jy / skpsgirl123

NICKNAMES. —

✎ — Deary : Her mother uses this term.
✎ — Peachy : It's kind of an inside joke between her and Christopher, her deceased ex.
✎ — Runa : Her childhood best friend, Nicole uses this term, it's just a short form of her name.

BIRTHDAY — 12/03/1985 (32 before initiative, 33 after.)

BIRTHPLACE — Liverpool, United Kingdom
HOMETOWN — Liverpool, United Kingdom

ETHNICITY — Indian
BLOOD STATUS — Muggle

— COVER LETTER.

FACE CLAIM — Priyanka Chopra

APPEARANCE — height + weight = 165cm / 60kg
( Curvy, svelte figure. Long, wavy dark brown hair. Luminous dark eyes. Basically she looks like her face claim.)

STYLE — Aruna has a pretty conservative sense of fashion and doesn't like to show a lot of skin. She's not a fan of bright colours, prefering lighter and milder colours. She wears a lot of dresses, skirts and heels whenever she's at work but usually when she's out alone or with friends, she's a little bit more casual but nonetheless still pretty classy in her sense of fashion, wearing jeans with heels and a dress shirt maybe. When at home, she lets completely loose and is at her most comfortable. It's her safe haven in a way and she just drops the steely, strong independent woman facade she has.

— PERSONAL INFORMATION.

PERSONALITY

✎ GENERALLY...

Aruna certainly comes across as mysterious and elusive as an individual. She keeps to herself and rarely lets slip her emotions, preferring to stay quiet and blend into the background which honestly can make her come across as passive. She doesn't like to attract attention to herself and would much rather prefer to keep a relatively low profile. At first sight, most would get the impression that she's quite the independent, career woman who manages to look as pristine and put together as always despite having an intense work schedule. It is very difficult to break her out of her shell but when you do, she's probably the most reliable 'mom' friend you'll have. Although she doesn't show it, she cares for her peers a lot, is loyal and does whatever she can behind the scenes to silently support them. Aruna is calm and rarely cracks under pressure, which a lot of people admire especially in law school. She's patient with others as well, not one to easily lose her temper. She can however, be quite the pessimistic one and she has the tendency to assume the worst in every situation. She doesn't trust very easily and can take a lot of time to get to know.

Although she comes off as somewhat unapproachable, deep down her personality isn't like that at all. Deep within her, she's actually very sensitive towards other people's feelings and hates to see people hurt or upset. She has an uncanny ability to tell when someone is having a bad day or feeling down and will try to figure out what's wrong to help that person in her own way. Aruna is not one for big gestures and she shows her care by helping out rather than vocalising it. She is a traditionalist and prefers to stick to conventional methods of doing things, not one to make too many risks. She's extremely cautious by nature and actively avoids conflict, preferring to use a round about way to solve her problems. She is also known to be very decisive and once she makes up her mind, there's no two ways about it.

✎ AT WORK...

At work, Aruna is a true powerhouse and superhuman. She is highly invested in her career and holds herself to very high personal standards. She is excellent at getting the job done and it is not easy to distract this woman from the task at hand. She is unwillingly to take shortcuts and undercut others to advance in her career and firmly believes in hard work to achieve success. When things go wrong, Aruna has the tendency to blame herself and retreat into her shell of self-criticism. She's especially harsh on herself. She takes full responsibility for her work and herself.

A lone wolf when it comes to work, she thrives when she works alone. It's what she prefers anyways. She's a certified perfectionist so she'd rather do all the work herself and be solely responsible for the quality of the work than risk having others ruin it. When asked to work with others, she's fine by it. It's just that she'd prefer to work alone that's all. Aruna is very serious when it comes to her work, sometimes intimidating others just by how involved she is in her work! Some may mistaken this demeanor for being stuck up which can be quite unfortunate for Aruna.

✎ WITH FRIENDS, FAMILY AND IN LOVE...

