Hikari is curious about everything, she is always ready to learn about adventures, mysterious equipment and adventures. The unknown and the world itself is something she is desperate to understand in more detail. Her thirst for knowledge makes her read a lot, and therefore she not only becomes more intellectual, but also it helps her dream even more. She often daydreams about adventures, traveling the world, being someone else entirely for a day. Being with her head on the clouds for a long period, she gets distracted with her own thoughts. For the same reason, due to her curiousiness and adventureous side, she may get into trouble, by getting in places she shouldn't be, touch things she's not supposed to or hear things she shouldn't. She is a free spirit, who feels she is trapped and wants to discover the world, as big things are waiting for her.

Although Hikari is shy at first, she is friendly and easily gets comfortable around with people as long as there is mutual respect and the person is good. She has a pure heart and is unable to see someone sad or hurting, she will do her best to help the person. In addition, her optimistic and bubbly side, lets people around her feel at ease and the mood is always lively wherever she is. Due to her innocent side, she is naive and may get manipulated and fooled easily by people with dark intentions, however if that happens she would feel extremely hurt and guilty. She is the emotional type, is she is sad she will cry, if someone is sad, she is emphathetic and will also feel sad, but regardless, if she is happy the whole world should be happy too.

More than just an entertainer, Hikari is also a good friend, who is a good listener and will be there for better and worse. She is brave, always ready for a new challenge and impulsive, accepting new challenges and ideas quickly. She follows her heart and listens to her brain later. She is straightforward, saying exactly whatever is in her mind, and truth to be told, as a royal who should be quiet and behave, that is a lot troublesome. Her childish side makes her stubborn and proud, as she won't admit she is wrong at first (at it may take a while), but she eventually admits it and apologises for her behaviour. She hates waiting, second seems minutes and minutes feel like hours and she could be using that time to daydream, instead of being there.

BACKGROUND :

Once upon a time a flower blossomed in raintide

It was the first day of Raintide, 21 of  Greencrest, the trees were filled with pretty flowers in a beautiful breathtaking scenery. Screams could be heard from Miyuseille palace as the new princess was born. Violet Hikari Argent, the 5th born of the Argent imperial family, who should bring light to those around her. There was a tradition in the imperial family of Miyuseille, where the female members inherit the Jiā-Min name and men are titled according to their Anglian name, therefore, princess Violet should be addressed as princess Hikari.

King Theodore and Queen Noriko were blessed with 5 outstanding children: Crown Prince Adrien (the great), Princess Emika (the beauty) and the twins Princess Kanako (the gifted) and Prince Francis (the genius) and finally, Princess Hikari (the dreamer).

As the light of the family, Hikari grew up filled with love and affection from her family and servants. She was a happy child that was able to brighten everyone around her. She had the habit of catching a flower from the royal garden and place it behind her ear to adorn her hair. King Theodore, who was always tired because of his duties, always felt re-energised after spending a couple of minutes with his beloved daughter. He called her Fleur, meaning flower is flaustefi. She was his joy and everyone in the palace knew that she was her father's little girl.

She had a royal education, with teaching of history, politics, manners, ethiquete, language, dance, and so on. Of course that was too boring for Hikari, as she always managed to flee from her studies and escape to the library where she was at peace. No, Princess Hikari wasn't there to study, do not get fooled by watching her reading books, she was reading stories about fairytales, her favourites. She enjoyed to learn about the world from her books, the existence of other kindgoms, pirates, dwarfs, fauns, goblins, merepeople and so on. Whenever she went to the window, she held a deep breath and exhaled loudly, wondering what adventures and mysterious would the sea, seen in the horizon, hold. She would always receive a scold from her older brother or her mother, about not attending her lessons and be staying in the library instead, however, they knew it would be useless as Hikari would do exactly the same again.

A royal engagement is not always like it is written in books

Hikari grew to be an elegant woman and her father grew busier and he did not approve of the too careless behaviour of his daughter, even thought he cared for her. She was still daddy's girl, but more distant now since he would be either too tired or busy to spend time with her. Although she would sometimes pout and be sad, she did understand his position and responsability, and knowing that she was the youngest, she could not ask for more attention than what she received.

When she turned 16 years old, her father asked to see her. Hikari was thrilled and wore her best clothes, she wanted to get close to her father once again, however, the reason behind his calling was far from what she was expecting.

- "Princess, I introduce you to King Sebastian I from Spenia. He has a son around your age, you two shall be engaged, unite and bring honour to our families".

