Stopping in front of the mirror as he walks out, Seokho can't help but admire the image he is presented with. Its one thing to be told he is a good looking guy by the fans, coordinators, the company, even by the other idols he is surrounded by. The more important fact of the matter is that Yoo Seokho undeniably believes it too. He takes a bit longer to look himself up and down, smoothing back some of his hair to look so perfectly imperfect you'd think he just woke up and rolled out of bed this way. He looks good. He knows he looks good.
It never hurts to hear it though. As his groupmates begin to file past him to get to the van for their schedule, Seokho can help but tug on the sleeve of the last to leave, briefly looking from them to the mirror. After affirming that yes, Seokho looks good, he's ready to step out into the world. All easy smiles and "hey, how are ya?" to the people he meets during his day, Seokho revels in the attention he recieves. Its not hard for him really. Smile at someone assuredly and they respond so well. Oof, even if sometime his friendliness flat out goes into flirtation. Hey, a boy can't help it. If someone is attractive, he can't let them go around NOT knowing they are. The running joke in the group is that Seokho can look at someone across the room and insrantly they gravitate over because apparently, their resident "hoe" was making bedroom eyes at someone. LISTEN. He can't help it. Flirting is fun, pretty people are pretty, and what's the harm in enjoying the company of a pretty person?
Even when Seokho has his moments of absentmindedness (like right now, when he can't find the van and they need to leave), he just smiles and takes the jabs and teasing about his foolishness in stride. Its no hit to his ego he tells them. Besides, its making people around him happy. They being happy makes him happy.
So what if sometimes people can convince him to do just about anything they want? He likes the affirmation they give him when he follows along. Its what they expect right? Right. Riding back from schedules, a member dozing on his shoulder while the others are chatting away, Seokho looks at his reflection in the window. By now the makeup he was wearing just accentuates the dark bags under his eyes. He would really like to sleep, but if he moves then it'll disturb his groupmate sleeping on him. So instead he stares at his reflection. He's heard the ps rumors, read the comment on his high notes, listened to the critique on his dancing...no, no he can't wallow in it. Even if he knows the perfection he is trying to portray is a mask his fans and even his groupmates have come to expect, he can't tire out from it. The adoration he gets is what he craves and needs. What are his future plans? He can't tell you that. Mostly because he's living in the moment and the present, why worry about the future too much? Though he does worry if his latest compostion will make it on their next album. As his mom would tell you, "Seokho would never be content not being the center of attention. Being adored by fans is just a side effect of that pursuit." Having grown up in a fairly modest home, the second of three sons (1st song Junho and youngest Kangho), Seokho always wanted people to pay attention to him. Just watch old family films: Papa Yoo would be asking about the baby and here comes Seokho into the view pulling the camera to his smiling face.
He grew up surrounded by the beauties of nature. The beautiful maple trees and festivals, excusions into the national park as his father worked in the parks for research, and so many family hikes and trips for camping. But Seokho never felt quite at home in the forests and countrysides the rest of his family seemed to love. Even as a child, he was prone to loud outbursts and showboating in the otherwise quiet community his family lived in. Seokho simply never felt like he fit in while they lived in Jeungeop.
But then his father found work at a university near Seoul, and the family all moved. A city of shining lights and opportunity is exactly what Seokho had been needing. It seemed the new enviroment offered him the things he's been craving: attention and being in the spotlight. It didn't take long for him to realize perfoming was where he wanted to be. - Is unsurprisingly a momma's boy. He spends a lot of time and money on his mom when he can.

The remaining three would be selected from a group of trainees in a survival-esque show called Making R.E.X. The show was very hard on the boys honestly. A few of their close friends didn't end up debuting with them. Seokho was fortunate that his closest friends all seemed to debut in the end. With the initial moderate success of the show, it's been a steady growth for the group since.
Notably, the group did gain some fame/noteriety for being loud, sometimes almost obnoxiously so, rambunctious, and energetic. While some might have viewed their behavior as a little disrespectful, many did enjoy the energy they had. It has played into their favor on variety and events like ISAC. In most interviews and features, the group was shown to actually be quite earnest, and the energy levels stem from their closeness and enjoyment of their work. Seokho really lucked out to have the group members he had. Even when things got almost unbearably tiring, they could always energize him. There's not another group of idiots Seokho would rather be stuck with to the end honestly.