As much as she hates to admit it, she can be clingy when it comes to her personal relationships. Aruna has an innate fear of abandonment ever since Christopher (her ex fiance) died. She has kind of build up all these walls around her and is very afraid of being hurt. Aruna is very giving towards her loved ones and willing to give up everything to ensure their safety and happiness. When she loves and trusts, she opens herself up wholeheartedly and is willing to be vulnerable in front of others which she normally would have rather died than do.

As a friend, she's that one friend you can call at 3am to pick you up from a club. She's always there for her friends and appreciates them alot. Aruna fusses about her friends and may seem annoying sometimes but she's really just showing care. She is normally one to let her friends take center stage while she supports them behind the scenes, preferring to blend into the background.

In love, she may not seem to be wholly involved at first since she guards her feelings very very tightly. Yet when she falls in love, she is one of the most giving and loving partners ever. She is able to really let loose and you just see this carefree and lively side to her you'd never see normally.

— EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE.

BACKGROUND (TW - DEPRESSION + TRAUMA)

Aruna was born on the 3rd of December 1985 in Liverpool, UK to single mother, Jayshriee Kandasamy (m. Nair). Her father had left them for another woman when her mother was pregnant with her so she never grew to know who her father was since her mother would never let her know either. Growing up, she was a quiet child. It was just her and her mother. They'd settled in a relatively quieter neighbourhood so she didn't interact a lot with other people. She greatly admired her mother for raising her by herself and respected her a lot. Aruna had always been a demure child, rarely speaking unless called upon. She was also a bright child who did well in school. Her mother had always emphasised the importance of education to Aruna which became ingrained her mindset. She never wanted to disappoint her mother who brought her up so painstakingly, so she studied.

Eventually, she did well enough at the A levels to qualify for one of the most prestigious universities in the world - The University of Cambridge. Choosing to major in law, Aruna went on to do even better in university. A very dedicated and cerebral student, she topped her cohort and made the Dean's List, ultimately graduating with first class honours. Her emails and phone had been blowing up with job offers on every end and less than a month after she graduated, she already had a high paying job at a multi-billion dollar company as a legal advisor. Although the pay was handsome, she realised that the corporate world was far from clean. Her boss wasn't a very nice man at all and was a disgusting man who scorned upon women like her. Yet, she didn't let this faze her. She was going to rise up among the ranks amidst her toxic colleagues and make a name for herself. One thing she had always been questioned on was her love life. Admittedly, Aruna didn't think much of it and much preferred to focus on her career. After years of never being attached or getting romantically involved with anyone, she finally met a man that was going to be a very prominent part of her life.

They met on a bright, breezy morning when Aruna was out jogging. He had been out jogging in the park as well. He took a break on one those benches and not long after, she took a seat next to him, barely noticing him at all. When she tried to take a sip of water, she'd realised that there was no more water much to her dismay. Sensing what was going on, Christopher had offered her some water. Looking at him skeptically, she rejected it and proceeded to search for spare change in her wallet. As luck would have it, she had none. Chuckling, he offered to buy her one. She considered his offer briefly, not wanting to accept it but she was really dehydrated and home was 45 minutes away. Aruna reluctantly accepted the offer. He had struck up a conversation with her on their way there, much to her dismay. She wasn't in the mood to talk. She mostly listened to what he had to say, which he didn't mind. Turns out, Christopher is new to the city of Liverpool having moved over from London because of his job. He was 30 (3 years older than she was) and a university associate professor in Sociology. Although she started off dreading the awkward conversation that was to come, she found that she quite enjoyed listening to him. It's not everyday she finds someone that she actually has an interest in. After buying her water, he had asked for her number which she for once, willingly gave.

