history. evangeline was born and raised in boston by her parents who are also boston native. her parents are the owner of a real estate agent with her mother being ceramic painter as a side job. evangeline's love for the arts came from such a young age when her mother taught her ceramic pottery and painting it afterwards. from the moment she touched the clay and her first of painting, her future was set in the path of the arts. makeup was something that gradually become her interest when she wanted to try face painting, and it was heightened when her and her sister go through her mother's makeup bag & tried it on each other

her youtube career started when she's 16, fresh off middle school and ready to go through high school. she found out her confidence in front of the camera when the school's news team interviewed her and she felt very comfortable in front of it. so she decided to put a camera while she is painting and uploaded it to youtube. at first she didn't gained much of a following, only a few friends that are supportive and some people who stumbled upon her. she continues to make painting & sculpting videos, becoming some sort of hidden art gem of youtube. there was once when a commenter asked to pass the makeup routine in one of her art vlog videos, and this become the catharsis of her fame. the algorithm worked with her when she uploaded her first makeup routine video, then she suddenly boomed. she gained a huge following in just 1 week, some wanting to see her make makeup content and some appreciating the art content she has or both. from then on, she started to make more makeup content alongside her art. youtube also helped alleviate her personal allowance and becoming her main source of income throughout high school

education. 

initially wanting to go to RISD or parsons or pratt, evangeline decided to stay in los angeles to be closer to her friends. she received a scholarship to go to UCLA and is currently in third year, majoring in fine arts and specialising in sculpture art. evangeline initially took painting as her specialisation, but after consideration she decided to change it during her sophomore year. because she received scholarship she needs to be at the top of her class, but she's only managed to be on the top 3 of her class, which is more than enough in the scholarship requirement and more than enough for her

youtube is not her main source of income, but it is one of them. other than that, she does sculpture tutoring once a month in a local art community class and does commissions during her break. besides sculpture, she also owns a small online shop that sells sculpture accessories (earrings, pendant, rings, etc) that has her own original pieces and commisioned pieces. this shop however only opens whenever she is not swamped with school work or other priorities

evangeline's wishes after she graduates is to go full freelance and do sculpture commissions for the rest of her life, but she knows that it isn't realistic. she's planning to reconsider her choice of going to RISD or parsons or pratt for her degree and work in the art industry for a while before doing freelance. maybe on the side she will do freelance, but her long term goal is still a long way to go. she doesn't have any plans for her youtube in the future as she doesn't use youtube as her main income anymore and even if she is receiving money, it still won't be her main income, she's just doing youtube for fun

unfortunately this creativity is in one package with how lackluster she is. her ideas are all over the place and once she got a new one, she will most likely abandon the one she's working on. her most apparent flaw, evangeline had been criticized by her unfinished series or projects, hiding behind "losing inspiration" as a reason. although she has a few magnificent works that she has finished to make up for it, her lack of focus is still noticeable. evangeline has a sharp tongue and lacks a filter of words. sometimes it can be entertaining and exciting to see. still, her tone could be misinterpreted or she wouldn't be able to read the room on when her opinion is unnecessary. her brain and tongue have a clear link, which can sometimes be detrimental in hurting someone's feelings. it's ironic because evangeline is a sensitive person. she has no problem in receiving criticism and harsh but good-natured advice, but she will dignify schoolyard taunts with a response. it doesn't help that she's a confrontational person and would not hesitate to throw hands when needed. she is the kind of person that will "feed the trolls" because she is easily provoked, especially if she knows it is meant to harm her

everybody back in middle school knows, that tari + evangeline = chaos. tari in itself as a person is pretty calm. albeit she's still extroverted and friendly towards everyone, getting along well with everybody she says hi to and blends in seamlessly. but when evangeline is around, you could guarantee that it will be filled with laughter and an ensuing chaotic energy. it was the faithful day of their first class in middle school that they found each other, and by pure intuition and a seemingly telephatic communication, they decided that both of them are friends. they always team up to mess around and do stupid things, sometimes for the sake of their impulsive needs fulfilled but other times just to annoy their mutual friends. honestly if their other friends are not around to keep them in check they're just chaos personified and might accidentally burn something down.

however there is a clear distinction between their friendly and professional side. when evangeline started to receive sponsorship, tari decided to step in to help her with decision making, as tari is well-versed in those kind of things. at first she just does it to help her but as time goes both of them solidified their partnership. it's so weird to see them, because one moment they would be seriously discussing about evangeline's youtube and the second they finished, loud screech of laughter will come out of them. as she is part of evangeline's staff and help with a lot of the filming during youcon, she receives a gold package

evangeline initially only know stella by name; being the potential client for avril's work and with her telling her how stella wants her to do her commission that is not at all what avril is used to. she thought that she wouldn't hear much of her because of who avril is as a person, but was pleasantly surprised when she starts to talk about her client more. if anything, the way she talks about stella outside of the professional world grew increasingly more friendly. this excites evangeline, because avril has always been picky with her friends. and anyone who is a friend of avril, is also a friend of evangeline. when avril tagged stella on her instastory, evangeline immediately followed her with the latter following suit. their interaction so far has been small messages complimenting either stella's fashion style or evangeline's makeup of the day. eventually they're subscribed to each other. it wasn't until that they're officially introduced that evangeline can finally put the face to the name. and the rest is history

evangeline and dominic was the perfect couple in high school, with the other students swooning over them and wanting what they have. but behind closed doors, he was toxic to her. he was possessive and a hypocrite, making her insecure with him flirting with other girls when he was dating her. keeping her by making her feel like nobody will ever love her like he does. her friends begged her to break up with him, initially oblivious to what he does to her but were quick to do an intervention when made known. it wasn't until her current lover came into her life and helped her realize what he is doing to her. it started slow, from her being timid around him to her not being afraid to speak up about what he does. when she retaliates too much, he got angry and basically confessed that he cheated on her. he tried to make her stay even after the fact, but she left after that

