The type of person where you'll hear her before she even enters the room, Haeun is a playful and rowdy little thing that always makes snarky comments and teases the out of her friends for a good laugh. Never seems to be able to shut her trap, she has the capability to talk until the end of time if she so chose to. Also almost always laughing or adorning a huge grin on her face, Haeun is someone who looks very approachable. Because of this, Haeun is amicable and finds it impossibly easy to make close friends from just the first meeting. She's the true definition of a social butterfly averaging 300 texts per day from boat loads of different people. These first meetings happen one of two ways - they either love or hate her and 98% of the time, people love her. Which is not at all hard to explain. Haeun is a simple person who likes to live life without any pretenses. She's altruistic and wishes only the best for everyone. Everyone sees her generosity and genuineness from the get go because she wears her whole character on her sleeve. Constantly ends up crying whenever she watches the news, either tears from frustration that justice isn't being served or someone was harmed maliciously to feeling bad for animals being killed in games, Haeun is a complete softball who can't stand seeing anyone in pain. She's constantly on the lookout for anyone who may need her help wherever she's traveling from mothers with a baby carriage struggling to go down the stairs or carrying groceries for the elderly back home. She is also everyone's number one supporter. Haeun probably doesn't know you but still wishes for you to succeed and have the best life you should, supporting your life decisions without any question. This is mostly due to Haeun being very open-minded, which makes it easier for people to spill things to her since they know she won't judge. Haeun fully believes that a person should accept and love themselves before others can love them; and that everyone has good points and bad. Due to her simplistic approach to life, she trusts people easily and believes the better in everyone. To put it simply, Haeun chooses to embrace everyone as they come and if on the off chance she can't stand them, these people have others who want them in their life anyways. For Haeun, she won't stick around people who can't handle her and she would never change herself for anyone. She has the same expectations for others - she doesn't want anyone to change for her and she won't change for anyone. With so many people walking the earth, everyone is bound to find people who actually match their wavelengths.

 

Haeun is supportive of everyone in whatever forms they come in mainly because she is so damn willful. She doesn't like being limited or being told what to do so she fully understands not to do that to others. Treat others the way you want to be treated is one of her mottos. Despite Haeun's friendly and cheerful disposition, she's quick tempered when anyone orders her to do something or want to put boundaries on her because if there was one thing Haeun was bad at, it is following rules. She likes to live life as she pleases so she doesn't do well whenever someone thinks they have a right to tell her how to live hers. She won't do it to others, so others better not do it to her either. Dives head first into everything without thinking anything through, a lot of things Haeun does is for her own pleasures. She just wants to have fun, laugh through life sharing wonderful experiences with those around her. She's reckless and unpredictable, you think you know her and that she is simple but really, you can't really guess what her next move would be since she's a spontaneous soul with the curiosity of a newborn baby, constantly jumping from one thing to another. Starts everything with so much passion but usually loses interest before seeing anything through. Haeun is quick tempered when anyone tries to tell her how to live her life, when she has to repeat herself a lot, when she sees any sort of rude actions like people making a mess of a public dining table, anyone being mean to others, seeing any malevolence, and when someone makes assumptions about her but is wrong. Basically, Haeun gets mad real quick when she sees someone's inconsideration for others around them. Also because Haeun is an honest soul who sees no need for lies or pretenses, she tends to talk about things that others do not need to know from announcing her period to all her friends to talking about her bowel movements. She talks about taboo topics like asking whats your favorite cereal. Her vocabulary is also very straight forward and crude, she will curse to her heart's content whenever she likes, a sailor's mouth is baby talk compared to her. Haeun has a very big personality where it can be hard to put up with her but for those who do stick around, they'll understand Haeun is full of flaws but she'll always be your number one fan.  

Born and raised in the big apple, that probably explains Haeun's willful and freedom oriented mindset. So much personality in NYC, it's hard to not want to embrace your own person. Not to mention the love and affection from her family while she was growing up further cemented the confidence Haeun needed to be happy and true to herself. Haeun's parents originally got married due to the unexpected pregnancy of their first child, Haeun's older sister, and had another unexpected pregnancy the first year into their marriage, Haeun who was born a year after their first child. Due to the shotgun wedding for the young parents who fell hard and fast in love, they weren't able to cope with the big changes in their life. Many differences in opinion arising caused the couple to grow apart. Eventually, the marriage was too much for her parents to handle and they divorced when she was 7- unaware of the true meaning of what divorce meant. After the divorce, Haeun's mother brought her children back to S.Kor for a better life. Since she was constantly working, she needed the help of her parents to watch over Haeun and her sister. Shortly after returning to S.Kor, Haeun's mother met another man and the two were married two years later, followed by a baby brother for Haeun who was 10 at the time. Despite the big changes in the family, Haeun's mother and grandparents were very consistent with spoiling the kids and making sure they knew they grew up in a family that loved them. Haeun knew she was loved but she began to form a hatred for her mother's new husband that she began to join a friend in going to singing lessons to avoid going home early and having to interact with the man. He was close minded and very traditional, which wasn't a problem until he decided he could tell Haeun how to live her life. There were constant penalties if she talked out of order or stated her opinion and miniscule rules that he constantly added to the hosuehold made a very rebellious Haeun develop. When her friend later auditioned to become a trainee for a company, Haeun followed along as well, eventually being chosen as a trainee. Which was more than Haeun can ask for - long hours to keep her from home and with the possibility to delve further into her new interest - dancing.

IDOL HISTORY

dsp has been in the entertainment industry for a while and although have had popular groups such as kara and ss501, their popularity didn't stick long enough for dsp to become a powerhouse, followed with several flops.  it has also been a struggle for dsp to keep up with the onslaught of new generation idol groups. and that was when they decided to try to make a coed group, to go big or to go home. they put a lot of effort and money into making the group, carefully choosing members that worked well together and shined as a group. after several team collaborations, dsp finalised the group with the current kard members. although they were not the first choice, their overall personalities were much better than the troublemaking team that topped the trials. the group have released several singles before their debut throughout 2016 to hopefully garner some publicity and fans, eventually offically debuting on july 17, 2017.

haeun used to be on the chubby side prior to the trainee life, and frequently struggled to maintain her weight due to her love for foods. she has been reprimanded on multiple occasions for stealing a midnight snack, crying to herself that the cookie wasn't worth it when she has to go run for two hours as punishment. she was trained harder than most due to her hefty figure. when others took a break or went for lunch, haeun had to keep training for another half hour or so. or if she was caught secretly eating again, sometimes wasn't even allowed lunch. you would think the trainers hate her but she was well mannered and liked to crack jokes to them, sometimes even unconciously throwing aegyo around so although she was a nuisance half the time, she was well liked by most of the trainers. haeun has a personal trainer and does pilate when she's off to maintain her current weight. she has the appetite of a starved cow so she frequently has to work out twice as much as the others. she has grown to love working out and the sweat that comes with it though so she doesn't mind it all that much. esp since she can enjoy as much food as she wants. haeun has many friends within the k-industry only bc she's a fangirl for everyone and will shamelessly run up to diffeent people talking about how much she loved their latest comeback.