For the next few months, they'd been out together several times and it wasn't long before they both developed romantic feelings towards each other. They were really getting to know each other, becoming closer every day. They'd facetime and chat about everything on the regular and every time they hung up, Aruna would feel a warm feeling in her full heart. She had never felt that way about anyone, this was a man she could really love. Wait, love? Was she in love? Maybe she was, and surprisingly she didn't mind being in love. Months turned to years. In a blink of an eye, they'd been dating for about 4 years now. He was now 34 and she, 31. They were a match made in heaven and their love for each other was so obvious, it made Nicole gag. At the same time, she was happy for Aruna. Her best friend deserved to experience happiness. She had moved in into his apartment and they were as good as a married couple. However, it'd all come crashing down one fateful day.

He had been on his way to a restaurant to meet her for dinner and in his hand, he clutched a ring box. Christopher was beside himself with excitement and he couldn't wait to propose to the woman he loved. Imagine the joy on her face! It was finally the right time to propose to this woman he loved so much. Just as he crossed the road, he failed to check for incoming cars and before he knew it, his body was in the most unimaginable pain possible. He laid sprawled on the ground, his body mangled and bloody.

'No....' He gasped weakly, darkness overcoming him as he heard an anguished scream from a distance. He died on the 12th of March 2016. The paramedics had rushed to the scene but he'd been declared dead even before they had reached the hospital. That day would live in infamy in Aruna's memories. She'd have flashbacks about the accident and seeing her love dead and bloodied, it did things to her. She was shaking with sorrow and her tears wouldn't stop flowing. Nobody could comfort her, not even Jayshriee or Nicole, her childhood best friend. Aruna wouldn't eat, couldn't sleep and wanted to talk to no one, much to the worry of her close ones. She started to falter at her job and Edward (her boss) got more and more irritated at her state. He wasn't a man of mercy and couldn't care less whether she had lost a loved one or not. Her years of attempting to rise up among the ranks fell flat within a few days while she grieved. She couldn't make it back to work after Christopher's death because of how shaken she was and honestly, she didn't care. Christopher was gone now and that meant her world was too. She started developing insomnia and she became so weak with malnutrition (she wouldn't eat) that Nicole staged a desperate intervention for her friend. She couldn't let Aruna go off the deep end like that.

Nicole made arrangements for her to go for therapy and ensured she ate every day, even going so far to come over to her place to take care of her. Her mother cooked her favourite dishes and left loving notes for her daughter daily. Joshua (who she met in university and subsequently befriended), made sure she took her anti-depressants and would call her every single day, talking to her and keeping her company sometimes even dropping by their places with small gifts. Another good friend of hers Melissa, would sometimes join and together, it'd feel like the old days back at uni. If it wasn't for the people around her, Aruna probably wouldn't have lasted a year. Slowly but steadily, she managed to get back on her own two feet, firmly burying her past behind her. Under no circumstances was she to revisit her past, it was too painful to do so. The reason why she's even back on her own two feet was because of Nicole. The least she could do was appreciate her efforts by not falling back into depression. About a year and a half had passed since Christopher died. Knowing him, he'd be disheartened and upset if she was going to go on that way. A  year and a half's break proved to be devastating to her career however, no companies or firms were interested in hiring her due to her history with depression and her less than merciful ex boss, Edward who'd written her down ruthlessly for those few days of grieving despite her otherwise stellar work record. These days, Aruna had been busy job hunting, not allowing herself to get discouraged and possibly fall back into a self wallowing state but striving to keep her head in the game. She had to do this for herself. If not for herself, she must at least try her best for those who matter...And for Christopher.

THE INITIATIVE
Aruna had been at home taking a nap when she'd been awoken by a loud clap outside. At first, she shrugged it off as thunder but it wasn't even a minute before multiple loud claps, each louder than before could be heard outside. Confused, she peered warily out of the window. There weren't just loud claps and cracks outside, there was flashing lights and distant screams of terror which were masked by the loud sounds she'd heard. She sobered up in less than a second and a chill went down her spine. What was going on?

