(+) kyungjae is a strong dignified person. he will almost certainly know how to respect someone's silence, or better yet knows how to handle his composure very well under any given situation, that's why people can't help but to respect with his cool aura. everyone can atest that when someone is in need of protecting: you can run to kyungjae. it's almost natural for him to protect someone, even going as far as being by your side, sometimes a bit overprotective though whenever he can sense something is not right, his senses most of the time can come true but sometimes he's just paranoid and worried as hell, overall he will not let it rest until you're safe and sound if you confirmed it to him straight.

son kyungjae lived a fairly normal life. born and raised with a middle class family in jeju, kyungjae never really had any problems living there. his father is working diligently day and night at a accounting firm and his mother is a loving, warm housewife. along with his two younger brothers (sungmin and namjil).
kyungjae's family moved to seoul, south korea because of his father's work moving a lot, at that time kyungjae was a freshman. his college life is somewhat normal, if you're gonna count the times he got involved in college parties and late night club hoppings. it's the typical college life perse, nothing new in his life, just good friends, with lots of partying and drunk nights.
despite of what his lifestyle is, he studied hard to become a good, hardworking student. his father that time was struggling to pay tution for his two younger sons, so kyungjae offered help and took a part time job at a gym near his school. he got in because of his long time friend hyunwoo. the pay wasn't that much back then but he liked the job plus he can work out anytime he wants for free.
it doesn't take much time for him to love what he does for his job and actually wanting this a career, but his father was opposed of it. of course kyungjae being such a stubborn guy wanted to fight for his dreams, so he did, under one condition from his father: to continue his studies. reluctantly he did as what his father says and although quite a bit pissed he doesn't really complain either because there he met his soulmate -or so he thought- minji.
kang minji was one of his few classmates he belatedly knew when he's on his 3rd year of college. they got partnered up as project from one his assesments. the both of them knew that they were in love. they're just to shy to admit it.
fast forward when they got invited at a random party that's when kyungjae confessed (thankfully not drunk cause that would have been a disaster.) minji was of course shocked and happy at the same time. everyone at the party dubbed them as the party couple (no matter how much kyungjae hates it) because they actually got together in a party and thus every student in the department knew their budding romance.
they both dated for a month before becoming official, minji and kyungjae's relationship isn't something out of a fairytale but it's one of those relationships that you can't help but admire. they both knew trust more than anyone else in the world, they would fight yes, but along those fights came understanding and love, minji would always make kyungjae fluster. kyungjae would make this romantic getaways and dates for minji, it's a simple yet sweet relationship.

(+) if angels do exist it's in the form of haeri. ever since then haeri is always thought to be an angel in disguise in terms of her warm-hearted personality. sympathetic and kind, always out there if you ever needed some hand. the type who would never judge you at first glance and would initiate a friendly and warm response to you that you can't help but feel guilty even though you know to yourself that you have never done anything wrong. haeri would always give you a warm big hug even if you don't voice it out. something along those lines haeri is a good listener as well, she would listen to you talk all day without interrupting you whatsoever. likes to listen with the intent of making a person feel better even if it just silence between the both of you, she would accept it without any complaints.
every move haeri makes screams gracefulness. it's the way she carries herself without any preamble, the way she handles situations and everyday task, up to her fingertips all of it looks like something that can't make any mistakes. calm and forgiving can also go hand in hand in haeri's personality. haeri rarely does get mad, because of her calm nature and warm smiles she usually has on her face. but if you did something to even make her visibly upset she'll keep it inside not saying anything and let her emotions take over at some point, but in all honesty whether you did something so harsh to her she'll forgive you no matter what. although she wouldn't forget but will definitely forgive you for she knows everyone make mistakes.
(-) unfortunately with haeri's personality she often gets taken advantage and would always be obedient no matter what. it comes to a point where people would sometimes dubbed haeri as someone who can't even say no, and that's true but mostly haeri wouldn't notice because she likes catering to other people's need that much that she ends up being blindly-obedient. haeri can sometimes be absent-minded, would go as far as to zone out whenever she's thinking of too many things at once, nervous and upset. mostly her absent-mindedness would show when she's upset, moody, or nervous. she would often blank out more when surprised as well with the process of sometimes forgetting the environment around her. just like stated earlier, haeri is taken advantage of due to her kindness and because of this she has a soft-hearted attitude towards anyone even if someone doesn't deserve kindness. it's a weakness that haeri seems to be working on a lot especially if people are just with her just because she is "kind and would do anything the people would say." sometimes it would hurt her, but the habit of giving every person what they need has been stuck to haeri ever since.
