APPEARANCE

nikolai is definitely noticed for his tall height, most of it coming from his long model legs. though at first glance, you first notice is that he's actually pretty lanky like a tall noodle, but on a closer look, he's much more. underneath his clothes holds a muscular body that is kept up with daily workouts. he's pretty ripped.

  

his face seems almost perfect, making tons of people question whether he had plastic surgery or not. he hasn't answered any of those kinds of questions, but honestly, he was just born this good.

nikolai's ears have been pierced multiple times, barely keeping track with just how many piercings he has got in them. he also has a piercing through the right one which is arguably his favorite piercing. niko has a total of six tattoos that are easily hidden: back of neck, behind right ear, left collarbone, inside of left wrist, right hip, and inside right ankle.

his wrist tattoo is actually the kanji for makoto, but it can also mean sincerity, which is how he explains the tattoo when asked about it.

SOLARIS STORY

smooth and persuasive, niko can blend in easy just like the beginning of his melody. he has the other members under his thumb, easily. just a simple snap of his fingers and he can destroy them all. but he doesn't. it's not time yet. he continues to rope everyone together, camoflauging his desires to watch them all crumble down. as much as he wants to watch everything fall to his feet, he also enjoys watching the others think nothing is wrong, like everything is okay. so niko will keep it that way, until one day ... one day, he will watch their world burn.

TRAINEE LIFE

first coming to sm, niko knew he was accepted only for his looks. it wasn't like he had any special talent, even he knew that. he used his untalented self to learn new skills, pushing himself to watch other trainees and idols so that one day he could be on their level.

it was definitely hard learning though. his muscles ached, his throat burned, but he continued to prevail. he rushed through, learning whatever he could learn. but through his learning, niko found a interest in dancing and latched onto it. he payed more attention to his dance instructors than his vocal instructors, soaking up the lessons they could give him.

even though he found his love for dancing, sm only wanted him for his face. they continued to push for photoshoots, which don't get him wrong, he loved the photoshoots, but he wanted more. he wanted to dance too.

as the rumors of nct started floating around the company, niko thought this could be his chance.

SWEET BOY　makoto is a sweet boy, that much everyone can agree too, but this nickname is exclusively used by niko. it's something that he has always called makoto and he continues to call him as such.

KOTO　a short and simple nickname that everyone calls him.

PERSONALITY　

makoto is an actual ball of sunshine. he lights up any room he walks into. his smile is definitely contagious and it's considered illegal to make him frown. he has big dreams and imagination, hardly anything ever brings him down.

his optimism is one of his best attributes, helping to keep those around him from getting down. because of his bright personality, he can be quite childish and naive. he does get pushed around a lot without him even knowing.

LOVE STORY　

nikolai and makoto met as trainees at sm entertainment. makoto was already a trainee for sm, having been with the company since he was a child.

you could say that it was love at first for nikolai as he was already comfortable with his ual orientation at the time. and how could you not love makoto? all he did was smile and nikolai was done for.

makoto was very much still a child. so instead, nikolai proclaimed himself as makoto's protector, making sure no one would use him for evil purposes (essentially pushing away any trainees who wanted to bully the precious kid).

though it didn't take long for their love to blossom. with nikolai's overly affectionate skinship and makoto's awakening uality, niko was quick to confess once makoto was eighteen and the rest is history.

and despite nikolai leaving sm and transferring to sunlight, his and makoto's relationship is still going strong.

these two idiots are so in love that it hurts. they are super lovey dovey whenever they see each other or talk to each other. it just never stops! snuggles and cuddles are mandatory with these two, you'll always see them hanging off of each other. they bicker on the occasion, but they are too in love to really be angry at each other for too long.

but that's just their relationship in public really. when no one's looking, their love gets bigger and a bit more ... heated. lovingly heated gazes, kisses, you name it. makoto is still getting used to the heated stuff, but nikolai wouldn't do anything makoto is uncomfortable with.
