however, behind his sarcasm, lies a quiet boy who does nothing but work and work only. donghyun doesn't socialise that often as compared to his friends. i mean, it's a surprise that donghyun even has friends because he's just so quiet. he prefers to stick to himself because friends burden him and he doesn't want anymore stress in his life. during break time, donghyun would always be the only guy, either practicing or in the corner, holding his phone, awaiting for any messages from his parents or any updates on instagram. whenever you talk to him, he'll either ignore you because he did not hear you or because he simply just want to finish his work that he got lazy to answer something that isn't important. he would sometimes just block out the noises or just rush into his room if the others are just plain noisy.

growing up, donghyun led a pretty normal life. he was cherished by his parents as he was an only child and he was well liked by his classmates due to his outstanding looks and intelligence. at the age of six, donghyun found an interest in singing thanks to his parents, who were busy karaoke-ing in their living room. when he first held the mic and belted out notes that no normal tone deaf six year olds could do, donghyun knew straight away that he found his passion. from then on, he began to sing constantly, especially while he's in the bathroom.

many years passed and the now seventeen year old donghyun grew to be a music loving male. he was well known in school for his handsome features with an amazing voice. all his schoolmates knew of his existence, even when they've never been in the same class as him. just by the mention of "baek donghyun" they'll instantly think of the singing prince of their school. it was donghyun's dream to be on stage one day and do what he loves the most, and luckily his dream came true.

SM ENTERTAINMENT (2003-2009)

at the age of seventeen, while donghyun was coming home from school, a representative of sm entertainment came up to him and asked him to try and audition for the company. of course, donghyun being the passionate gentleman he is, agreed without hesitation. he heard all about sm entertainment as they were the homes of many legendary kpop groups that donghyun listened to. he couldn't just pass the opportunity, and hence went to audition. during his audition, he sang, danced and even rapped for a brief moment and well, the judges could see the potential in him, which made them accept the seventeen year old teen.

people might think that the boy had it hard during training, however, it was actually pretty easy. it was still hard for donghyun, but it was manageable. he was the one making things hard for himself. he would stay up late at night despite being dismissed by the trainer hours ago, just to touch up on his vocals as well as dance because he wants everything to be perfect. however, everyone loved him because he was good looking and was also talented, not only in singing and dancing, but in starting a conversation as well. people could see how well he treated the new trainees and how much he always helped them. people were even more surprised as to how he could maintain a good relationship when the new trainee gets to debut first. donghyun never complained and just kept a smile on his face which made the other trainees have this feeling that he would debut under sm.

however, that wasn't what happened. despite donghyun's constant smiles and jokes, deep down he just wanted to debut and make his family proud. he doesn't want to be a laughing joke. donghyun just find it hard, especially since sm's ceo favoured the other young and good looking trainees more than the mediocre trainees. donghyun could see how badly he treated the mediocre ones while he acted like an angel in front of the good looking ones and honestly, he was sick and tired of being ill treated. it's as though the sm ceo was just shoving to his face that he was only accepted for his looks and he hates inequality, which made him leave. trust me, it was the best decision donghyun had ever made because he knew that he wouldn't go anywhere in sm.

STARSHIP ENTERTAINMENT (2009-PRESENT)

even though he had left sm, his dream never left him. donghyun still wanted to perform, he wanted to dance and sing as though his life depended on it. thus, weeks after leaving sm, donghyun decided to audition in other companies like yg and woollim, but neither accepted him. donghyun was slowly beginning to lose hope, but right when he was about to lose his one last ounce of hope, the letter from starship came. donghyun was elated to find out that he was accepted to be a trainee under starship and he was super ready to relive his life as a trainee again, except this time he was going to shut himself out and work alone.

his time in starship flew quickly. similar to when he was a trainee in sm, everyone liked him. younger trainees look up to him and treated him like a god. he wasn't struggling in starship and was pretty much loved for his hardworking nature. this impressed everyone, including the ceo, which led to him getting picked to debut in a duo group with a male who would soon grow to be his best friend. together, the two created mayhem.