background
haeri was born with complication onto the delivery which causes her to go in and out of the hospital as a child. she vaguely remembers when her mother told her about the stories of when she was born. her heart is beating in a abnormal pattern, this cause a concern between her pediatrician that she oftens visit the hospital more than her home instead. she discovered on her way to home that she has arrhythmia. though the type she has is not life threatening, haeri took a lot of caution with her lifestye. her mother would always calm her down with music, haeri would also avoid strenous activity when she is a child, often would go and play outside by walking. it's somehow sad to think as haeri just glance at the window. the restraining life she has is something she can't get used to. her mother is of course conflicted during those times. as much as she wants haeri to hang out and play like other kids do on their neighbourhood she just can't risk it somehow. she knows haeri's struggle with it and she only wish she can take the pain away. haeri is a gentle kid though and she would never blame her parents for what she is now. her childhood might on the comforts of her home but even if it takes her parents to calm her down then she'll gladly will take it.
and even though she's always inside all day, it's not all the time sad for her. she often goes to her father's study room (her father is a professor at a university) and would always ask him to tell her a story.
even though at such a young age, haeri took a liking to her father. she loves listening to his warm, deep voice whenever he's telling stories. often times her father would teach her how to read, write and study. as she was homeschooled at that time and can't go out.
to her, haeri's father is her one and only hero. someday she wants to be him. spreading the goodness in her world by teaching knowledge, reading and guiding each and every person of age. haeri knew each day with her father is such a blessing to her caged heart. her father is such a dignified man,a along with her mother they both care so much for her (as being the only child) and not just that, they teach her good lessons in life, even as a child all she hears is her mother's soft voice, her father's warm deep homely voice carressing her hair. life is simple for haeri even as if she feels like she can't go out anymore.
at the age of ten she's already approved to go to primary school, already improving in terms of health (though she takes medications all in all she's ready to take normal activities). of course at first she's a bit wary, and shy as well meeting new friends, perhaps it's the effect of almost being at home everyday of her childhood. she's been dubbed as the mute by some of her classmates which she doesn't take quite offence of because that's all she really is. it does continue until her 2nd year into primary school does she try to open up to her classmates. it took her a lot of courage but she did endured it. she talks now (albeit a little shy but now she talks to anyone, and is kind at that matter.)
haeri couldn't ask for more, really. she is satisfied with the way things are now, she's slowly healing herself and has some nice friends. her parents doing okay, finally can settle their heart for their only child that they love so much. they have a lot of struggles but mostly they overcome them. everyone's happy. but at the age of 14 when haeri is now a highschool student, her father passed away.
haeri remembers it vividly. how she goes home from school, her mother clutching the phone and crying almost to a point where the room is still and silent. haeri knew something bad has happened but when her mother utters the word she's so afraid to hear about, her world shatters so quickly she couldn't even save it.
heart attack was the cause of the untimely death. it isn't because of genetics, it just happens because of stress, work and between thosse times taking care of haeri. for months haeri blames herself for this, she didn't have it in her to talk to her friends and classmates. often would lock herself in her room and do nothing all day. her mother is quite concerned. haeri took it the hardest when her father passed away, she's basically back to square one when she's quiet, never seen outside her house ever again.
her mother is such a strong woman even with a tear stricken face, she saw the way her mother cries at the same time stood herself up perfectfly if times admits it. for haeri though it took a lot for her to go out and do normal things again. everday she would pay a visit to her father's grave. offer some nice candles and would talk to him like any other normal day. she still has regrets about the passing of her father. after all, she wasn't there when she heard the news. wasn't there when her father was admitted to the hospital almost immediately.
maybe that's why she took the job of being a teacher, especially to kids. she loves children, and loves taking care of them. somehow what her father left for her is something she would always be grateful for. everyone says she resembles her father's caring personality towards anyone. she enjoys her job very much and loves what she's doing. loves the atmosphere children can bring (although sometimes taking care of children and watching overthem can be a little bit tiring but haeri would forget it at the end of the day as she knows it's gonna be worth it.)
haeri is also known as the pretty florist down the street. every weekends, she would help her mother managing the flower shop. she develop the love for flowers because she was greatly influenced by her mother. she has a keen eye for flower arrangements, and how to take care of them. one of the customers of hers tries to take her to a show about weddings, knowing haeri she is inexperienced when it comes to relationship itself so she opts out. the customer though tries to convince her and haeri was most likely conflicted. what would come out of her life if she goes to a show about wedding and partners? she only has friends, her job, the shop as well. she even go as far as to consult yebin about this at the same time she remembers her father.

