BACKGROUND
Lee Hana was born as the youngest child in her family our of 2 children. Hana's family was upper middle class family which was all due to her father hardwork as a lawyer while her mother was a housewife. Hana was the odd one within her siblings who were gifted with looks and intellectual. Her older brother, Lee Jaehyun had the looks and brain is going to following her father footsteps on becoming a lawyer. While her sister, Lee Sooyoung just like her brother with the looks and brain is studying to become doctor. Hana on the other hand, she looks pretty, but nothing like her sibling and her intellectual was average.
Growing up was not easy Hana as she was constantly compared to everyone around her. Her parents wonder where they did wrong with her when she comes home with grades that were not number one, because Jaehyun and Sooyoung got number one. her parents even got a tutor for Hana. Hana worked hard and she did showed progress and was top in her class but she was never number one which was not acceptable to her parents. If her siblings could do it why can't she too. Her sibling was no better, when they for not being like them. Being as cruel to telling her she was adopted that why she wasn't them. Even at school was no matter. Her sibling had made such a presence at school, students even teachers would wonder what happen to Hana. Hana did try her best to make the best with what she got. She study her off at school to make her parents hard, but her best was not her hardest when she not number one.
Hana didn't have much friends, she was constantly bullied at school as she was easy to pick on. Hana only escape to reality was books. Books was something where she can place herself in the main character footsteps and act on what goes on each chapter. She could spend hours just reading and be completely happy with that. Sometimes she would read family stories just so can escape her real family. Her family consider an outcast of the family has her nose is buried in books.
During her 2nd year of high school, Hana overheard classmates talking about an online websites for inspiring authors. It seem to spark her interest and she continue to listen secretly. Hana learned the site was an online website for inspiring authors to published their work for others to read. It the online version of a book. There was competition going on that the winner will have their work published from a well-known publishing company. Hana never thought of becoming an author before, but it made sense to her. She loved books and these authors wanted others to read their work. Hana always had a imaginative head, that day she worked over a month before the deadline was due. Hana called her story, " A girl who dreams" and wrote about a girl with big dreams to become adventure to finding the golden cup that was lost for centuries. A single sip from the cup grants a single wish of anything that anyone ever wanted. hana never expected to win the contest but she felt like her life was finally showing her the silver lining. Hana's publishing company just needed her parents approval to get her work published with them. Of course, Hana's parents were upset that Hana suddenly want to come an author. All the time she was typing her winning book, she could have been study. It took some convincing but Hana somehow got her mother to approved of it. Hana choose the penname Dream and published the book which become an instant hit. The only person that was excited for Hana was her editor, Miyoung who was assigned to her and her publishing company. her publishing company, soon sign exclsuive contract her to be an author for them. Hana actually got her mother to sign the paper, without her mom realizing it for her to be in the company. Hana never bother telling her family her accomplishment of her book being top ten in best selling. Even creating a two more volumes that got more attentions then the previous during the years in high school. Hana was even rewarded as up in coming author.
When Hana enter univeristy, her parents was not happy when she choose to major in literture. Even yelling at her for choose a worthless major, saying she can not have a future with a major like that. When she mention, she wants to be an author, her parent really know how to break her heart when they said what people will read her garbage . hana never mention the award she already recieve from her series. but Hana never mentions since what the point since it was not what they wanted. Hana 1st year in universisty she ended her series as she can't forever prolong the story and decide it was best to end it in good terms before taking on another project. After finishing her series, she took on another series after taking a short break. Hana always loved romance novels and she always wanted to write about one, so her next work was going to be romance. She wrote a story about princess and prince who was arrange to be married. Despite the princess in love with him, the prince wasn't in love but in fact in love her and only with her cause he the crowned prince. Hana thought she did good, but Miyoung and her company rejected her book claiming the whole story lacks alot. Miyoung claims she needs to experience a relationship to understand what love like. Hana the whole time was going based on what she read in novels. She never experience what to fall in love or be in a relationship
Hana discovered the rental company when she was visiting her editor, Miyoung's home. Hana was having trouble with her writing about love since the meeting discourage on how she going to write the story since she has no expeirnece in being in love.Hana soon asked Miyoung for advice till miyoung older brother, Wooyoung came in and overheard everything about Hana wanting to know more about love and what it like to have a boyfriend. Honestly the two siblings were like her family now because of years of Miyoung being her editor. Hana barely has any communication let alone relationship with her own sibling. She only see them on major holidays and emergencies. Miyoung and Wooyoung took her under their wings and gave her the sibling relationship she never had. Wooyoung happen to walk in on good time when he heard heard them talked and told her why not get a boyfriend herself. Hana herself thought about it and reject it. Who want to date her, she has no idea how to attract one let alone what it like to be in love. She never really thought of love unless it a romance novel. When Wooyoung heard her embarrased by the idea of attracting a guy, he gave her an old card of the company he used to worked at. Both girs were confused on how Wooyoung had this card and two of them put together how he got it when they figured he used to work there. However both of them were curious how wooyoung got fired since he no longer there. Wooyoung refuse to admit despite the girls pestering him. Hana at first was reluctant but she called the number and asked to set an appoinment. She didn't think she would do it, but the thought of what it like to have a lover filled her head and curiousity got the best of her, plus the ideas she can get from it might be helpful.