DEBUT (2011-PRESENT)

for donghyun, idol life was enjoyable because he got to do what he loved the most. he got to finally say "in your face" to anyone who had doubted him. when mayhem debuted in 2011, they blew up. many were surprised by how well trained the two were. not only that, many were not expecting such unique choice of fashion and song. oppa oppa wasn't what they were expecting from the two good looking guys. from then on, mayhem slowly grew in popularity and had managed to debut in japan as well.

almost everyone knew who they were due to them constantly appearing on variety shows like running man and let's go dream team. even when the two went on a two year hiatus to serve their mandatory military service, their popularity never once faltered. it only kept growing as fans hoped for their comeback.

however, erina is actually quick-witted. she is good at analyzing a situation and when it gets hard, she tries her best to bring the mood up, and it always happens during practice. due to her optimism, erina can bring a smile on ones face without even trying but when she does that, erina tends to read the situation before doing anything stupid. although, that don't happen when she talks. she is also very direct, she doesn't like to waste any time by giving stupid clues to people for them to guess her next words. no, erina however is straight to the point and would use her words as fast as bullets. her words honestly depends on the situation she's at, it can be sarcastic, hurtful or encouraging. now that you know erina, it's not a surprise that the girl would be super stubborn. she ony does what she wants and rarely listen to others because as said, she feels that depending on others is a burden. she tends to do things her own way and no one can talk to her about it. i suggest to never get into a fight with the said girl because being sarcastic, stubborn, aggressive and blunt in one go during a fight makes it impossible for you to win, especially when the person you're fighting with is as stubborn as erina.

erina had it hard in her childhood. having grown up in a foreign country, she was often bullied by the locals of her town in atlanta. they would make it ever so clear that she and her family weren't wanted and hurtful comments towards her and her brother while they were in school. she never had friends and could only rely on her twin brother, who couldn't do anything to calm his twin sister as they were facing the same thing. the jeon twins were always seen clinging onto each other whenever in school in fear of being alone with a pack of wolves. even when they were bullied, they had each other and that all that matters.

erina's parents knew what was going on at school but couldn't do anything. they tried but was shut down by the school due to being korean. moving was never an option for the jeon family as it was too expensive for them. the only option was for them to stay strong. the jeon family used any form of entertainment to cope with the constant stress coming from the town. erina in particular took an interest in singing after a game night with her family when she was only ten. she found it interesting, especially after finding out about her mother's obsession with turbo. she was intrigued and would often be singing whenever she's at home. her new passion was to become a kpop idol and to make her parents proud.

SM ENTERTAINMENT (2003-2009)

when erina turned fifteen, she heard that sm entertainment was holding global auditions and begged her parents for a chance to audition. her parents were supportive and so was her twin, who took an interest in boxing. she then took part in the audition and was more determined than ever. she wanted to make her family proud and due to her pure determination, the judges accepted her. they saw potential in her and would gladly accept her into their company. of course, leaving her family behind was an obstacle for her since she loved her family to bits and leaving them breaks her heart. of course, her parents told her to stay strong and not to give up right before she left to board the plan.

when she first started training under sm, she had a hard time coping. having been away from korea for nearly all her life, erina had troubles speaking the language and couldn't understand half of what the trainers would say. she would always be scolded for every single mistake she do but wouldn't even know what she did wrong. she lost so much energy during this period of time since she had to start dietting. not only that, she also had to juggle her school life since she was only fifteen years old. people could see how much the girl had lost weight along with how pale she had become. she almost gave up due to exhaustion but everytime she was close to, her parents voice would come into her mind. she would always remember the last words her parents told her before she left for korea, which only kept erina going. erina wanted to debut so much that she didn't mind how tired and worn out she was.

she trained for three years and within those three years, erina had seemed to have lost hope in ever debuting under sm. she had heard many told her that she doesn't fit in as a sm idol due to her weight and visuals. many trainees were poking fun to her as they knew she wouldn't make it in sm due to being different. they would manipulate into thinking that sm only accepted her because of her voice and that's it. unfortunately, the whispers and gossips got the best of erina, which resulted to her leaving the company.