to her, haeri's father is her one and only hero. someday she wants to be him. spreading the goodness in her world by teaching knowledge, reading and guiding each and every person of age. haeri knew each day with her father is such a blessing to her caged heart. her father is such a dignified man,a along with her mother they both care so much for her (as being the only child) and not just that, they teach her good lessons in life, even as a child all she hears is her mother's soft voice, her father's warm deep homely voice carressing her hair. life is simple for haeri even as if she feels like she can't go out anymore.
at the age of ten she's already approved to go to primary school, already improving in terms of health (though she takes medications all in all she's ready to take normal activities). of course at first she's a bit wary, and shy as well meeting new friends, perhaps it's the effect of almost being at home everyday of her childhood. she's been dubbed as the mute by some of her classmates which she doesn't take quite offence of because that's all she really is. it does continue until her 2nd year into primary school does she try to open up to her classmates. it took her a lot of courage but she did endured it. she talks now (albeit a little shy but now she talks to anyone, and is kind at that matter.)
haeri couldn't ask for more, really. she is satisfied with the way things are now, she's slowly healing herself and has some nice friends. her parents doing okay, finally can settle their heart for their only child that they love so much. they have a lot of struggles but mostly they overcome them. everyone's happy. but at the age of 14 when haeri is now a highschool student, her father passed away.
haeri remembers it vividly. how she goes home from school, her mother clutching the phone and crying almost to a point where the room is still and silent. haeri knew something bad has happened but when her mother utters the word she's so afraid to hear about, her world shatters so quickly she couldn't even save it.
heart attack was the cause of the untimely death. it isn't because of genetics, it just happens because of stress, work and between thosse times taking care of haeri. for months haeri blames herself for this, she didn't have it in her to talk to her friends and classmates. often would lock herself in her room and do nothing all day. her mother is quite concerned. haeri took it the hardest when her father passed away, she's basically back to square one when she's quiet, never seen outside her house ever again.
her mother is such a strong woman even with a tear stricken face, she saw the way her mother cries at the same time stood herself up perfectfly if times admits it. for haeri though it took a lot for her to go out and do normal things again. everday she would pay a visit to her father's grave. offer some nice candles and would talk to him like any other normal day. she still has regrets about the passing of her father. after all, she wasn't there when she heard the news. wasn't there when her father was admitted to the hospital almost immediately.
maybe that's why she took the job of being a teacher, especially to kids. she loves children, and loves taking care of them. somehow what her father left for her is something she would always be grateful for. everyone says she resembles her father's caring personality towards anyone. she enjoys her job very much and loves what she's doing. loves the atmosphere children can bring (although sometimes taking care of children and watching overthem can be a little bit tiring but haeri would forget it at the end of the day as she knows it's gonna be worth it.)
haeri is also known as the pretty florist down the street. every weekends, she would help her mother managing the flower shop. she develop the love for flowers because she was greatly influenced by her mother. she has a keen eye for flower arrangements, and how to take care of them. one of the customers of hers tries to take her to a show about weddings, knowing haeri she is inexperienced when it comes to relationship itself so she opts out. the customer though tries to convince her and haeri was most likely conflicted. what would come out of her life if she goes to a show about wedding and partners? she only has friends, her job, the shop as well. she even go as far as to consult yebin about this at the same time she remembers her father.
probably because she misses her father's voice so much, or just missing him in general that she thought of going to the show. at the back of haeri's mind, relationship is kind of awkward for her at the moment. she was always dubbed as the prettiest in school yet she isn't the most sociable when someone confess to her or better yet ask her out. like she thought, she is awkward with relationships as she doesn't do any of those as well. but at the back of her mind she knows her parents would want haeri to have her own life. her mother even said so that if this is the way to explore life and to gain other relationships then she'll be alright with it as long as haeri enjoys it.
she knows it's bound to happen and while she is healing with her father's passing still, bit by bit she came to understand. she knows her father would have done the same thing as what she is doing as well. she knows she has to step outside the comfort zone she is used to. whether meeting friends or finding the one. she can't wait to finally experience something new.

• lee hyori (fc: lee ah hyun) / mother / 1969 (52) / being the only child in the family, haeri and hyori's relationship is as warm as their heart is. hyori would daily remind her to eat her food, take responsibility of haeri's health. sometimes haeri feels like she's been a burden for a lot of times due to her mother caring and she feels bad for it, but hyori knowing that she wants to do it is resilent and wants to do anything for her daughter to be happy. haeri loves her mother with all her heart though and would do almost anything to let her live her life comfortably as much as possible. they both would always talk every night after haeri is done with her shift at the flower shop. at some point she would visit her mom's house because she would like to help out with her small business and talk about her work and how she's doing these days.
