astrid gyeong became the youngest and last child of her family on the twenty-first of february in london, england with her birth not having been a smooth one with her mother having gone through some complications such as her having been premature. her parents were more concerned with their jobs and she and her older sister, scarlette were left under the care of their maternal grandparents, living within the expensive district of belgravia where she and her sister had been doted on greatly by them especially towards her due to how she was so prone to being ill when she was younger which caused her sister to become extremely jealous of her and subsequently led to many times where she would be screamed at and hurt by her or getting into quarrels which pretty much upset her but their grandparents would often come to her rescue however, scarlette's dislike of astrid increased due to how she was the one who would be scolded at whilst astrid would get the comfort, treats and all.
the gyeong sisters' parents would have the occasional video call with them or they would briefly come and take the whole family on holiday abroad. when she was around seven years of age, both mother and father decided to have more time for their children and thus they moved back to london and had her and her sister reside with them from now on, their home being close to their grandparents'. one would think that being with their own mother and father would be all happy and exciting but she quickly came to realise that the parents she knew from communicating through video calls and holidays she spent with them happened to have been some sort of façade. her parents weren't truly happy with each other. she had quickly understood why her grandparents were so hesitant on having her and her sister leaving to live with them.
they wouldn't stop fighting and she never thought that she would be more happy whenever they would have to go on a business trip again (etc.) her nights were filled with screaming, accusations from her mother on how she believes that he is cheating on her with someone as well as how he seems to be "miserable" with the family yet would be all jovial with his friends and colleagues whilst her father would point out how she's being so insecure, how she also doesn't spend much time with her and her sister (etc.) which often results in a hard slap from her mother to her father which silences the house. astrid would often wake up finding her father either having slept in one of the guest rooms or on the couch in their living room. her parents' frustration and resentment would often be put on her and her sister with them becoming extremely irritable at the little mistakes they would sometimes commit or would just complain about their spouse to them. somehow, it had led to her immediately crying upon impulse whenever someone, particularly family, would start shouting at her. thankfully, she has got a bit more control over it nowadays but it still had not disappeared.

astrid gyeong's father, gyeong hajoon, is the ceo "mode models management", a modelling agency well-known across asia whilst her dear mother, lee minjung, happens to be a famous actress in korea as well as a wealthy socialite whose family happens to own "elite air", one of the top internationally renowned and acclaimed airline companies around the world since the mid-1940s when it had first established. sure, her father's company may be successful and wealthy but her mother's side of the family are practically considered "royalty" in korea. their homes often having some resemblance to a palace particularly the interior design, often having a european style to it which is seen in some of their many estates across the world, for instance: france, switzerland, japan (etc.)
astrid spends quite lavishly often due to her hobby of collecting memorabilia and such being expensive and her having to add more clothing to her wardrobe, often having two of each clothing just in case one may end up being damaged, similar to how she has a spare iphone however, her current phone has remained in tact. also would she purchase pieces to decorate the house she's currently living under during her stay in korea. some of her money is also spent treating some to meals and gifts. she owns a number of credit cards but she only really needs one and that's her centurion card. despite being quite a big spender, she also happens to be a big giver to different organisations and charities, an action in which her mother's side is well-known for doing, and one of the reasons behind her doing that would be due to how she feels guilty spending so much yet there are people around the world who would be content with being given some food or something—her childhood with her grandparents occasionally taking her to homeless shelters (etc.) have impacted her deeply.

SCHOOL LIFE —
the whole of aejung know who she is and those who don't are often considered to be living under a rock with her being one of the richest students and being one of the most beautiful and smartest girls with so many people admiring and flocking over her with many girls wanting to be her and many boys wanting to be with her even with that little scandal she had been put into by a certain student within the golden circle who framed her for being the reason why her boyfriend had broken up with her with the student having "claimed" that her boyfriend had some secret affair with her. the situation was just absurd to astrid. it doesn't seem to hinder her popularity in any way though.
her day is never complete without a guy or two attempting to woo her into having a date with them. the attention she receives can sometimes be overwhelming and sometimes intimidating. the public often sees her spending time with a small number of people but mostly, it would be sehun, her "nanny's" son who shares the same schedule as her. she doesn't really do much extra-curricular activities however, during winter, in the pyeongchang campus, she tends to be more active with her taking part in winter sports such as skiing and skating, something in which she is skilled at from the many holidays she had spent with her family up in the alps (etc.)
as for her studies, her parents did tell her to maintain good and high grades but even without them telling her that, she would try and do exactly that since bad grades is something she can't tolerate thus why one would find her either being within the top 10 or 20 in her exams however, assignments tend to be a different story. majority of the time, she will hand it in on time but there are times where she doesn't bother and would make up some sort of excuse as to why she doesn't have it and then promise that she will hand it in or e-mail it to them as soon as possible, the latest hand-in she have ever given in being a month late.
