everywhere ain goes, trouble always seems to be brewing inside of her. the name jo ain is famous throughout her school for her sense of justice and how she stood up to the people who mistreated people. if not for that, she is also known as the fired-up girl who leads the taekwondo team to victory. passion and justice is what people have labeled her personality is, she was never afraid of speaking out her mind. even when it goes against authority, she doesn't have any ounce of fear inside her. and a lot of people admire her because of it. the other half seems to be wary of her. despite being known a sort of martyr, she's guarded towards anyone that she doesn't consider as friends. sometimes a little too guarded. with glaring eyes and suspicion, she will always question everyone who approaches her and her friends. she sometimes has no filter in what she says and comes out as unintentionally hostile. not only from her tone of voice, her mannerism too. there are many times she accidentally breaks something, not because she's clumsy, but because she's too aggressive. she would accidentally hurt herself or someone else, whether it's from her words or her actions
she's a little different when she's around her friends; more calm and relaxed, laughing along with their antics and talking about anything & everything. she puts her friends in a pedestal and values their friendship. she never crossed out nor betray her friends, that's why she needs to make sure that she has a small circle of friends that she could trust
ain led a normal childhood as far as she remembered. she was raised by good parents and even though she's not close with her sister, it was a healthy relationship. she had done taekwondo since she knows how to give a kick and it has been her passion since she was a child. it wasn't until middle school that everything went wrong. she found herself with a bad crowd and hanging out with them was only fun for her. it was so fun that she ditched taekwondo classes and eventually left the club to hang out with her friends more. this went on for 2 years; with her failing & ditching classes, and her parents' scoldings. but ain didn't care, all she cared was her friends. until they found a student that would make ain open her eyes. initially it was only teasing and taunting, which ain would look at him apologetically as she follows them. then they start shoving him around, ain protesting and trying to help him but was pulled back by them. one faithful day, her clique pulled him aside so that they can beat him up. why? because it was fun for them. ain stopped them, hissing that it stops now, but she gets punched instead. she was confused, she thought they were her friends. she asked a hundred questions as they continue kicking ain to the ground, leaving fresh bruises all over her body. the next day, those students were expelled from school. ain reflected on her actions, and come high school she rejoined the taekwondo club. she became aware of her surroundings and was careful in choosing her friends, but was brave to stand up for what was right. she gained her place as leader in taekwondo club and became some sort of icon for her school

shinji was actually a part of the clique in high school, but left them the moment they turned toxic. she had faith in ain realizing what's going on, but was saddened when she heard what happened. when they got into high school, shinji was the first person that approached ain. they were always good friends and ain trusts her, thus she was the first person who got into her close circle of friends. shinji is one of the calmer ones and always mediates people who want to talk to ain, knowing how much she distrusts people. she coaxes her a lot on trying to socialize and be less suspicious of people, convincing her that not all people will backstab her. she is the most trusted person ain can have, thus she confides in the girl a lot
don't get them wrong, despite their similar last names, ain and baekwon are not related. but they might as well be. baekwon was the student that got bullied by her former clique and the one that ain eventually saved. he was thankful of her but at the same time, he doesn't want to befriend her out of fear that she'll do it out of pity. so he kept his distance for awhile and ain respected that. it wasn't until shinji came into the picture that she eases him back into a friendship, and that is how he got into ain's circle of friends. baekwon is easily excitable and innocent, someone you want to protect from the world's evils. but on the downside is that he's fragile and a coward, which is why ain got him into the taekwondo club to help him improve from his flaws
ain and ilhyun had known each other since she first came to the taekwondo club in high school, and ever since that he's been quite smitten by her. although his antics towards her consist of playful flirtings and sleazy comments, he's also someone that can be serious when it comes to taekwondo. he's the only person who can match her strength and is her frequent sparring partner, both of them never hold back during training. but once they're out of the mat, ilhyun goes back to his flirtings. ain doesn't mind his presence, albeit not reacting to any of his advances and would snort if he said something funny. they're still close friends whose presence ain doesn't mind, but she still doesn't trust him sufficiently to be a part of her circle

TYPE : summoner and elemental
ELABORATION : a summoner mage is capable of summoning mystical beasts, whether it's infernal or virtuous ones, to do their bidding. the summoning is done by saying a special phrase in latin that must be learnt
in the case of ain, her main source of power is the infernal goddess, papillon, who took on the form of a giant woman with butterfly wings. because of ain's preferrence to close combat, she uses this summoning to her advantage. by summoning that hands and legs of papillon through the summon portal, she's able to use them as her fist & to kick, making her both a close and long-range combatant. she would be frequently seen using taekwondo techniques in the game. it is also made aware that she's able to communicate telepathically with papillon, something only a mage and their summoned can do
other than papillon, ain is also able to summon others beasts for combat or for finishing moves. these mystical beasts can happen to be elemental beast and ain is able to control it. but ain herself does not specialise in elemental powers
