after losing her brother, dahee felt that her life was empty, so she had a pessimistic look on life and wasn't interested in nearly anything. however, after invited to the mission and interacting with the others who was concerned of her well-being, she managed to feel better. after that, dahee usually considered 'being happy' as one of her purposes in life. she still did not completely get over the shock, however. she frequently dreams of the moment when her brother trapped in the explode.

but because of the accident as well, dahee began to mature mentally, as her desire to protect her friends overwhelms her trauma. gradually, he becomes one of the strongest mind of the group. she was able to talk with those out of their depression to fight with the team. even maybe, those who ridiculed dahee at first, started to respect her.

at the same time when she tries to deal with her pessimistic nature, she tries her best to open to change. to accept that tough she can read future, future is an uncertainty. It has many variables and possibilites which can caused it to change anytime. there she starts to build her will, emotional tolerance, mental fortitude, and spiritual guidance. to not only face uncertainty but smack it in the face and press on.

suffering comes in many different forms and, whether we like it or not, the world is full of it. while other people can turn a blind eye to it and act like it doesn’t exist, when she sees someone suffer, a fire ignites within her and gives her the determination to do something about it. her willingness to help can come in many different forms, but she will try to contribute to the easing of that person’s suffering in any way she can – no matter how big or small the gesture is.

dahee might be more likely to be considerate of others. if she notices that a teammate comes into the office with mismatched shoes, for instance, she might deduces from this detail that the person left the house in a rush and maybe isn’t having the best morning, so it might not be the most convenient moment to bring up that looming mission deadline. shortly said, she shows a very good understanding of people and situations. she never hesitates to pour all of her insights on a situations as well.

for dahee's case, though she's an insightful person, still, she has an affective feeling towards a person based on their perceived group membership. usually unfavourable, evaluation of another person beliefs and values. also she's a hoarder. she still has her baby clothes on her first day of johak academy, she can’t bring herself to part with the sequined monstrosity she wore to highschool prom. that's because she thinks all of them are her. things that describe who she is. step into her room and you'll see a total chaos.

dahee tends to “absorb” other people’s emotions, almost like an empath would. it’s not unusual for dahee to walk into a room and immediately sense the moods of the people in it. that’s because dahee is very aware of subtleties — including facial expressions, body language, and tone of voice — that others may miss. it’s no wonder dahee feels emotions that are not her own. as a result, dahee tends to suffer from frequent emotional exhaustion.

and you might get upset over her as she often shows inattentive behavior when someone is explaining something. also she's very forgetful that it's also often for her to forgetting what you're told her before. in fact, she's easily distracted with her own mind. thus she often neglect her surrounding.

BACKGROUND » for an unknown reason, she couldn't remember anything from her past. her memories began on her life as a five years old kid. when both her and dawon abandoned by their parents and were adopted at iris garden, an orphanage in sejong. she couldn't even remember who and how her parents look like. for an unknown reason also, dawon who 2 years older than her always refused to answer whenever she asked.
you can say her life in iris garden wasn't quite good. for her ability to see the future, many kids refer her as a weirdo. thus, she bullied by most of the children there. good thing she had dawon, jinyoung, and hyuk who always stand up for her. but aside from them, she thought of the others as monsters.
when she was seven, someone took her and her brother to johak. for dahee, that's the start of her life. there, she didn't have to hide her ability. on the contrary, she got to learn and enhance her power. as time goes by, not only read some random future, she was able to control it. she could choose which future and the exact situation she wanted to see. good news for her, that she was no more thinking of her ability as a curse. when she was a child, most of the future she saw was the death of someone. now, not only death, she could help her team to predict their action. dahee was no longer thinking of herself as a burden for people around, instead, she could give something to help them.
she thought she finally found a place she could call home. a place where she belongs. a place where both she and her brother could live happily ever after. but soon after she got some missions, she realized, there was no single day she lived without fear, without being thrilled, without being hunted by fear losing her brother since he was a field operative. every time her brother assigned to a mission, she'd try her best to see every possibility. good thing, she never has seen any scene that leads to dawon's death.
not until the beginning of this year. well, that was the first mission where she got to work together with dawon. per usual, she read every possibility carefully even more because she didn't want her brother to get hurt. as a surprise, when the team back to the headquarter, her brother was nowhere to be seen. they said there was an explosion on site. they managed to rescue the victims, but they couldn't find her brother's body. just like that, johak closed the case, assuming dawon's death.
as if it was the end of her world. dawon was everything for her, the only thing she has. she asked for a resign immediately. but none of the higher-ups granted her wish. they believed, she was much more capable than what she is that day. they wanted to push her even more, they still need her ability. that way, they gave her some time to take a break.
during that time, she managed to develop her ability more since she was really determined to looking for dawon in the future. but days changed to months. still, she couldn't find dawon in every future she saw. she thought it was the end. again, she sent her resignation letter. but instead an answer, she got an invitation to another mission.

