that, they go to the retreat together.

- though yare exterior makes people thing she is a strong woman who isn't afraid of anything, in fact she's a scaredy-cat when it comes to ghost and horror things. but her ego won't let her down her strong facade whenever taeseong asked her to watch scary movies. thus he enjoy horror with her. because that would be the only moment where she'd cling onto him unconsciously

- even if yare doesn't admit it, but she'd put some make up on whenever she goes with taeseong. this also applied during their trip to cancun. and steven would comment, "wait, you're wearing lipstick? hey, aren't you here just so you can look out for me?"