She raced to her phone and gave her mother a quick call to ensure her safety. Much to her relief, her mother is safe at home but she too wondered what was going on outside. Aruna firmly advised her mother to stay home which the older women grumbled at but understood her daughter's good intentions. Hanging up, she realised she'd gotten several texts from Nicole, her best friend.

nicole:  GIRL HAVE YOU SEEN WHAT'S HAPPENING OUTSIDE?? - 8:34pm

             HELLO? ANYONE HOME >.> - 8:34pm

if you're sleeping istg... WAKE TF UP! -8:35pm

Bewildered but a little on edge, Aruna swiftly typed out a response.

aruna: what's going on? - 8:38pm

nicole: check the news like asap - 8:38pm

Another loud rumble that was unlike the usual ones that signalled an incoming storm, Aruna hastily switched on the television, confused as to what exactly was going on. On the news channel, images of people with wooden sticks in their hands seemingly terrorising people on the street. A footage was shown of these unidentified individuals yelling out odd words and flashes of light coming from the tip of the sticks they held. Yelps and shouts of horror from the footage made her wince and instinctively switch the television off. According to the news reporter, the attackers had called for a 'New World Order' and that 'muggles' must be cleansed from the world. It was unclear whether the term 'muggle' was used to refer to the victims or whether it was specific targets they had but local authorities had confirmed that they were not 'like your average person'. These people knew magic and it wasn't the kind of magic that involved cards or the kind you'd see at a magic show. The magic that these people had were extraordinary and definitely did not go in line with the laws of physics and nature. Magic exists and it has shown itself to be more powerful than the human mind ever imagined.

Aruna had to take a deep breath before she could allow herself to think about what she'd heard. Her phone was blowing off with texts by different people, all discussing about what had happened. Apparently, it wasn't just Liverpool. This was happening almost simultaneously around the world, throwing the world into momentary chaos before the attackers' plans were interfered with and stopped. Authorities knew that they would come back soon and till then, all they could do was prepare themselves and hope that they are ready for the next attack that may befall anytime. Aruna wasn't one to believe in magic but the flashes of lights outside and the news she'd just seen made her question everything. Thankfully by now, the flashes had died down. She could only hope no one was grievously injured. It was certainly bizaare that magic actually does exists. Newspeople would probably be having a field day tomorrow at the Prime Minister's conference.

A week had passed since the incident had happened and it was news that magic has coexisted with humanity since forever ago. The world was shaken with this revelation with some taking to protesting on the streets, in denial about this news. Some claim it was aliens, others said it was a hidden government's agenda to kill off political activists (which is really just garbage). Aruna had been following the news and can't help but worry whether looking for jobs would be more difficult. She'd already had troubles finding a job but now?

As she made her way home after her 3rd job interview for the month, she caught sight of a particular flyer attached to the metro bulletin board. Most people didn't seem to notice since it was the rush hour and everyone was busy heading home but she did. Squeezing her way through the crowd and murmuring her apologies along the way, she stared at the details of the flyer. A 'Muggle Integration Initiative'. Huh, interesting. The pay wasn't too bad and although she didn't know too well what sort of people they were looking for, she thought she'd give it a try.

— REFERENCES.

FAMILY —

✎ mother / jayshriee nair / 58 / loving, intuitive, strong-willed, brave / muggle
Jayshriee is truly a woman of sheer will and steel. Having single handedly raised Aruna from the start, Aruna really appreciates, respects and loves her as a mother. She cares deeply for her mother and her mother is her number one priority. They have a very close and bonded relationship, although Jayshriee may be a little pushy sometimes Aruna knows that it just shows that her mother really cares for her.

FRIENDS —

✎ childhood best friends / nicole hartmann / 33 / headstrong, outgoing, protective, caring / muggle
Nicole and Aruna have been friends ever since they met each other in their first year in primary school. They were seatmates and Nicole struck up a conversation with the more reserved and quieter Aruna. Talking to Nicole was easy since Nicole seemed to be able to do all the talking and all she had to do was listen. They gradually got closer and Aruna began to open up to Nicole as time went by. They are really close friends that are able to tell each other almost everything, have midnight chats even though they have school the next day and help each other get out of trouble (Or maybe just Nicole). Nicole cares very deeply for Aruna and cherishes her a lot as a friend, willing to do anything for her best friend. They even attended the same university but obviously had different majors. While Aruna majored in law, Nicole majored in computer science. As of now, Nicole is currently working for a major tech company as a computer systems analyst.