The most senior former trainee on R.E.X. He was made the leader of the group due to his ability to stay organized and repsonsible for the people around him. When there are disagreements or things just start getting out of hand too much, Hajun is the first to step up and corral the kids and maintain order. He's usually the quickest with a smart comment, to call out BS when he sees it, and is easily the most defensive of the group. Mess with one of s, and you will find youtself on the recieving end of a verbal lashing very quickly. Don't mistake his responsible nature for being a stick in the mud: he's usually just as loud and involved in the group's troublemaking as any of the others. He's not hard to please, and the other members can usually get him to spoil them without too much trouble.

HJ: That's a lie. Namgi is your favorite.
SH:...Hyuuuuuung you know you're my second favorite right?
HJ: You're lucky people would notice if you went missing.

Seokho's best friend. They joined Starship around the same time and have spent many a late night together just practicing or studying. In the group, he is one of the most expressive and outgoing members next to Jungmin and Seokho. Had Hajun not been leader, Namgi probably would have. He and Seokho are like two sides of the same coin: they're so similar in their personalities until you dig deeper. Namgi is far more secure in himself and has clearer long term goals. He's been involved in music longer than Seokho, and has longer term aspirations of being a full time choreographer when his idol days are over. He's been subtely pushing Seokho to consider other thing after idol life is done as well. Namgi is Seokho's security blanket when things get rough, and is also his biggest supporter.

Sometimes seeming easily manipulated and not always the brightest either, Sungwon can easily be mistaken as being one of the younger members rather than the second oldest. He tries exceedingly hard to be the alpha male of the group in some cases, so he apears loud and aggressive when. But he a bit of a baby honestly. His bark is far worse than his bite and his words, while loud and sharp, belay a rather soft person beneath. He is easy to drag into trouble with the NamHo couple as they decided to adopt him into their shenaningans after he made the group.The biggest weenie despite trying to be a badass sums him up. He, along with Wonil, are the main composers for the group when they take part in the creative process.

Arguably Hajun's best friend, Yunseok has earned the moniker of "REX's mom" by default, but that is in no way true because there is not a nurturing bone in this kid. Which is also a lie. In many ways, Yunseok is the person who will complain and be super annoyed at something having gone wrong or being asked to help...but he'll end up helping or assisting in any way he can. He tends to be more reserved and prefers quietly working behind the scenes rather than being the face of the group. He's a fantastic singer and often helps the others with their vocals and training when needed. He's actually really close to Seokho, Namgi, and Hajun, and particularly has a soft spot for Seokho. Most definitely the king of witty one liners.

The fake maknae. Acts like a big kid and is the moodmaker. Is actually very smart and knows how to trick his other members. The devious one. Convinced Seokho there was a ghost in the dorm, and got into trouble with Hajun when Seokho proceeded to freak out Namgi and Sungwon. Picks on his hyungs a lot, and sometimes people consider her the rude member. He does mean well, and is a good supporter of s however. He's a good kid: just rambunctious. Jungmin is a master storyteller, and by far he's the favorite on variety. He is cloests to Wonil, and they're roommates. He's also known for his composition skills alongside Sungwon, and speaks English extremely well.

They try to baby him.: he ain't having it. In the early days, they could embarass him easily, but he's grown quite the backbone. Now he's the cool, chic member. Well, as cool and chic as R.E.X gets. He's just as liable to shout randomly and jump on a couch as the others. Funnily enough, he's the one who is usually the one who imparts some wisdom on Seokho when they're alone. Seokho actualy used to help Wonil back in his trainee days and even after being added to R.E.X. in dance and even some minor vocal work with Yunseok is not around to help. As such, Wonil feels comfortable enough around Seokho to give him honest opinions. He's becoming more widely known for model and CF work as of late, and has actually taken up some DJing on the side. It has actually become a thing for R.E.X. to find ways to embarass him on variety as well

Fortunately, Yeoreum seems more than happy to take the lead in most things, directing them to their next date destination. Seokho is just generally at a loss. It all started when Seokho decided he wanted to try actually being in a relationship.
Actually it all started when Namgi bet him he couldn't actually commit to any one person.
Actually, it was probably when the maknae called him a incorrigible flirt (He actually used "Hyung, you're such a hoe.")