dahee and eunyoung used to be a roommate on their highschool days. suprisingly, they have something in common which is, an orpahan. they always shared their thoughts about being an orphan. they also close enough to share their problems and worries. eunyoung is the one who does something stupid all the times due to her carefree nature. for example, she asked dahee to go to the club with her though they were not illegal yet at that time. she'll help dahee with make up so that they would look older and paid someone to make fake id card for them. and because she always crave for freedom, she chose to have a normal life once she graduated. even until now, they still keep in touch. eunyoung is the one who dragged dahee out of her misery.

- when she was a child, she simply can 'see' the future. throughout her journey in johak, she can perceive the information of any situation and use the variables of that information to predict the paths that lead to certain outcomes will occur, based on what choices are made. she can then accelerate herself along the path of her desire, which causes her to reach the conclusion of the path taken. that's why she was empowered as one of johak's strategist. later, on this mission with her grief as well as determined to find out more about her brother's death, she develop more of her power. she will able to gain knowledge of the future by actually traveling to the future in her astral form. dahee appears to be corporeal and can interact with the people there, even she's also be able to affect the world in general while there.

- because she only can see the situation, not a person's thought/emotions, dahee can misunderstood of someone's true intentions. her power also requires her to be in unconscious state to see the future, moreover, for her developed power, she needs to be in 'asleep' state to travell in her astral form. it might be a bit troublesome when there's a sudden attack while she's still in her unconscious state. also the nearest futures or most important future events are the most vivid. she has limitations by a year of future she can see.

- she's weak for long-range and firearms. she can't use any long-range combat such as bow or gun.

admission » ever since the jung sibling get into iris garden, all the adults there knew there are something off with those childs. dawon's superpower, mainly attract their attention. even though he was still very young, he already show some great skills in moving objects. dahee follows behind when she sometimes would tell some stories to her keeper and in the next day, the thing said by her would happen for real. iris garden's head master then tell his friends about this strange kids. little did he know, one of johak's agent hear that. days after that, the agent came to iris garden. he saw with his own eyes how dawon moving his toys easily while little dahee tell him about the mission he'd do next week. not to mention, he also saw the 'mark' on their skin. not long after that, he adopted the siblings. rather than bring them home, he introduced them to johak academy.

throughout college, she learned management. she chose that major because eunyeong suggested her. she said she might be an asset for johak someday as their strategist. and to become a great strategist or a planner, she better learn something about how to manage an organizations and people who'd execute her strategy. aside from her major, she also learn some of basic self-defense.

after graduated, she work behind the scene as the strategist. she gathered all the information from all agents like profiler, hackers, field workers, every information regarding the case. she'll learn them all, process, and try to see every possibilites of their action. in the end, though she never be the one who work in field, she'll direct them on where to go, what to do, and who's being the person in charge.