✎ good friends / joshua le domas  / 34 / sweet, helpful, generous, loyal / muggle
Joshua Le Domas is a good friend of Aruna's, having met at law school. He was a year older because he took a gap year to explore his interests before going to university. They met during their matriculation ceremony and he was the first person to even initiate a conversation with her out of everyone else. They ended up hitting it off and Aruna was pleased to find out that they had many similar interests, such as Tae Kwon Do (Joshua was just starting out). The two of them regularly study together during their uni days and revise together for final exams. Nowadays, they do meet up occasionally for tea but sometimes they don't manage to because of how busy he is. He's currently working as a patent attorney.

✎ good friends / melissa wong / 31 / sassy, ambitious, witty, honest / muggle
Melissa was an international student from Singapore who came to Cambridge on a scholarship to study law. They met during a social gathering when the law students organised a house party for new freshies. Aruna hadn't want to go but Joshua persuaded her to go, promising her that they'd leave before 11pm. She just sat there quietly with her drink she didn't even want, observing the action from a distance. As she was contemplating just leaving silently, she felt a presence next to her. Melissa had heard of Aruna's reputation from some other law students, how she was the top student in her cohort. She figured she'd want to ask for tips on how to do well. A little annoyed at first, she wasn't going to say anything but Joshua had seen what was going on from a distance and gave her a little nod to at least humour Melissa. Melissa's questions weren't as stupid as she thought they were going to be, they were deeper and more well thought out than the usual questions asked. Much to her surprise, she actually got on pretty well with Melissa. A subtle friendship was formed that day. In a way, Aruna kind of became a sort of mentor towards Melissa and Melissa respected Aruna as a senior. Over time, they became friends and Aruna came to see Melissa as a younger sister of sorts. They keep in contact and sometimes call to inquire about each other. Right now, Melissa is a junior associate with a corporate law firm in Singapore.

OTHERS —

✎ ex boyfriend / christopher macdowell / 36 in 2018 but 34 when he died / friendly, romantic, giving, impressionable / muggle
When they were dating, Christopher was probably the most loving and the sweetest boyfriend anyone could ever have. He would sometimes surprise her at her office after work and take her to somewhere unique such as taking her to a drive thru outdoor movie date or a musical showing nearby. They would talk on the phone for hours and sometimes skype call even though they'd probably meet the next day. Aruna always felt most at ease around Christopher and he was the first person she really let herself become truly vulnerable around and trusted. After he died, Aruna grieved but has since buried all her feelings underneath a cool, harder facade. She still thinks about him from time to time but whenever she does so, she risks breaking and that's why she tries to not think about him anymore which is honestly not a very healthy coping mechanism.

— JACK ABBOTT.

FACECLAIM — Henry Cavill
BLOOD STATUS — Pure blood (His father is brothers with Hannah Abbott's father, which makes them cousins. His mother comes from a pure blooded Greek family.)

PERSONALITY

Jack Abbott is the sort of guy that the guys want to be friends with and the ladies want to be with, not because of his good looks (although that may or may not be a small part of the reason why) but rather because of his good nature. He's known to be very friendly and a respectable young man, always very easy to talk to and extremely warm to everyone. A man of adventure, Jack loves anything that can get his blood pumping and give him a real adrenaline kick such as duelling. He's courageous and never hesitates to put himself in danger's way just to protect others. Jack is serious in his work when he needs to be but otherwise, can be just as jovial and carefree around his peers. He is understanding and receptive to other people's needs and often puts others before himself.