Seokho has dated, as much as busy idols could date at least, many other idols in the industry, or has at least exchanged flirty texts or had semi-romantic intentions to them. As such, it's a well known fact that Seokho is a bit if a playboy. That doesn't stop him from attracting some ladies rather easily however, and really he has the best of intentions. He's not trying to lead anyone on or anything. It's just the nature of the game: you flirt, have a little fun, and then move on because really, what else is there for them? It's not like these girls ever actually liked him per se, right? Right.
That's not how Namgi saw it however. He always tells Seokho his philandering isa fear of commitment, and he should stop doing it if he's not going to go all in. It's not just Namgi telling him this either. All the members, in some fashion or another, have told him the same thing. "At the very least, if you're going to cause a scandal," Hajun tells him one day while they're getting ready for dance practice, "can it at least be for something more than a 'OPPA LOOKED AT HER!'?"
It's not that Seokho never really considered dating more seriously. But he was having fun, no one was getting seriously hurt, so what was the problem? No, the people who said more mean spirited things about his flirtatious ways didn't bother him. But hearing how his group members even seemed to have a negative opinion on the matter? Well...then one day, getting ready for their stage, the others flat out tell him, "Seokho. We bet you all the meat you can eat for the rest of next year that you can't date someone for longer than a year."
Okay, so Seokho knows they're mostly joking. But that just hurt his pride. He tells them it is on. But now he has the dilemma of who the heck is he going to date? And lo and behold, her comes AdoreU and one Yeoreum.
He knows Yeoreum from a previous Inkigayo sandwich situation. Everyone knows that idols exchange numbers with the sandwiches, and Seokho has had a number of them given to him with the numbers of other idols. He was complianing loudly of still being hungry, being poked fun of for his whining by s, when up walks Yeoreum. She hands him a sandwich, and says she wasn't hungry anyhow, and he should have it. Please enjoy it. Seokho and R.E.X. fully expected another phone number or note slipped into the wrapping.
But there wasn't. She genuinely just decided to give him a sandwich because he was hungry.
Remembering that she seemed kind and sparking his interest in her again, Seokho approached her at the vending machine to casually ask her out some time. He had every intention of not really using her neccessarily. Yes, there's a bet, but Yeoreum seems nice, so would it be so bad to try a longer term relationship?
And then his little blissful world of charm is shattered when Yeoreum flat out tells him she knows what he's up to. She heard everything. Well...crap. But instead...it seems like she might be happy to play along. What has Seokho gotten himself into...???
R.E.X. all seem rather happy about the arrangement, playfully jabbing at Seokho and telling him to be good to her. They don't know their actual arrangement and that it's all an act. Or maybe it isn't entirely. Yeoreum is already calling the shots, dragging him off to places like Itaewon, trying to keep their identities secret, and trying to not get too excited when they get to see drag queens performing Dramarama. It feels like an adventure for Seokho: the kind he, despite how seemingly daring he's been or appeared to have been to others, doesn't really get to go out and enjoy. Being the perfect idol dream for fangirls (maybe boys too??) takes a toll. Maybe he's only realized how much by takin this silly bet on.

Silly Trivia
- They think they're being subtle. But they haven't been dating more than a week before it's one of those widely known secrets the pair are dating.
- Noticeably gets more awkward or less "friendly" when interacting with Yeoreum in public. He thinks it's ensuring no one finds out they're dating when in actuallity its even weirder for him to NOT be flirty.
- Turns out, R.E.X. and Yeoreum live in the same building. Since most assume Yeoreum lives with the other members of AdoreU, it hasn't been an issue yet. Oddly convenient.
