ELABORATION
Calm : Miyeon is not someone to lose her temper easily. Even if she is raging inside, she won't say a word.

Caring : Though you'll probably never hear her say "I love you" out loud, Miyeon cares for her loved ones, but in small ways like making sure they've brushed their teeth, eaten their meals or wishing them good luck before important things, and scolding them when they are reckless.

Passionate : Miyeon gives her all in performing as it's been her dream for a long time. She thinks performing isn't something to be taken lightly, and makes sure to get everything right during every performance.

Responsible : Miyeon makes sure to look out for other contestants and keep them out of trouble. She keeps the promises she makes, and even if her heart is no longer set on something, she commits to it.

Cold-hearted : Though Miyeon cares for the other contestants, she doesn't mind hurting them when she feels it necessary. Other than the contestants she is close to, she generally doesn't care about the well-being of others. The only thing she really cares about is her own survival, and if she has to shoot others down to survive, she doesn't mind doing so.

Cocky : Miyeon has trained for a long time, and is quite skilled. Because of this, she tends to look down on the contestants who have not trained for long or she deems to be less skilled than her.

Competitive : To Miyeon, failure is defeat. She works hard to get to the top and doesn't care who she has to beat.

Antisocial and reserved : Miyeon doesn't believe in socialising simply for the sake of socialising or up to someone she does not like. If she feels there is no good reason for her to get to know a person, why should she? She'll only let you get close to her if she decides she likes you, and even then, she'll take time to open up to you. She usually keeps to herself, speaking up only if she needs something, if she has a strong opinion or if someone speaks to her first.

y : Just because Miyeon is a calm person, it doesn't mean you should make her upset. If you do, she'll complain and whine to the cows come home, usually without any hint at all of her blood boiling.

Loyal and protective : If you've managed to stay on Miyeon's good side, she'll protect you with her life. Miyeon will stand by you as long as you appease her, and if anyone dares hurt you, they better be prepared to face Miyeon's wrath.

Honest : Miyeon believes in telling it like it is. Though she does give praises from the bottom of her heart, she doesn't sugar-coat her criticism either and doesn't care how insensitive she is. She believes that in order to help someone improve, they need to be told exactly what they are doing wrong.

Strict : As Miyeon believes failure is defeat, she puts a lot of pressure on herself and others to get everything right, because to her, that's exactly how to avoid failure.

Miyeon was born in 2000, with one twin sister, Siyeon. Growing up, while Siyeon was intelligent and a fast learner, Miyeon was not so smart and slow to pick things up. During her childhood, Miyeon had often unintentionally been compared negatively to Siyeon by her parents and relatives, and while Siyeon earned many praises from them, praise towards Miyeon was few and far between. Siyeon was smart, pretty and talented in singing and playing instruments, and as hard as Miyeon tried, she was never able to match up.

In 2008, Siyeon wanted to take part in Pledis Superstar. Not wanting to lose out, Miyeon decided to participate with her sister. Both sisters eventually became Pledis trainees, but while Siyeon shot many CFs and dramas predebut, it seemed that Miyeon was always cast aside for another girl who was prettier or more talented. She just wanted everyone to believe she could be as good as her sister. She tried not to mind that Pledis didn't debut her in After School or Hello Venus, despite the fact she was far too young to debut then. But when Siyeon was chosen to participate in Produce 101 without her, it just hurt Miyeon more. Why couldn't Pledis see that she too was trying her best?

Finally, in 2017, Miyeon got the chance to represent Pledis with two other girls on Mixnine, and ranked in the top 9 females. Unfortunately, the female winners did not get to debut. At least, at that time, Siyeon wasn't getting much attention either, and she wasn't chosen to be in the Pristin V subunit. Pristin disbanded in 2019 and Siyeon decided to leave. However, Miyeon decided to prove that she could be useful to Pledis, and that she could be as good as, if not better than Siyeon. And just nice, Planet Idol came to give her the opportunity to do so.

Everytime Miyeon saw girls being chosen to be part of a group, her heart sank a little. Sure, she was only 9 when After School debuted and 12 when Hello Venus debuted, but she had put in hard work training. It didn't help that Siyeon managed to rack up experience in CFs and dramas, making Miyeon wonder what was it about her sister that she lacked. When Pristin debuted in 2016 and Miyeon was not chosen, she almost broke. It hurt to see her sister doing so well and earning praises from everyone, while it seemed nobody loved her.

It seemed that Miyeon's chance finally came when she was in Mixnine, but despite doing well and being in the top 9 female contestants, YG Entertainment decided to only debut the winning male team. 2018 was Miyeon's 10th year in Pledis and it came and went uneventfully.

Now that Miyeon has chosen to be on Planet Idol, she's going to show Pledis they should debut her, and everyone that she doesn't need Siyeon.