dominic is still salty over this fact and tries to make her jealous by dating various people, but he is not part of her life anymore. so he started making false rumors about her when they dated and this piqued the interest of her viewers. but this was quick to be shot down by evangeline's friends, their mutuals, and evangeline herself, making his statements not credible. the truth is, he is still in love with her and misses her and was extremely jealous when her current lover is revealed. when the news came out that she will be attending youcon, dominic was quick to buy the passes to the convention. maybe he'll be able to see her again

their story starts with a commission request by luna wang, and during their meeting, luna's friend was there with her. at first she paid her no mind as she is focused on her work, but she was slightly pleased that that the friend commissioned her. that means that her art has made an impact on her, yet she's a little worried. when she does her research on her client, she stumbled upon her youtube and they have very different styles. and that was proven when they met to discuss the artwork, and their artistic differences was so apparent that avril initially rejected the work and was ready to move on. but lo and behold the client, stella zhang, is a master in persuasion. they had a back and forth as to why avril should work on it. tt wasn't until the proposition of "broadening her style" presented by both stella and evangeline that she started to think about it. after awhile, avril decided to accept the commission and get to work. what they didn't is that their relationship will blossom into a more friendly one

during avril's working time, she found out that stella can be uptight and very particular in what she wants. she wants to be a part of the creative process. not that avril minds of course as the more clearer the client's vision is, the more confident she becomes in her work. it's just that avril grew increasingly anxious on stella asking about her life, as she's not used to clients being interested in her as a person. she answered reluctantly and answers vaguely on anything private for her, but she happily responds to anything art related. after awhile, stella became determined in befriending her and became even more friendlier. usually avril would stay away, but she can feel that stella is genuine. even finding her determination to be endearing. avril started to answer more frankly and honestly, getting comfortable with her albeit still a little shy. it was after their commission is done that they become even more closer. avril was genuinely thankful for helping her widen her styles and they both agreed to hangout as friends rather than a professional setting. this relationship has lasted long and they became best friends, they care for each other and often could be seen together when they're not busy. they even have matching tattoos to commemorate their friendship

☄︎🕊 hello; it was when both of them are in middle school and avril's school was visiting their sister school. it was the summer festival and the school held sports games to fun booths by the classes. rather than pitting schools against each other, the directors decided to mix students of each school into teams. and that was when the fun & friendly evangeline met the timid and reserved avril. but evangeline has an aura that reassures everyone to befriend her, including avril. evangeline was interested in the shy girl, and decided to befriend her first and focuses on her the whole time. she can tell that avril was not used to this many people and was nervous about being seen by many people during the matches, so she makes sure to help her with it. along 3 days of the festival, they grew comfortable and avril started to open up slowly. after the festival is over, they stayed in touch through facebook and chatted when they have time. but they grew increasingly busy with school

☄︎🕊 reunion; it wasn't until high school that they meet again. this time it's evangeline turn to visit avril's school during their festival, avril was working as one of the festival's creative director. avril was overjoyed when she spotted evangeline and talked to her for awhile, before being called to do her duties. they made a promise to meet after the festival so they can make up for loss time. they met outside of the school's gate and went to a cafe to catch up. they talked about everything and anything, from avril's experience as a creative director and evangeline's youtube hobby, they laid it all out in there. it wasn't until evangeline told her about her relationship that avril felt a strange pang in her heart. she couldn't figure out what it was, but she just smiled and congratulate her. they exchanged numbers and promised to keep in touch even more

☄︎🕊 catharsis; as promised, they do keep in touch. as a way for them to keep seeing each other, they applied for an art class after school at a local art community school. when they don't see each other there, they will go to eat dinner together. however those times outside of the art class will be interrupted by dominic who grew increasingly possessive despite him messing around with other girls. evangeline was sad, but being with avril made her feel better and safe and comfortable around her. avril was sad and angry seeing her like this, her being messed around by a guy. she made sure to coax her slowly and surely to realize that he was treating her like . she was with her when evangeline realized this and kept her company after they broke up. there was once when dominic blamed avril for evangeline breaking up with him, accusing her of making her like this because avril has feelings for her. but evangeline stood up for her and fought back. dominic was right, she does have feelings for her but she did it because she wants to protect evangeline from him. what avril didn't know, she also has mutual feelings for avril. even though they never said anything about it, their romantic tension grew and they became more intimate with each other

☄︎🕊 confession; being in the same course definitely did not help with their frustration. they are basically glued to the hip and always together. the only time they are not together is when they go to their respective dorm rooms to sleep, but evangeline frequents to her room often just to be with her. when their freshman years are over, they moved in to an apartment together. even with the growing tension and a few slip ups when they are drunk, they're still in slight denial. they both realised that they have feelings for each other when they talked to their respective best friends. it was like a truck hitting them both and now they look at each other with more meaning, and they can sense each other's frustrations. it was one night when evangeline came to her room to try some hairstyles for a video idea. they were casually talking while she did avril's hair. the touch of evangeline's fingers stiffened avril but she tried to pass it off. truthfully evangeline was also nervous, it felt more intimate than before. and something is different as they keep glancing at each other through the mirror. evangeline laughed it off and told her to turn so she can see more clearly. they both stared at each other and it was silent between them. something feels different. they closed in on each other. it feels natural to them. but avril put a hand on evangeline's shoulder to stop her "are you...sure about this?" she whispered, concerned. evangeline blinked before biting her lips "i...really like you..." her soft voice confirmed her feelings. and avril's lips on hers was also a response to her confession
