when one ends up meeting anneliese koo for the very first time, one would believe that with such soft features that she may be rather shy and frail—oh boy they were wrong. in fact, she's one social butterfly who loves to connect with others and converse about several different topics with one immediately having the assumption about her flair for the arts and aesthetics. she barely has any difficulties adapting herself to different situations and people. many find her absolutely charming (or rather perplexing at times) with the rather unconventional way she may view the world around her. she's a rather free and untamed spirit as her family and friends would describe her, a bit of a wildchild even. ever the curious type, she's one who likes to gather as much knowledge and experience as possible although at times it seems as though she may drown from it all. she is curious about everything and what's more fun and interesting than to know what is going on with those around her public and private? she doesn't really do it much at all for the entertainment for honestly, she tends to be genuinely concerned of others' feelings and honestly do want them to be okay although she may sometimes be oblivious to how maybe she is the one who may be the cause of certain sentiments.

 

perhaps it has been the way she had been raised or a different factor but one tends to find anneliese indulging herself into whatever she pleases, barely paying much mind to the consequences—if she sees it and wants it, oh, there is no doubt that she will get that thing and maybe that may be the reason why she is not the best at financing. she's the type who more often than not would put her wants first before her needs but she could easily argue that her wants are definitely needs. anneliese koo has always been the confident girl but she almost always has to be reminded that 'things are great in modesty' and that involves one's capabilities and such. anneliese very much values herself greatly but her ego goes through the roof! she knows that she's pretty, she knows that she's also smart and talented—why should she doubt it? and why is it so wrong for her to believe that she is better than some others when it is true? she worked hard to reach such a level. she can sometimes irritate others by how she likes bragging about herself. if there's an opportunity to talk about herself, she'll do it. she had always been warned that hubris may be her downfall one day.

 

anneliese is one passion-driven girl and if she has a goal set, she will aim to achieve it and can be rather the opportunist at times. rather than thinking and theorising, she is a practical, hands-on kind of girl for one can't achieve anything if you don't take the initiative. she is also one that can be heavily driven by her emotions, rather sentimental as well as reactive—hiding her thoughts may be one thing but even if she tried, it's rather difficult for her to hide her emotions. most would say that with a passion like hers, the impossible could perhaps be possible and the key word in this would be 'could' for if there's something that sometimes would fail her reaching certain goals of hers, it would simply be the fact that she tends to be prone to suddenly losing interest for very small reasons such as how she had just gotten bored one day and thus could be considered a jack of all trades, master of none in a way. yes, she is susceptible to sudden changes of mood and behaviour so much that it is just a surprise that she does have things that still piques her interest in to this day. it simply is a challenge to please the young woman with her even picking at the littlest of details. to conclude, anneliese saeron koo is one rather dynamic young lady but as much as she may be adored by friends and family, they do sure hope that as she gets older, she matures and becomes more responsible...

 

both her maternal and paternal grandparents had ended up moving to germany as 'gastarbeiter'—technically, for work as nurses and engineers during the early 60s in which was expected to only be temporary from what had been in their contracts and all but they somehow ended up finding themselves staying with her parents having been born and raised in germany. her parents had met whilst in university and had dated since their first year and at the start of 1990 had gotten married and by the end of that year had given birth to a boy named leon then in 1992 another boy named lukas. the couple were then blessed with the birth of another child in 1995 and they were honestly surprised to have found the baby to be a girl and this was honestly due to how her father's side, for around who knows how many generations. they were so sure that the baby was going to be a boy that they didn't even want to know the gender during check-ups and such but despite that, she was definitely a much welcomed surprise and boy, she was very much treated like a lovely princess. she was named anneliese but to fit in with the whole 'l' names thing with her siblings, her family would use and go by 'liese'.

 

growing up, especially up to her pre-teens, it was a "whatever liese wants, liese gets" and she had always loved being the centre of attention and hearing the many praises she would get from her family. she really didn't like being left out of things and if she saw her siblings or cousins doing something, she'll want to do it too. she was often ill as a child so when she was up and running, she really did like being involved and active as well. when leon suddenly started having piano lessons, she cried about wanting to do it and had lessons alongside him; when lukas received an art set, she cried about how it was unfair for she liked art too and the following week, she received an art set too; and when she saw her cousin looking like a fairy with her tutu and learnt that she had been enrolled into ballet classes, she whined to her family about it and pleaded to be enrolled into it as well are just some examples. whilst even spending the weekend with her grandparents, she witnessed them playing some card games and insisted that they teach her and let her play and that, ladies and gentlemen, was how she learnt how to gamble at a very young age. honestly, she showed talent and potential in those fields but she was quite a terror especially amongst her siblings but their family reassured them that she'll eventually grow out of it. her rather spoilt behaviour died down by quite a lot due to the birth of another sibling when she had been 12 years old, a little brother named leo.

 

from a young age, anneliese had already planned out what her future would be like—she was to study hard and well to go to prestigious university, get a high-paying and reputable job like one of a lawyer's and marry herself to a man who was smart, kind as well as rich and perhaps have three children; well, part of that is her back-up plan. in fact, her dream was to delve into a successful career in the field of the arts and be adored greatly by many. she has shown an affination towards it since very young particularly in the fine arts, acting and singing which she enjoyed so much, often supported by how anneliese would always take part in her school's yearly plays or musicals or how she would submit her own art work (and sometimes literary work) to many competitions. honestly, just about everyone in her school and perhaps her hometown knew or has heard of the young anneliese koo.

