Kira has extremely long, ebony hair with a signature forehead fringe. Two shorter strands frame her doll-like face while the rest freely drapes over her shoulders and flows with each movement. Her doe eyes are a large and vivid crimson, sometimes more pink or mahogany depending on the light, and framed by long, dark lashes and a small beauty mark under her right eye. Very few find them beautiful, but most see them creepy, especially with the dark sclerae of her Katakigan. Kira's pale as snow with a fragile and petite stature that seems liable to snap with her very thin physique. She is, overall, like a delicate porcelain doll.

STYLE AT SCHOOL Kira frequents a black kimono with red spider lilies decorating it paired with a pale pink obi. Instead of geta, she opts for the shinobi sandals, but in black to match. Unlike, say Chocho, hers isn't cut as short but at a height where she won't trip over it and has an open slit for her to grab anything from her weapons pouch tied to her right leg. For modesty, she wears spandex underneath. Kira has storage scrolls tucked in her obi for emergency first-aid or, well, her lunch, and some extra ninja tools. She has her hair in a single braid with a red bow and laced with senbon in case someone tries to grab it as a means of attack.
STYLE OUTSIDE OF SCHOOL She dons a simple white yukata with cherry blossoms or something similar (cut in the same manner as she has for the academy) and her reliable shinobi sandals. Her hair is free and flowing. However, she does keep senbon with her sleeves just in case.

The Hattori clan traces its roots to Amegakure, but even further in history there was one man of importance from the clan named Kakuzu from Takigakure with the signature black sclerae they are known for. However, with his less than savory deeds, the clan had abstained from re-adding him to the registry after discovering he was alive despite the disappearance (and likely death) of his parents. The next iconic shinobi to be born of this clan was Hanzō of the Salamander who led Amegakure, whose demise was brought upon by Pein of the Akatsuki due to his own negligence. Pein took over Amegakure and massacred anyone who was close to Hanzo so that no one would be able to seek revenge. The Hattori clan was mostly massacred, especially due to their kekkai genkai. Some of the family members were able to escape ahead of time and relocate to Konohagakure, taking with them what's left of the clan. They established a small compound and kept themselves afloat through their textiles and what little shinobi they could employ without fear of being extinct. The Academy, however, was a different story. Though she expected to be outcasted, Kira was pleasantly surprised by the relative amiable company of Class 1-C. All shinobi are weirdos in their own way, so her eyes were of no concern to them. Kira was a well attentive student with perfect marks in written exams, but does less than that in terms of physicality. However, it was Class 1-B that gets all the attention and recognition. Not only that, but it was filled to the brim with clan heirs (the Hokage's son and one of few Uchihas in the world? Come on!). And dammit, they're actually nice people too. Still, Kira can't help but be envious and resentful of their opportunities and recognition. Practically a day doesn't go by for 1-C to hear some kind of spontaneous news of 1-B. But, Kira wasn't going to take it lying down. There had to be something she could do to be better, and that led to her reading the library front and back and picking up what she could on fuinjutsu, medical ninjutsu, and genjutsu.
Hattori Akashi is her father who seems cold, but is actually a very kind and caring father. He's a jonin specializing in both genjutsu and bukijutsu with his use of a kusarigama, much like Hanzo had. Akashi is a supportive dad who dotes on his daughter whenever he can. Kira inherited her sweet tooth from him. He likes visitors and often asks her teammates to stay for dinner. Hattori Saya is her mother who she gets her morbid nature from. She's a medical ninja who also specializes in poisons. Rather abrasive, sarcastic, and with a bit of a sadistic streak, Saya isn't really a typical mom, but that doesn't make her love her daughter any less. She tends to lovingly daughter and is often butting heads with the clan elders over pressuring her, whether it's rising up the ninja ranks or heaven forbid, talks of arranged marriage. The Hattori clan has treated her well as their precious princess (her parents, uncles, and aunts that is), but the clan elders in particular are rather impatient for progress and accomplishments, as they have high expectations for Kira. She often gets chastised by the elders for lack of meaningful improvement or alleged laziness.
Miken is her teammate from Team Six and she may kinda, sorta has a crush on him. She finds his relaxed "live in the moment" attitude rather endearing and he is one of few who aren't unnerved by her eyes. His straightforward and blunt nature is refreshing, as Kira's life has always been about illusions- the illusion of dignified nobility, of power, of control, of confidence, of her "dream"- so even though he can be insensitive at times, he's honest. In fact (after some time), Miken was the one who straight up told her that she was blindly following her clan's dream for her and how could she stand it? She should be her own person, not someone's puppet. It was a wakeup call that Kira needed and would always be grateful for. And that was when her crush / admiration became something stronger. (Also, he's cute af) On Team Six, the two of them work well together, since Kira's chakra nature enhances his, and they're both swift kiddos. Kira's deviousness and Miken's playful nature combined are also a dangerous combination in action.
Hatake Akitarou is her Class Rep and Kira notes that Aki has a similar personality to her father and herself even. While Aki look cold, he/she/they is/are a real softie. The two of them are actually really good friends, since they both just want to make their family proud and are cinnamon rolls that look like they could kill. They're like kindred spirits, study buddies, training buddies, and besties all in one. Also, due to Kira's perceptiveness and empathy, Aki doesn't need to tell her the correct pronouns for the day or week.
Inuzuka Jiyu and Hattori Kira are almost exact opposites in a way. Jiyu's a rowdy spitfire, whereas Kira is a calm lake. The former is tough as nails and the latter delicate like glass. While they aren't the closest of classmates, they are relatively amiable to one another... well, it took a bit to get there. Jiyu's always seen her as a delicate little thing that wouldn't be fit to be a shinobi and has no problem saying it to Kira's face. It didn't help that Kira at taijutsu either. Still, Kira was polite as always. Jiyu eventually warmed up to her when Kira displayed her genjutsu skills and also made treats for her ninken. They respect each other for the most part.