YNB ENTERTAINMENT (2012-2018)

despite leaving sm, idol life was what erina yearned for. she wanted to live her life doing what she loved and shove it into her bullies face that she made it big and they didn't. she needed her happy ending, which was why when a representative of a new agency scouted her, erina did not hesitate to accept the offer and audition again. since the agency was a small one, they did not hesitate to accept a gem like erina and soon after that, erina began calling herself a ynb entertainment trainee.

training under ynb wasn't hard since she had already experienced what hell training was like while she was under sm but that doesn't mean it was easy as well. erina wanted to impress the trainers and ceo so she could land a spot in the debut lineup and well, she did. she was chosen to be in the lineup of fiore and from them on, everything was like a dream for erina.

DEBUT UNDER YNB (2012-2018)

after the debut of fiore, erina had began to live the life of a very busy idol. sadly, fiore's debut wasn't as popular or as hyped due to them being in a small company. however, they weren't unknown. quite a few know their music and are fans of them. people loved their cute songs but ynb didn't. knwoing that the girls are in debt to them, they began to abuse their power over the four girls. they forced them into doing concepts that four of them hated and began to manipulate the girls into doing photoshoots that weren't supposed to be shown to the public.

all of fiore's dignity went down the drain just like that. erina hated her life during this period of time because this wasn't what she wanted. many were bashing them for doing such overly y concepts that were banned on television. whenever erina went on variety shows, the hosts would ignore her or the editors would cut her screentime short just to prevent anymore controversy. netizens bash on her for being ty even though she would only talk to her male friends. everyone thought their concepts reflected them as a person but they were wrong.

after years of torture, erina the girls of fiore decided not to renew their contracts with ynb. they wanted out of the toxic agency, and finally got their freedom. despite leaving ynb, erina and the girls weren't ready to say goodbye just yet. they didn't want to disband and wanted to start a new life as the real fiore, but they had to. even though they wanted to live their life as an idol, they knew that they couldn't, especially with such reputation.

DEBUT UNDER P NATION (2019-PRESENT)

months after the announcement of fiore's disbandment, the truth began to come out. netizens were wondering about one of the most controversial girl group and had wondered what they have been up to since their disbandment. hence, the girls were interviewed and from then on, they spoke the truth behind their overly y concept. when the truth finally came out, everyone felt bad for them. they were angry at ynb for forcing the girls into doing something they didn't and began to openly support the girls. some were even hoping for their reunion.

one year after their contract ended with ynb, erina and the girls had gone their separate ways. erina was doing multiple jobs to gain allowance as both her parents and brother were in america. erina didn't want to fly back as she was ashamed. what would her parents say, knowing very well of the concepts their daughter was doing while she was an idol? erina couldn't face her parents.

well, while working, erina came across a male who she knew very well. he personally scouted her to join his newly made company, p nation and had said that he would want to re-debut all four members of fiore. he wanted the girls to show off their real potential and not hide behind such concepts. he wanted the girls to keep it real, which got erina intrigued. therefore, she agreed to sign with psy and his company, p nation.

after their re-debut, fiore, who was now renamed to pandora, finally got to show off the real them. they re-debut with a more fitting concept and no longer did an overly y concept. the girls finally got to shine and were given the love and support they needed. the girls now often spoke about their time in ynb and how it had affected them mentally and physically. they grew to be an inspiration to everyone. due to that, their popularity grew and they soon became known as the girl group who survived the abuse.

HOW THEY MET

the two met in 2012 during idol spots athletic championships. the two never talked to one another but had lotsssss of eye contact that range from awkward to relaxing. their eyes somehow fall to the other's figure even when they're in a deep conversation with someone else. it's as though there was a magnet pulling the two to talk to one another, but they didn't.

that is, until idol sports athletic championships 2014 came about. donghyun and erina were scheduled to work together alongside their groupmates for the mixed 4x100m relay. from then on, the two began having small talks, resulting to the exchange of phone numbers.