Before they offically started their fake relationship, Hana and Mingyu met at a small cafe to get to know each other a bit more before they begin their relationship. Mingyu asked her questions on why she decide to do rental company. Hana being honest told him the story f being an author. She admited she never had a relationship before and she wanted to write a story with romance, but she lacks the knowledge all of it and she hopping to gain an insight. Hana was nervous thinking Mingyu would poorly of her using this rental as a way to gain information for work, plus it just sad she can't just have a relationship of her own. In her own surprise, he was supportive and told her he would do his best. That smile when he said that got Hana heart racing and face turning complete red. Mingyu a bit but the two continue got to know each other, Mingyu showed her his work in photography which amazed Hana as she kept complementing him and Mingyu learn that Hana is the author Dream and he admited he read all her first series and was a fan which Hana thought she was in cloud nine when the boy admited he was a fan.
At the begining it was nerve racking for Hana when Mingyu started to hang around her. Mingyu was quiet popular in her university and the fact he was suddenly close to a no body got people questioning what the heck going on. Hana never expected this to happen all so soon, she thought it would slowly progress, but boy was she wrong. She was not use to a handsome boy walking her to class, waiting for during break even giving her treats her brought for her. Mingyu being the kind boy, helped her slowly get use to what it like having a boyfriend . Honestly, Hana thought she was dreaming cause seeing him treating her like a princess felt all good to be through. When people question why he was hanging with her, he was quick to defend that his girlfriend. Mingyu was the perfect boyfriend. She got so many ideas from the experience, at the end of the day she would spend the night typing up an chapter for her next novel.
It didn't took long for Hana to get use to Mingyu being her "boyfriend", every day that they meet, Mingyu treated her like a princess and it felt like a dream. Slowly, Mingyu helped her gain the confidence she needs and everyone around them can slowly watch hana coming out her shell and see the type of girl she is. Mingyu even caught himself staring at Hana. Eventually, Hana had to visit her family and have dinner. She brought mingyu along and he experience first hand how her family treated her. He learned why hana is as a person was due to her family. he watch the confidence she gained suddenly vanished when they comepared her and asked Mingyu why would he date a girl like her. Sooyoung was not shy to voice she be a better girlfriend than she is. No one was ever on Hana side till Mingyu finally stepped up for her. Quickly calling out her parents for treating her so poorly and to realize the accomplishment she is as an author. By the way her whole family doesn;t know she become an author just the fact she only won a silly contest. The two definately left them stunned when they left the dinner.

Staring into her eyes, she can no longer deny she loved this man and the day their relationship will end and it will kill her. Mingyu was her first love. She knows this relationship was fake , but she didn't expect to fall so deep. She knew she can never admit her feeling for him as it violates the rules from the company, so she kept quiet. She promise to carry the feeling to her grave as she doesn't want to create any more trouble for mingyu. day by day as the time together gets shorter, Hana anxiously dreads when the time will come to an end. She secretly prays for a miracle to happen, but for now each day is precious to Hana and she treasure each day she get to treasure with the man she love and her first love.