No that can't be happening. Hikari was in shock, yes she knew about political marriages, but she always thought it would be fated to her older sister Kaede, whose beauty is uncomparable, why her? She belived in love, she wanted to marry by love, not for political reasons. She excused herself and went to her bedroom to cry the whole day and night, like a hopeless soul looking for comfort in her own sadness. Her loyal handmaiden was extremely worried and informed Hikari's mother immediately about the situation.

- "My dearest flower, I understand your frustration, but it is a princess duty to honour her family throught marriage. I too was engaged to your father from a political marriage to form a union between Miyuseille and Jiāyuán. Love my dear, comes with time as you learn about each other, familiar bonds will develop and love naturally blossoms. It is your duty, my daughter, to fulfill your duty as a princess of Miyuseille".

Althought she was extremely upset, Hikari found comfort in her mother's words and decided to give a chance to Crown Prince Henry, her fiancé. After meeting him, she realised he was not a bad person and he was against this engagement as much as she was, which gave her some comfort. Days turned into months, then years and despite her efforts she was not sure what she felt was love (which was supposed to be an amazing feeling), or simply comfort with a companion. On the other hand, Prince Henry's affections for Hikari increased as he found himself trying to court her and win her love.

The legend of a trapped flower who became a runaway princess

Years had passed, Hikari, a now beautiful and grew up woman, felt she was trapped in her own world. Although she loved being a princess and she adored her family, she knew that there was more to her than just being someone's wife and mother. She wanted to live adventures so she could one day tell her own children stories not about fairytales, but her own. She have read a story about a princess, whose hand was promised into marriage, that run on the day of her wedding ceremony. For several reasons, she could understand the girl's feelings better than anyone.

She had been exchanging letters and receiving visits from her fiancé who grew to adore her and tried by any means to express his feelings for her. She became used to his presence, but she was not totally comfortable with the situation and often asked herself if that was really love. One day he visited her and as they walked through the royal garden, a question filled Hikari's head.

- "Tell me Enrique, what do you think there is beyond the sea?"
- "I do not understand you my lady. Certaintly there are other kingdoms, such as Spenia".
- "Have you never wondered about the mysteries of the world?"
- "Why should I? I have a kingdom to rule and major problems to deal with. I have no time for child fantasies".

Child fantasies, that was what her beliefs meant to him. She could understand him, her siblings were the same, they all had their duties in check and priorities, no one wants to see the unknwon. But, what was that hurt feeling that was stinging hard. News came sooner than later, Prince Henry and her's wedding ceremony should be conducted soon. Hikari panicked. No, she had bigger dreams, she could not settle into a marriage before any of her questions get answered. And just like that, she resumed the Runaway Princess' book and decided she, herself shall leave for an adventure. With the help of her loyal handmaiden, she started preparing to run for a quest. She prepared everything for her mastermind plan, she was proud of herself. Everything was going to be perfect, what could go wrong?

That night, before going to bed she heard a few servants speaking about a pirate raid. Funny enough, she was indeed reading a story about pirates that day, The legend of the Princes among Thieves, it was a book she found in the library, which fairly odd she hadn't seen before. It was a story about a raid of pirates, the king of the sea, a captain who fell in love for a mermaid, a woman pirate (that really surprised her), a missionary who had been kidnapped, an intellectual women, a talented healer, a spoiled noble, a witch, a cursed girl, a long lost princess, a young girl seeking for revenge, a blooming princess and a group of pirates with saddening stories. Sleep was getting the upper hand, and while she was still in the middle of the book, Hikari decided to sleep for the day and resume her reading the next day.

A freezing breeze of wind escaped from the window and reached Hikari's face. How weird, she was sure her handmaiden had closed the window. The cold was bothering her, so she decided to stand from her bed and close the window, however she was surprised with a man in front of her. She was scared, but before uttering a single word, she was carried out of her bedroom and the last thing she rememberes is her handmaiden, who returned to her room after hearing a strange sound, calling for her "Hikari hime!".

Upon waking up, she found herself in the Nightingale ship. She looked around trying to find any familiar faces, which she was relieved after seeing her loyal handmaiden. For a second she tried to grasp her situation and realised she was in a pirate's ship and it seems like she wouldn't be sent to Spenia. Should I ask them to return me home? What should I do? While in a mental conflict she realised it was her perfect opportunity to emerge into her so awaited adventure and she should take advantage of this. After all she became the runaway princess. She wondered if her family would look for her in her absence and for a small second regretted her decision. But when a man approached her and asked who she was, she did not hesitate, Hikari was a name bound to Myuseille, Spenia and her duties. She looked at the man in the eyes, with confidence and determition "Call me Violet".

