with her striking stature and cool gaze, im seolah tends to grab the attention of people at the first glance. they naturally gravitate towards her, thinking she'd be a good friend to have. unfortunately, seolah isn't the kind of girl who would go out of her way to introduce herself and socialize with everyone in a room. while she doesn't mind meeting new people, seolah finds maintaining several friendships draining. she enjoys her own personal time/space and may feel trapped if people overwhelm her. seolah prefers to keep a small, tight group of friends, rather than having multiple groups, since she can fully emotionally invest in that little group. because of this, seolah is prone to being possessive over her friends as her social circle is limited. she's slowly trying to be more open-minded about this matter however.

from a young age, seolah has been taught by her parents to stand up for herself. she is the person who will fight back if there were injustice against her or someone else. even though she may lose in some situations, seolah doesn't want to regret not speaking out in the moment. she would confront someone or something if it means resolving the conflict, though there are times when she is selective of the issues she wants to face. seolah is fiercely protective of the ones she loves and will not hesitate to hunt down whoever dares to hurt them. since she grew up as the eldest child in her family, seolah is used to taking on a caring role. she is always willing to listen to her friends' problems and be the shoulder for them to cry on. however, be prepared to hear some frank words if you ask her for advice.

seolah is incredibly good at handling situations under stress. deadlines do not faze her, which is why she is usually able to get things done quickly without any little worry detering her. she likes to keep things organized and even has her daily schedule written down in a planner. she is incredibly disciplined in her own lifestyle and strives to maintain her organization as she takes pride in it. if events were to unexpectedly occur, seolah keeps her cool, as she believes panicking will only lead to irrational decisions.

during variety shows, seolah tends to be overshadowed by the more extroverted lunation members since she is less willing to act like a complete dork on camera. luckily, she still catches the attention of fans due to her talents and charming stage presence. there are so many times when she wants to talk back to rude fans or tv hosts, but knows she has to keep it calm or else she'd be in trouble with bighit's upper management.

 

BACKGROUND
seolah was born as the eldest child to a high school teacher father and a cello teacher mother. two years later, seolah's younger brother seojun arrived. seolah first started taking cello lessons from her mom, but something else had caught her eye (much to her mother's disappointment). a video of whitney houston had inspired seven year old seolah to try out singing. seolah spent her elementary school days in her school and church choir.  her teachers realized she had the talent and recommended her parents to send her to a proper vocal teacher. 

when she was eleven, seolah came upon a video of super junior and was impressed by their strong dance skills. she began participating in her school's dance club and enjoyed it as much as she did in her singing lessons. she and seojun would spend hours listening to k-pop groups like big bang and snsd with their eyes wide with wonder. two years after her first introduction to k-pop, seolah decided she wanted to be an idol. with the support of seojun, seolah secretly recorded a video of herself singing alica keys' "no one" and sent it to the entertainment companies. sm, jyp, cube, any she could think of.

out of all the companies she auditioned for, only big hit accepted her. while seojun and her mother were thrilled, her father was a little more reluctant to let his little girl go. he knew she was talented, but he was also afraid that she would waste her youth waiting to debut. after a few hours of pleading from seolah, he consented, but under one condition - if she didn't debut by the time she was twenty one, she had to pursue something else.

many people forget seolah and seojun are siblings because they seem more like friends. even while growing up, seojun was never the pesky, annoying younger brother who bothered his older sister. seolah tends to dote and baby him, which makes him roll his eyes, but he secretly treasures the little moments when she is able to visit him. he never fails to send a daily encouraging text message to her and does his best to cheer her up whenever she's down. 

when lunation debuts, seolah fights to keep seojun's identity a secret, because she doesn't want online trolls to bully her precious baby brother's disability.

 

 

when the new female trainees arrived in 2012, seolah's attention immediately went to the tiny girl called choi jueun. she seemed so soft that seolah wanted to scoop her up and protect her. at the time, seolah thought she considered jueun as a younger sister, but one night after rehearsing together, she felt butterflies in her stomach. ever since then, seolah gets warm and fidgety whenever jueun talks to her or hugs her. she had hoped this little cursh would fade away, but her love for jueun grows stronger each time they are together. 

 

her whole world comes crashing down once she learns jueun has her heart set on someone else. seolah never expected them to be together, but it still stung to see jueun's eyes light up at the mention of the other person's name. despite this, seolah continues to hang with jueun. some would say she is torturing herself, but she doesn't want to distance herself from jueun. for now, seolah puts on a show, smiling at jueun like nothing ever happened, while her heart breaks inside.

 

 

since both seolah and jungkook were considered triple threats, the trainers often pitted them against one another. a nasty rivalry of who is better could've started, except the two weren't that kind of people. they began training together outside of class and soon struck a solid friendship. from late night talks to vending machine runs, the two are inseparable. although seolah was pricked with jealously when jungkook debuted before her, she tried to brush it off. after all, she should be happy for her best friend. she used jungkook's success to push herself to become a better performer.

 

until she discovers jueun is crushing on hard on jungkook, leaving her devastated. the only girl she's ever truly fallen for has gone to jungkook, her best friend who always manages to beat her in something. it just seemed so damn unfair to her. jungkook is stunned when she begins giving him the cold treatment, but doesn't confront her and respectfully stays away. he assumes that she is upset from big hit neglecting the girls due to bts's growing popularity.

 

 

during her first year as a bighit trainee, seolah took notice of the two top male trainees in their rap class and decided to ask them for help. while namjoon was welcoming towards seolah, yoongi was more cautious. upon hearing that seolah was from daegu, yoongi took a liking to her and they bonded over home. the two boys began helping seolah with her rapping and never hesitated to give her honest (sometimes brutal) feedback, which she appreciated so much. the trio had even snuck out to attend underground rap battles. after the two debuted in bts, it became harder for seolah to see them, but they still continued to text each other. namjoon nags at her like the loving older brother, and yoongi likes to tease and be sarcastic with her, sometimes playfully trash-talking her rapping. 

yoongi and namjoon have never felt anything more than fond, platonic love for seolah, though the same can't be said for hoseok...

 

 

seolah and hoseok met shortly before bts debuted, when yoongi and namjoon brought him along on one of their last hangouts as trainees. social butterfly hoseok made it a point to befriend seolah. she was taken aback by his friendliness initially, but he slowly won her over with his easygoing and carefree attitude. they began doing individual hangouts and even dancing together late at night in the studios.

hoseok soon grew comfortable with her presence and felt that she brought out the best with him. he started feeling funny while they were filming for war of hormone, and freaked out when he started imagining seolah hugging him instead of taehyung in the end of the video. after some time questioning his feelings, hoseok decided to man up and confess to her. it was a disaster, needless to say. seolah's face fell and she looked down at the ground in silence before coming out to him.

at first, hoseok thought she was making an excuse and laughed right in her face. when he realized that it wasn't a joke, he did the first thing that came to his mind - he ran away. it took him a couple of days to absorb what just happened, but he realized that seolah was still her beautiful self, regardless of her ual orientation. he met up with her again and apologized for laughing at her. seolah thanked him for not judging her and they resume their close friendship. although hoseok is heartbroken to know that seolah will never return his feelings, he takes pride in knowing that she trusts him and vows to protect her.
