she has been through a lot. believe me. she first debuted as a member of under DSP in Japan during 2012 and the group later disbanded in January 2014. Following the disbandment, minjoo stayed with the label and appeared as a contestant in the 2014 kara's reality show for searching a new member, kara project. She also appeared in the reality show produce 101 and later in the mockumentary series the god of music 2 which she became a member of project group c.i.v.a and also joined the fan-made group of produce 101, i.b.i. both respectively in 2016. minjoo later was added as a member of the DSP girl group april in 2017. yet even so, she wasn't the most notable member of the group. when most of produce 101 alumny become the face of the group or the most famous one, she drown in lee naeun's fame. she loves her. she's like her own sister. even so, she couldn't help but feel jealous of her sudden fame through a-teen and extraordinary you. she isn't a type who'll bring people down though. it's just... hard for her to accept the fact she's just like her shadow in the group.

IT STARTED A YEAR AGO WHEN HONGSEOK AND APRIL'S LEE NAEUN DATED EACH OTHER. AS A NICE BOYFRIEND HE IS, HE TRIES HIS BEST TO MINGLE WELL WITH NAEUN'S FRIENDS AND GROUPMATES. SIMPLY SAID, THEY HANG OUT TOGETHER A LOT. HONGSEOK SOMETIMES WOULD TAG HIS PENTAGON BROTHER WITH HIM AS WELL. YES, SURPRISE, APRIL AND PENTAGON (IN THIS UNIVERSE LMAO) HAVE A GOOD RELATIONSHIP WITH EACH OTHER THANKS TO HONGSEOK AND NAEUN.
MINJOO WON'T lie. EVER SINCE SHE FIRST SAW THE OLDER ONE, SHE GOT STARSTRUCK BY HOW HANDSOME AND WELL-BUILT HE IS. HE'S JUST PERFECT IN HER EYES. HER JEALOUSY TOWARDS NAEUN GETTING WORSE. NOT ONLY SHE STOLE HER SPOTLIGHT, NOW SHE HAS A PERFECT BOYFRIEND ON HER SIDE AS WELL.

JUST NOT LONG AGO, BOTH OF THE GROUP WENT TO A CLUB TOGETHER. EVERYONE WAS DRUNK. MINJOO SAT IN THE CORNER WITH HONGSEOK WHO SEEMED ENJOYED THE VIEW OF NAEUN WHO WAS DANCING ON THE DANCE FLOOR HAPPILY. BUT OUT OF THE BLUE, HE SAID, "IF GALANTIS' ONLY A FOOL PLAYED AFTER THIS, I'LL KISS YOU."

hongseok loves every cheesy activity you can think of. he is basically in charge of 'dad jokes' in pentagon. his random worplay embarasses s regularly. he also adores edited 'teleportation' during filming. yeah, hongseok is the 'cheese' in the giant pentagon cheeseburger. but most importantly, he's one adorable dork who gets excited over very small things like a little kid when surrounded by people he feels comfortable around.
he takes care of s. he wakes them up, makes sure thet get up and get ready on time. he cooks for them and he even mentioned he wants to create three recipes all by himself and make those dishes for s. pentagon unanimously proclaimed him the best cook. in all fairness, hongseok loves to eat too.
HOWEVER, there are also things which he never showed in front of the camera. WHILE hongseok TYPICALLY DOESN'T GET ANGRY EASILY like minjoo, HE HAS A BAD TEMPER. WHEN HE DOES GETS MAD, HE TURNS VIOLENT. NO ONE SHOULD GO NEAR HIM WHEN HE'S MAD SINCE HE WILL HURT PEOPLE. HE TENDS TO GET OVER-COMPETITIVE OVER THINGS. as they already knew each other for the past year, then you can see they're comfortable enough with each other. you can say they'd probably be the most active one amongst all the other participants. run here and there, yet though minjoo is afraid of water and screaming out loud that she can't swim, hongseok will bring her and throw her to the beach. but later he end up being her personal swimming coach. hongseok tell his dad jokes and minjoo will insult him playfully. cute thing like that. they're like bestfriend if only you aren't watch them closely. there is obviously sort of between them.
minjoo often calls hongseok 'babo oppa' and things like that. easily saying in front of others that it's impossible for her to like the older guy. but minjoo is actually just playing her push-and-pull games. when there are only two of them, she become softer. she shows her caring side. she'll cook for him and only him. a little touch here and there yet she act like it's nothing.
hongseok in the other side isn't a dense person. he knows minjoo is up to something. the more she play her trick, the more curious he become. with the setted atmosphere, it isn't impossible for the two started getting heated up. minjoo is a grown up lady. she is fun to be around. she is cute, just like how the company shaped every april member. but there's something moe about her. she isn't just cute. she has her y side as well. hongseok, couldn't help but start to fall for her charm.
naeun asked her eonnie to watch out for her boyfriend. at the same time, she also asked hongseok to take care of her eonnie during the trip. they use this request perfectly though. they barely leave each other side to the point others can sense easily there is something between they two.