 

during the summer of 2011, her family had flown to korea for the very first time and during one of those days when anneliese and her older brothers were allowed to venture off on their own, they had been approached by a woman who was saying things in which anneliese could barely understand with her siblings just as confused whilst they were going around myeongdong wanting to try out a lot of street food. the woman realised that they weren't exactly from korea and asked whether they knew english to which they understood and so she then repeated what she had previously said in english and that was when they had realised that the woman was a talent scout for an entertainment company and anneliese was ecstatic. it was a company called bighit ent. in which she was unfamiliar with but nevertheless, excited. honestly, anneliese was ready to take up the offer and follow the woman to where the supposed auditions were to be taken place but before anneliese could get anything out of , her brothers declined. nevertheless, the woman still gave them her business card in case they may change their minds. one can say that she had a little bit of an argument with them. she ended up discussing about it with their parents with her wish of auditioning and they said no. for once, they didn't succumb to their princess' desires. a lot of negotiating had been done for them to let her audition in which they eventually agreed to. she auditioned successfully and from there, the road to her fulfilling her dream as a performer was only just starting...

 

01 other than kimbap, ramyeon, samgyupsal, jjimdak and galbitang, anneliese isn't too fond of korean food. in fact, during her free time, she likes going to the itaewon and noksapyeong area to eat other cuisines—she especially loves sushi. on the other hand, she loves eating korean desserts such as bingsu, hoddeok and bungeo-ppang.

02 a globetrotter—filled with wanderlust. she loves talking about the many places she had been able to go to on holiday with her family. she won't stop talking about the famous sites, the many museums and galleries as well as the varied cuisine that she had tried.

03 anneliese is quite the bookworm but recently has gotten a guilty pleasure for webnovels, webtoons and manhwas. it's most probably the reason behind why she ends up sleeping so late.

04 anneliese has an obsession with journalling and sketching which has led to her having an abundant collection of notebooks, journals, washi tapes and other supplies. every single time she goes out, she always ends up having bought something to add to her collection.

05 more often than not, you will always find her with a tote bag and without fail, would always have: a pencilcase of pens, pencils and highlighters, small notebook, journal, planner, phone, charger and powerbank, hand sanitiser, wallet, paracetamol, lip balm and lipstick, glasses, phone and earphones to name a few.

06 she would say that her two most favourite hobbies include café hopping as well as museum-hopping. shopping comes really close to it.

07 her love for winnie the pooh is immense. rooted from way back when she was a baby, from the very moment she received her very first teddy, a winnie the pooh one at that which she is still inseparable from to this very day. she often hugs the bear to sleep.

08 whenever she hears something rather idiotic or farfetched, she has this habit of raising an eyebrow before slightly rolling her eyes.

09 anneliese also has this habit of mirroring someone's tone of voice and rhythm when speaking with them, for example: if someone's speaking low and monotously, she'll change her voice slightly to match it. she doesn't realise she does this.

10 one can find her having multiple naps within a day which pretty much ruins her sleeping schedule at night. other than that, she sleeps extremely easily in places and vehicles such as cars and planes.

11 anneliese fears insects particularly those that fly, and yes, that includes things like ladybirds and butterflies which people tend to be generally fond of. one would never find her window in the trainee dorms to be open for she fears they may enter. she tends to scream at the sight of them and would sometimes be on the verge of tears.

12 autum > winter > spring >> summer. that would be how she would order the seasons of the year. summer is too hot for her to handle, spring triggers her hay fever, winter can be unbearably cold and slightly dangerous due to the snow and ice but autumn in her opinion is just right.

13 most of the time, she honestly does not understand korean comedy and doesn't find it funny especially when most of the material she finds are a bit too slapstick like america's. honestly, she prefers classic dry, dark humour. for someone who seems so positive, she has quite an obsession for things that are sad, dark and angsty which comes through in her choice of literature, songs, writing, art and more.

14 she and her family are catholics and they had been rather devout, attending mass and praying regularly, when anneliese had been around 12, they just haven't done those things as often and such with the family maybe better off being labelled as 'cultural catholics'.

15 anneliese takes an incredibly long time in the bathroom showering which had often led to arguments between her and her siblings or dorm mates.

16 she has a beautiful scottish fold back in germany named mieze.

17 she would honestly cry if she ever has to get her hair cut short. she honestly hates short hair on a lot of girls. when she had been a child, she often cried whenever her mother went to get a haircut and how the short hair had made her mother ugly.

18 what still shocks her to this day since coming to korea would be the 'aegyo'. it's honestly quite embarrassing and rather odd. plus, she's already quite cute so why should she have any need to do 'aegyo'?

19 despite being left-handed, she plays a right-handed guitar. aside from piano lessons, she also had guitar lessons.

20 when trying to hold herself back from getting angry or breaking down into tears, or even when she is nervous, she tends to make deep sighs whilst digging her nails into the palms of her hands.

21 a huge exo-l. from the very moment teaser pics and videos were released, she became a fan and would probably die on the spot if she were to meet them in person or go to a concert.

22 since moving to korea to train, she had been studying in an international school and afterwards, have managed to get accepted into kyunghee university to do law and have been attending regular classes on top of training but if she were to debut, she would switch to kyunghee's cyber university to do online classes/courses.