However, he can be rather reckless and spring into action without thinking twice. He likes to act fast and although that may be good in certain situations, other times he should really learn to think before he acts. Jack is known among the other Aurors for being unpredictable. At times, his actions may completely seem out of character which can make some rather uneasy as to what his intentions are but people just have to trust him and know that he knows what he's doing. He's loyal to a fault but sometimes he can be quite possessive of his loved ones which may not bode well for some. Fun fact: In Hogwarts, he was sorted into Gryffindor.

— LOVE STORY.

RELATIONSHIP — Met already but not close.

THE STORY
They met when she was ambushed by dark wizards and witches on the way home from the Ministry of Magic after her interview. The dark wizards and witches have been planning the attack on the members for awhile now as soon as Minister Granger announced the plans for the Muggle Integration Initiative. Being a Muggle, Aruna is completely defenseless against magic. Even her black belt in Tae Kwon Do wouldn't be able to save her, so much for taking up self defense lessons. As they advanced forward, Aruna had mentally prepared herself to bolt but she knew deep within her that she stood close to no chance against experienced wizards and witches. All she was, was a mere Muggle. The wizard leading the pack smirked truimphantly, revealing a row of crooked and yellowed teeth. A flash of light emitted from the tip of his wand and Aruna closed her eyes, bracing herself for the worst.

'Stand back!' A deep voice shouted from behind her.

Before she knew what was happening, she was shoved aside and a tall, muscular man stoof in front of her, appearing to be facing off the pack of dark wizards and witches. Snarling in anger, the dark wizard shot another attack at the figure in front of her but the man had deftly and easily blocked the attack. There were about 6 of them against 1. If they looked smug earlier, they weren't now. Instead, their faces have turned pale and a flash of worry passed over their faces as they nervously drew their wand against the man. Simultaneously as if on cue, all 6 made an attack. The man didn't seem fazed, much to Aruna's shock. He merely deflected all of them with ease and directed an attack at the leader. It sent the dark wizard flying backwards, landing on the gravel with a loud thud. The rest began to fire down multiple attacks at once but it soon became clear to Aruna that they were clearly up against a very powerful wizard. As a Muggle, she was frozen stiff with shock. You don't see this everyday and seeing a duel happen right before her eyes was unreal. She began to realise the real danger she was in and briefly wondered if she'd made the right decision to join the initiative.

It wasn't long before the dark wizards retreated. They were no match for this wizard. After they disapparated, the man turned to Aruna who was still on the ground and held out a hand. She'd barely registered it until he gave an awkward cough. Coming to her senses, she gripped his hand and stumbled upright. She hadn't managed to get a good look at her saviour previously but now she did. He had warm blue eyes with a tint of brown in one of them and his dark hair was neatly styled. He had a very warm look to his face which made her feel a little more safe, in spite of everything that just happened.

'Thank you for saving me.'

'It's no problem. Are you alright, Miss...?' He looked at her curiously.

'Kandasamy. Aruna Kandasamy. You can just call me Aruna.' She replied with her head down, suddenly conscious under his gaze. She hated being stared down at.

'Right, Aruna. I'm Jack, Jack Abbott. Auror with the Ministry of Magic. You alright?' Jack asked with a hint of concern in his voice.

She stared into his caring, warm eyes and nodded hastily. Smiling with relief, Jack prepared to take off. Before she knew it, she called out after him.

'Is there anything I can do to repay you?'

Surprised, he turned back. Repay him?

'It's fine! You don't have to repay me anything. Just stay safe!'

'I insist. I would have lost my life if not for you back there. Have you had dinner?' And that was absolutely true. Who knew how dead she'd be if it weren't for him? The very least she could do was repay him, perhaps with a meal. She didn't want to owe anyone any favours anyways.

'No. No, I haven't.'

'Let me treat you to dinner then.' Before he could protest, she walked ahead of him, not hearing any word of objection. It wasn't a very eventful dinner they had, rather it was very formal. A pretty uncomfortable dinner actually. Jack had the feeling she wasn't the type to eat out with others a lot or someone who socialised often but he went with it anyways. As they finished dinner, she was preparing to head home when he stopped her. Cautious, she turned back to face him. He had a slip of paper in his hands. It was his number. Feeling confused, she'd stared at the paper silently without taking it which made him feel a little sheepish.