AFFINITY Water Release
A bit of an unconventional chakra nature when you live in the Land of Fire, but her clan does originate in Amegakure. Water Release jutsu are most easily performed using existing water sources such as a lake or river. Users can also generate the water in their bodies with chakra and expel it from their mouths. There are versatile uses when it comes to the Water Release, as water is flexible. It can do battering damage due to the volume of water, or slicing damage due to pressure. It can ensare targets as well and be used defensively. It can also be used to enhance any Lightning Release jutsu.
Kira's mastery over her Water Release still has lots of room for improvement, mostly because she puts more focus into her genjutsu. Still, she prefers a more defensive approach with her elemental ninjutsu, which leaves her rather limited with her options.

Her genjutsu are frighteningly realistic and her mastery over affecting any one of the five senses makes her the best in her class, even more so than 1-B (because using the Sharingan is freaking cheating). She has a signature horror and macabre style, often taking advantage of her doll-like appearance and creepy eyes to make multiple illusions of herself. Some of her copies have their eyes gouged out, or their necks snapped, or carved with permanent grins like the Joker, or blood-soaked- that's the gist of it. Her doll copies like to erupt in creepy giggles and say things like, "play with us" or "let's carve that frown upside-down!" Against enemies (never against her classmates, as she wouldn't dare emotionally scar them), Kira brings it up a notch and makes it real personal with the use of her Katakigan and the desecration of their loved ones in realistic illusions. Sometimes, she uses genjutsu to make it look like she's gliding like an actual ghost. Overall, genjutsu is a breeze for her, and she's an eager student.

Just as there are different programming languages, there are different patterns to seals (ie. Uzumaki with the signature spiral). The activation of a seal is also similar to how coding works. Set it all in place (write the code) and then put it in action. Take explosion tags for example. They only explode when they are activated, usually by a command. It can be that seals activate in different ways too, which just makes it all the more complicated and probably why no one dares to try their hand, especially with the lack of teachers available and a mountain of mind-numbing concepts to understand. However, fuinjutsu is a very powerful tool, as evident by the Flying Thunder God technique of the Second and Fourth Hokage. While not listed as fuinjutsu, it is remarked to be similar to the Summoning Technique, which is in fact a type of fuinjutsu. Not to mention, a personalized seal formula is required for the Flying Thunder God. I digress. Anyway, Kira's a smart bean, and with lots of hard work, she's able to make her own storage seals and explosion tags, which work much better than your run-of-the-mill standard issue. Much like how coding can differ in length and efficiency, it can be that seals work similarly, that experimenting with different combinations and other factors can lead to a more efficient and effective result. I could probably see that no one would want to spend time trying to tweak something that's already good to use, and a simpler solution is to use more, but hey, she can at least say she can make seals.