"A Princess life is not reflected in books, I do dare to dream living my own adventure"

— Her knowledge about the world and pirates are resumed to what she read on books, therefore seeing that the world is not exactly a fairytale as written in books would definitely shock her;

— Although she does not intend to marry now (because deep down she knows she does not love Prince Henry and does not want to be forced into an arranged marriage) she wants to have a fairytale wedding, love her husband deeply and have a lot of children;

Theodore is the ruler of Myuseille and thus he is constantly busy with his duties. He sometimes may sound cold or too strict, but that is because he is too tired from his work and people appear at a bad timing. He wished he could have the time to spend more time and be closer to his children. Hikari is the light in his darkness, and whenever she is around he is able to enjoy and relax for a moment. He adores his daughter and he wishes he could spend more time with her, but he can't afford that. He calls her Fleur but in Hikari's perspective he is not as close to her as he used to be and she feels that it is entirely her fault and wants to change that. The king of Spenia, Sebastian I, proposed an allience between both kingdoms through an arrange marriage between his oldest son and Theodore's youngest daughter. Theodore was not keen at first, because it was his little girl, but he needed to stabilish an union with Spenia and his duties as a king came first. However, he does wish for his daughter's happiness above everything. After his daugther goes missing, he hears notice that she could have run away, however soon he discovers that pirates had kidnapped her. He will see no means to rescue his little girl.

Noriko, Hikari's mother, is her refugy and someone she relies on. She goes to her mother for comfort and advice. Her mother loves her deeply and understand her pain as an engaged princess, as she once were in her shoes. However, she is still strict towards Hikari, towards fulfilling her duties. She fears for how carefree and innocent Hikari is. When her daughter goes missing, she becomes extremely concerned for Hikari's well being as she is afraid her daughter is not ready to face the dangerous world. Noriko in Inoshi means law, rule, benevolent.

—Older brother (First born) : Adrien Ryuji Argent (27) / The Great / cold, disciplined, diplomatic  / 9/10 (fc: Ryo Yoshizawa / bc: Shunya Shiraishi or Takeru Satoh)
Crown Prince Adrien, who was cold to everyone, could not help but show love towards his little sister (of course, Hikari is adorable, and it would be hard to anyone be cold to her for long). Because Hikari is a special girl, she likes to call her brother Ryuu, the short form of his Jiā-Min name. Hikari was always mesmerised by everything he did. He had a profund knowledge for politics, history and was great with a sword. Of course, as Hikari grew up, curious as she is, she wanted to learn how to use a sword, he did not accept her request, but Hikari being stubborn as she is, managed to receive a lesson from him (even thought it was with a woden sword). Instead, he taught her using bow and arrows as she showed to be extremely skilled. Even though he did not admit, he is proud of his little sister and loves her dearly, being always cautious and taking care of her (and even letting her bother him during his studies). Despites that, he is also the stricter brother and is always concerned about her education and duties. After Hikari's disappearance, he becomes extremely upset and orders his best soldiers to look after her and he promised to rescue her. Ryuuji means imperial dragon in Inoshi.

Princess Emika is the second child of King Theodore and Queen Noriko. Her beauty is unquestionable and she easily attracts people around her. She is a great communicator and knows how to deal and negociate with people. She sometimes may seem arrogant and cold, but deep inside she is a nice girl who adores her little sister. She commented often on Hikari's appearance and teached her how to speak with men since her little sister seems to be too innocent for this world. She likes to help Hikari preparing herself, and as a big sister provides advice. She becomes unsettled when Hikari disappears and is worried since her sister is to naive for this world. Yet, she tries to use her connections to gather information about her whereabouts. Emika means blessed beautiful child in Inoshi.

Princess Kanako and Prince Francis are twin brothers who have a similar aura, yet they have a different personality. Kanako is a child blessed with talent for the artistic world, in particular music. She is able to play different instruments very accurately and is also a great traditional dancer. She is a nice and kind person, who displays a calming aura. She likes to say by Hikari's side and hear her little sister tell her stories that she found, while she performs for Hikari. She feels sorry that her sister is trapped in an arranged marriage, especially knowing Hikari's dreams. When Hikari disappears she becomes very sad and she will help her siblings and father to find her. Kanako means child of great blessings and music in Inoshi.