'Take it. It's my number. Don't get the wrong idea, it's just for security reasons. If you ever need help, you can call on me.' He gave her a warm smile, gesturing towards the piece of paper.

She didn't really know what to do so she just soundlessly accepted it and his smile grew wider. Normally, she'd hate to rely on others but it didn't seem like she had much of a choice this time. As he took off, she headed her way as well, fully planning to chuck the paper to one side hoping she'd never find a use for it. However little did she know, she would need it on a lot of occasions.

— THE INTERVIEW.

"SO TELL ME A LITTLE ABOUT YOURSELF" — 'My name is Aruna Kandasamy and I'll be 33 this year. I graduated from the University of Cambridge with first class honours and worked as a legal advisor for about 8 years.'

"HOW DID YOU HEAR ABOUT THIS POSITION?"'I saw the advertisement flyer on the bulletin board on the metro station and I thought I could be of help for this 'Muggle Integration Initiative' with my current skillset.'

"WHAT WOULD YOU SAY IS YOUR BIGGEST WEAKNESS?" — 'I think my biggest weakness is that I tend to be quieter and less outspoken compared to everyone else so I don't really make myself heard as much. I will however, speak up if I really have to.'

"WHY DO YOU THINK YOU SHOULD GET THIS JOB?"'I believe I have a deep knowledge of the law to be able to provide precise and accurate opinions on how new laws can be formed during this 'Muggle Integration Initiative' project. I can detect possible loopholes and errors in new drafted laws and possibly help by offering my legal opinion to the appointed lawmakers on how best to formulate a law that can benefit both the magical and non-magical community.'

"WHAT DO YOU HOPE THIS INITIATIVE WILL ACCOMPLISH?"'Long-lasting peaceful relations between Muggles and the wizarding community.'

— ANYTHING ELSE?

FAMOUS LAST WORDS — Hope you like Aruna! :) haven't done this in a long time but i saw hogwarts and just HAD TO.

SCENE SUGGESTIONS — TBA

PASSWORD — She'd probably find a job as a legal secretary and then try her best to work her way up once again.

Hey Jy! :D I can't PM you so I'm gonna drop this stuff down here if that's alright ^^
---
Cadi hums thoughtfully, flicking through Aruna's resumé one last time as the interview winds down. "That all sounds wonderful, and you have an excellent resumé." She comments. "I do have a small question, and don't feel pressured to answer, it's really my own curiosity. I notice here that you've been unemployed for the past year and a half, and I'm wondering why that is? It seems out of place next to the rest of your accomplishments is all." She smiles kindly. "Again, this isn't a required question, so only answer if you feel comfortable doing so."

Alright, I also have a few things to ask from author to applicant as well~ Though first off, a quick comment on Cadi's question: she kind of suspects that Aruna lost someone - Cadi lived through the war after all so she knows what mourning can do to a person - so she honestly will be fine if Aruna isn't ready to answer that!

Second I was hoping to talk with you a bit about Aruna's romantic interest. I'll be honest, I don't think she's in a place mentally or emotionally where she should be getting into a relationship; she's still mourning her ex-fiancé and rebuilding her own sense of self after all, and healthy relationships can only occur when *both* parties are individually whole people, which she definitely isn't right now. I'm definitely down to write about her and Jack embarking on an attempt at a relationship, but I wanted to warn you that I wouldn't be writing it as a *healthy* relationship. Rather, I think Jack is an unfortunate rebound for Aruna and I'd write the relationship as distinctly unhealthy for her and ultimately uncomfortable for him. If you're cool with that then I'm happy to use it as part of Aruna's personal growth arc, but if you'd rather I just focus on helping her grow on her own during the story then I can do that too! Jack will still be around either way, just in a different capacity depending on what you prefer ^^