THE INTERVIEW
[ AKITAROU : ] akitarou can be seen positioning the camera to face you before turning it on and taking a seat in front of you. " hello, as your class rep, i will be asking you to introduce yourself for this video! "
[ KIRA : ] kira smiles lightly to the camera before introducing herself softly. "my name is hattori kira, age 13, and member of team six."
[ MIKEN : ] miken joins from beside akitarou, pulling up a chair and clearing his throat. " we're taking turns doing this interview because we can- so... what's your nature chakra? what kind of jutsu do you use? "
[ KIRA : ] kira glances away for a split second, a faint twinge of pink sweeping over her cheekbones, before disguising by brushing her hair back. "my chakra is water-aligned, though I cannot say I use it often as I am in favor of genjutsu and medical ninjutsu. I am capable of summoning salamanders."
[ JIYU : ] jiyu pops out from behind you, hands on her hips as she stares you down. " what do you excel in? what have you achieved so far? "
[ KIRA : ] kira meets her gaze with a polite smile. "I have perfect chakra control at least, which allows me to use medical ninjutsu and conserve chakra, and my genjutsu is top of the class, perhaps better than 1-b. I am still working on my fuinjutsu, though I can at least make my own seals even if they are rather simple."
[ AKITAROU : ] " and what are you lacking at or in? what do you want to achieve? " akitarou asks, straight to the point.
[ KIRA : ] kira smiles, albeit wryly, and akitarou returns it. "i am sure we can all agree that my taijutsu is heavily lacking." The other three nod their heads in doubtless agreement and kira doesn't blame them. "my chakra reserves are unfortunately average, though I plan to do whatever I can to increase them. I am still not cleared to dabble in lethal poisons, so for now, I can at best have strong sedatives and numbing agents at hand, unless they have tolerance." kira hummed in thought. "I would like to master genjutsu and work harder on fuinjutsu to make it combat ready."
[ MIKEN : ] " blunt as always, class rep... " miken sighs before his gaze shifts into a poison filled glare at nothing in particular. " and how do you feel about class 1-b..? how do you feel about the fact that we aren't even considered the dirt they walk on! how do you feel about us not getting any recognition at all!? how do you- " he's cut off by an elbow to the ribcage by jiyu who has moved in front of you and looks annoyed.
[ KIRA : ] her amiable smile slides off her face. the signature crimson eyes darken as kira looks off into the distance, preferring not to gauge their reactions. "class 1-b... most of them are nice people. and yet..." kira sighs. "our class has exceptional students as well, yet why are they the only ones others find worth mentioning?" i hate it, she bitterly admits within the confines of her own mind. we're insignificant to them in the grand scheme of things and get no recognition, but work just as hard- no, we work much harder. a flicker of black replaced the pure white of kira's eyes, causing shivers to run down their spines, before reverting back to normal. the quick flash of her dormant kekkai genkai was enough. she had no more words to say on the subject as she retained her poise.
[ JIYU : ] jiyu breathes in through her nose, shaking her head. " anyway, i guess i'm last again, so let's make this quick before the lunch bell rings. what do you hope to become on our journey to victory? what do you hope our class and your team become? what is your goal? "
[ KIRA : ] kira's eyes shone with determination. "I strive to be a strong shinobi to restore the honor of my clan and that of my great-grandfather." her eyes swept over the other three. "and I strongly believe that class 1-c will exceed 1-b. as for team six," her eyes met miken's before flickering back to the camera. "we will complete every mission without fail."

I updated the jutsu list and added the basic jutsu, as well as removed her offensive Water Release jutsu because I realized it contradicts the statement I made about her being more defensive with her elemental ninjutsu.