Prince Francis was born with a blessing for strategy. He sees everything as a piece of a chessboard and can come with ideas and strategies quickly. Hikari likes to particularly point his Casanova personality as he charms every girl around him and prefers to hang out with girls rather than perform his duties as it is too boring. Politics are easy for him to understand and he likes challenges, thus he often helps his older brother and father with doing work. He likes to have fun with Hikari as she sees the world in a different prespective. Although he likes his royal status, he also enjoys Hikari's view in learning more about the world, as there might be a lot of challenges around. He is funny and likes to mess and fight with his sister to see her proud and childish side. After he heard news about Hikari's disappearance, he becomes frustrated and decides to use his brain to help his father and brother finding his sister. Kei means blessed child, lucky, excellence and wise in Inoshi.

Henry is a prince very popular in Spenia due to his looks, however being the gentleman and loyal person he is, he was faithful to Hikari, not betraying her trust. He was against the engagement at first, since he did not approve of people choosing his own future, however, after spending time with Hikari he had fallen deeply for her. He tried to court her and make her fall for him, since he knows she wants to marry for love. He is a good leader and although his father has ulterior motives for his engagement with a princess from Myuseille, he will not follow his father pathway. His father has a lot of enemies due to his temper and cunning personality, especially pirates, as he had done bad things to affect their lives. His father is gathering military support and powerful men and is just waiting for an excuse to use his power to belittle people and start a war. Henry will not allow that to happen. After he learned that his fiancé was kidnapped by pirates, Henry became heartbroken and swore he would be the one taking her home and giving her the fairytale she always looked for. He will use his military support and power to help King Theodore bring his daughter home. He will locate the NIghtingale's crew and fight for his woman.

Hikari cherishes her loyal handmaiden deeply. She has always been there for her, in good and bad times and never let her down. When they get kidnapped, Hikari at first is relieved to see her friend's face, however she soon feels guilty because she became involved due to Hikari's kidnapping. Hikari will always try to lift her mood and make her happy and once she hears her friend has fallen in love, she rejoices and promises to hep her in anything she can. When Hikari has fallen in love, she did not have to tell her friend, as she realised first than Hikari herself.

Pan is a princess just like Hikari, and probably the person who would understand her the best. She becomes curious about her and soon they become close friends. She will be there for Pan no matter what and will always make her friend happy. She likes to tease Pan whenever she can and after realising Pan's feelings for Kazuma, the teasing won't stop. Had only she know the same would happen, when Hikari's feelings for a certain pirate are unveiled by her friend.

WHAT DO YOU THINK OF PIRATES? I’M SURE YOU’VE HEARD A TALE OR TWO : 

— "A tale or two?" Hikari chuckles a little and nod her head in agreement "I have read a lot of stories about pirates, their achievements, their adventures and their hardships. It is indeed an incredible adventure to meet the world, and be the masters of the sea, but I bet you must feel lonely when you are here by yourselves, am I right?"

WHAT IS YOUR PURPOSE FOR MEETING OUR CAPTAIN? HE IS A BUSY MAN : 

— "Well... In the first place I did not actually have a choice, as I was kidnapped from my room. My purpose... I believe I want to meet your captain and ask him for a chance. I understand it may not make any sense why a princess would like to sail with a pirate crew, since it is not suitable for a lady, but in reality I always wanted to see the world you see... I feel that my life has a purpose, which is to live my own adventure instead of being trapped in a palace and being a wife. I do not ask you to understand, but please let me ask him for this taste of freedom".

IT’S A KNOWN SUPERSTITION THAT WOMEN ARE BAD LUCK ON SHIPS, SO WHAT MAKES YOU WORTHY TO TAG ALONG? : 

— "Wait what? I have never read that before" She sighs but regains her posture "I may be a woman, but I do not lack in many things, I am a princess after all. I will be helpful, I will do my best. I can protect myself, I can sing and dance, I can learn how to cook. Tell me what to do and I will do it. I am a lucky person and not a supertitious, so perhaps I can change your mind!" She replies cofidently with a big smile on her lips.

COMMENTS : I hope you like my little girl, I had a lot of fun to create her as she is such a lovely girl. I had problems with finding clothes that suited what you described as regency clothing with japanese adornments, so I hope I managed to have a satisfactory idea haha. I've put 3 songs in the password, because honestly there are so many good songs in disney ;-; . I was going to add another one from disney (Tangled - I see the light ) and choose one from the Barbie Princess and the Pauper, but I ended up choosing those 3 haha.