as an operative trainee, she had been working on a case where one of johak's higher-ups was setted up while he tries to accomplish a mission in north korea. for the first time, she demanded to analyze all the data, read several possibilities in the future, and even locate the man. as a newbie, she took too much time than needed. she was too scared she'll do mistake than can hurt anyone. in the end, the rescue mission almost failed. almost all the agent sent there died. she learn from this case, that she need to think faster, and make a plan sooner because time is everything.

in 2019, she worked for a human trafficking case. there she met jung sien. this time, she was no longer companied by her coach nor trainer. she need to made every strategy and plan by her own. it's a bit difficult when she has no back up. every agent has their own's interest. as a strategist, she accommodate them into a grand master strategy.

at the beginning of this year, for the first time she was chosen to work in a same mission with her brother. a terrorist group led by an evil mastermind threatens south korea. to make it worse, the president's daughter was kidnapped and hidden away. with her superpower, she managed to find the location as well as made a plan to attack the terrorist. too bad, she passed a minor detail. something which lead to her brother's death when he tried to save the president's daughter. this incident traumatize her. she took a break from johak, even considered maybe it's her time to stop and live her life as a normal.

7th march was when she got a letter. she didn't care, of course. still, finding her brother is her main priority. you can say she's no longer care with anything happen in this world. she lost her interest in anything. next day, she got another letter. there written the missing of children and injured agents might somehow related to her brother's death. she was thrilled to read that. the agents were missing for a while before found injured. same thing happened with her brother. he was missing before claimed dead in an explosion. weird thing because the president's daughter he supposed to save was find alive, not injured at all. so... yeah, in hope she can find out more about her brother, she accept the mission.

the reason why johak call her? well, there are not many precognition ens out there. not to mention, being in johak for a long time added her value. she know how to work with them. and with similar case of those injured agent with her brother's case, they might get 'more' of her. they believe her hiatus time was used to enhance her power.

hyuk is a somewhat child-like but also gentle man. despite the fact that hyuk himself suffers from accute anemia and frequently passes out, he is deeply concerned about dahee's pessimistic look on life and always try to be cheerful around her to make her feel better. it's not a hard thing to do though. hyuk is indeed a spontaneous person. he is charming and full of energy and real person of action. he keep a clear head and the overview even in difficult situations.

he also tries to get on good terms with other people around dahee. however, seeing dahee get close to other men, hyuk began to show signs of jealousy and desperately tried to close the distance between him and dahee.

hyuk set himself up for success by listening respectfully to people before offering an opinion, trying an idea, or getting involved in something. it’s a gesture of humility that helps him apply his capability and confidence. gathering information before acting also helps him choose the best possible course. it opens doors to opportunity and helps ensure that he's welcome when he step forward.

but as the result, he hates admitting he is wrong. this is the worst of him. being wrong is unacceptable. even when the proof is staring him in the face, he cannot help but try to find excuses for his behavior. he hates admitting that he is wrong so strongly that he is willing to make bold claims.

 

story » dahee and hyuk have been childhood friends ever since they met at an orphanage. when other child afraid of her ability, hyuk stay beside her. aside dawon, he's the one whom she can depend on. he'll fight any kid who says bad thing about dahee. too bad, after she brought to johak, they lost communication to each other.

the day when dahee lost dawon was the start of their reunion. jinyoung came to dawon's funeral (well it's only a ceremony without burried body because johak said they can't find his body) and tag hyuk along with her. just like jinyoung, hyuk always tried his best to comfort her. he came to her apart every single day just to make sure she's okay. well, maybe dahee couldn't react to his kind intention nicely. she was drown in her grieve. even so, hyuk never tired and spent a lot of time trying to make dahee better.. he kept remind her that she need to continue her life because dawon wouldn't be happy to know the fact his dear sister living her life as a zombie after his death. hyuk also, the one who convince her to take johak's invitation. after all, he knew what's dahee capable of. it's a big loss to waste her ability.

though after dahee joined the team they couldn't communicate as often as before, hyuk tried his best to maintain his relationship with her. yup, he realized he might gradually fell in love with her.