HOW THEY LIKE EACH OTHER

after isac 2014, erina found herself thinking about donghyun almost everyday. she would always find herself asking questions about his well being and would end up giggling or smiling unknowingly. it was pretty obvious that the girl was smitten over the male due to her always anticipating for his calls or text. erina soon realised that she was attracted to the male who she can't seem to forget.

what about donghyun? well he only saw erina as a friend at that time. yes, let me repeat, at that time. his feelings grew only after seeing erina in let's go dream team season 2, in which she won the girl group wrestling special in early 2015. she stole his heart right when she showed the pure determination she had. his heart unknowingly skipped a beat whenever she appeared on screen which made him realise that he likes her more than a friend.

while donghyun was serving his mandatory service, the found themselves yearning for one another. erina would find herself visiting him almost whenever she's free and would always find herself grinning like a maniac at the sight of him. he was her pillar of support while she was going through some rough time with ynb. donghyun knew of how ynb was forcing her group to perform ually and would always be the one telling her to stay strong as her family is far away. this only made erina fall for him more and more. seeing her in such vulnerable state honestly hurt donghyun, which was why he promised himself to always make her happy.

HOW THEY GOT TOGETHER

soon after donghyun was discharged, the first person he contacted was erina, asking her for a hangout to which she agreed. the two ended up catching up in donghyun's apartment, having dinner and just having heart to heart conversations. erina was so caught up in the moment that she accidentally spilled her deepest darkest secret, and that was her feelings for the thirty one year old male. this shocked the both of them and while rina was trying to put those words back into , donghyun then told her his feelings and asked her to be his girfriend, to which she said yes. hence, the two started dating.

THEIR SECRET LIFE

having dated in secret for three years, erina and donghyun were pretty skilled in making their relationship private. not many suspected that they were in a loving relationship, which only made things easier for them to sneak around. the only few who knew were pandora, woohyuk and their agencies. whenever they were asked about their love life, they'll answer with a "no comment" while wearing an innocent smile. fans never pushed to ask further because they didn't really care much, which only made life easier for the two of them.

GOING PUBLIC

however, the two eventually got tired of hiding around. donghyun wanted to flaunt his relationship with the girl of his dreams and so did erina. the two had discussed about going public when erina visited donghyun in his apartment and both agreed to go about it. hence, the two did just what they had to do.

before going public, during donghyun's appearance in i live alone, many fans noticed something odd in his house. by odd, they meant that they saw girl clothes in his closet as well as girl necessities in his bathroom. this sparked fans to become curious whether or not he was living alone, but they never put much thought into it. well, they should've as soon after when erina visited his home during an episode in mayhem's reality show. of course, many would think that it's a friendly gesture but what donghyun said during the show was what shook the whole fandom. he addressed erina as jagiya while erina addressed him as baby. this then brought attention to almost everyone, who also brought up about the things found while shooting for i live alone.

soon after that, donghyun and erina formally confirmed that they were in a relationship for three years, which had fans jumping up to their feet while squealing.

the two try their best to not show off their lovey dovery-ness in public. whenever they have a schedule together, they'll always smile on stage and wave to one another despite everyone knowing that the two are together. whenever they get asked about their partners while they're shooting, they'll always grin while lovingly expressing their feelings for their partner. many people the two together but of course, anti-pandora fans are always quick to attack erina. hence, the reason why they would sometimes distance themselves while on stage.

it's surprising how off stage, they're very different compared to when they're on stage. the two get awfully cosy once their off camera, snuggles and cuddles here and there along with makeouts and random flirting. they get awfully comfortable without a camera being shoved up their faces and many could see that. only their closest friends can see how different they act, which sometimes worry them, but that's how erina and donghyun like it. whenever they're alone, they get touchy with one another and end up making out, which could escalate to more...
