As they are fraternal twins (and have opposite genders), they don't exactly look alike though of course they share some uncanny resemblance. Unlike Hanbyul, Hana has a porcelain skin--often dubbed 'Snow White' by her closest friends. Her face's focus, though, are her doe eyes and her celestial nose. Besides that, Hana has a prominent beauty mark just below the right part of her lower lip.

Growing up from an average family, Hana takes care of everything she has--from material things to relationships. She doesn't give a damn about brands--but she doesn't hate them. She just doesn't fuss about it. She doesn't eat red meat; instead, she prefers chicken or seafoods, thus her figure. Lastly, she lives a simple life (that's bound to change as she enters the celebrity life; not that she hates it) and would want to value her privacy above anything else.

Kana (仮名 / 카나) - Kana is a mixture of both her family name and first name. She prefers if people not really close to her call her by this name as she thinks the people who deserve to call her by her first name are someone she holds dear to her heart. 
Snow White (白雪姫 / 백설 공주) - She's dubbed as the 'Snow White' in Keio University obviously because of her 'skin white as snow, her lips and cheeks red as a rose and her hair black as ebony'.
Hanana (ハナナ / 하나나) - Hanana is a term of endearment to her by her siblings. They're the only ones who could call her by this name that she acknowledges.
C.C -  C.C is a famous anime character from Code Geass. Hana was associated to C.C by a very prominent senior /let's call him Heechul/ (who absolutely adores anime) for a reason that they both have waist-length straight hair (on her trainee years) and sarcastic mouths.

BACKGROUND: Kang Hana is born on the 4th of April, year 1997 at approximately 21:03, being eleven minutes older than Hanbyul; making her the unspoken middle child of the Kang family. Unlike both her siblings who are very much outgoing and bubbly, she is rather reserved and calm in nature. Growing up, she has always been the middleman between Haneul and Hanbyul, both literally and figuratively. When their outgoing personalities clash, they turn to Hana for peace (and to force her to choose a side, which ends unsuccessful for them both). 
At four years old, Hana fell inlove with a specific art, which is dance classified to ballet, contemporary, hiphop and jazz; so, she asked her parents if they could enroll her to dance classes, and that they did. Exactly a week after Hana and Hanbyul's 6th birthday, their family transferred back to Daegu because of her father's work nature (he happens to be a University Professor back in Keio University and he got a job opportunity to teach in Kyungpook National University and he didn't let it pass.). Hana then continued her ballet and contemporary classes there only now, with a different dance teacher and dance classmates. At the age of twelve, she started signing up for dance contests. As expected of her, she bagged awards left and right. This continued on until she's fifteen years old.

Come a week before christmas, Hana's grandparents from her mother's side, asked her to come back to Japan and continue her studies there as they miss her so much (she has always been the child who has a soft spot for her grandparents and old people in general). And with no other words needed, Hana went back to continue her studies in Japan with her mom, leaving her father, older sister, twin brother and her bestfriend behind. She was then enrolled into Keio University as she took up pre-law (this was from the influence of her lawyer grandpa). That's when her nickname of Snow White started. Left and right, she could get the attention of both boys and girls because not only she's the daughter of Kang Jisook - the great linguistics professor, she's also active in extra-curricular activities in which Ballet is in and also, who could get pass her beauty and brains? No, she's not perfect. That's a given. She works hard for it. She trains and studies until she deems herself worthy; as what she always say 'I was born with no talent and smarts - I worked hard for all of those.'

Then came May 7, 2013...her time off from university, ballet competitions, basically her time off of everything = SELF TIME! She opted to visit her twin brother, older sister and father in South Korea. And being that she's legal that time, she travelled alone. She got the directives from her older sister Haneul that they should meet at Seoul and that, Hana did. But what she didn't expect is that, the moment her foot (technically, her shoe), touched the Seoul soil, Haneul immediately surprised her with a flyer in hand: open auditions for SM Ent. Everything happened so fast, Hana didn't have enough time to think. As soon as she opened to say 'excuse me oneechan,  but, what?', Haneul clapped his hands and exclaimed "Ah! You can do it! Here! Here! Just think of a song to audition to and once your number is called, come inside! Please Hanana, you know how we're all rooting for you! I'm sure obasan and obachan would be more than proud! Now, go!" And poof! she was gone. Sigh...what did her sister get herself into...

Labeled as a 'kuudere' by none other than Heechul himself, Hana is always seen as a person who is calm and composed all the time. She's usually serious and is always in-charge of a situation. She never panics and she's one to turn to whenever someone's in a crisis.  She speaks monotonously in a calm voice, which just adds +100 sarcasm points to her comments and often looks unaffected/unfazed over any/everything. She never seems to happy, excited, or surprised--just as much as she never appears sad, annoyed or angry. Some might even think that she looks completely emotionless. That's just because people have a hard time reading her emotions. She looks all the same when she's happy, sad, angry, annoyed, excited--all the same. She has this what you call the 'resting face' or downright looks unimpressed all the time and she doesn't care one bit or try to even change it. She is very patient; having a twin brother who is borderline an idiot and an equally outgoing older sister, Hana learned how to deal with them patiently, thinking of herself as the most sane sibling. Another trait of hers also, is that she gets over things quickly. She doesn't hold grudges as for her, it wastes her energy. She'd rather drop it. She hates small talk and doesn't beat around the bush. Usually in a conversation, most questions directed to her would only get one-worded answers. If you're lucky enough, she'll answer you a full sentence. It's not that Hana's afraid of talking; she just chooses what to say or when not to speak at all. But don't mistake it as her being rude. It's just that she hates prolonging conversations as it wastes her energy, or as stated before, picking the wrong words. Her siblings often joke that Hana's favorite phrase is "..." as it is, which gets them a glare in return. Deep down though, she'll do anything to protect her friends and her loved-ones. Despite being stoic most of the time, she secretly cares for them and their happiness. She'll do everything she can while staying in the background just to make her loveones happy.



Hana enjoys quiet hobbies such as reading, painting and dancing by herself. You see, Hana loves her silence. If her background of one-worded answers didn't give it away yet, then here it is. She values her silence and would send an icy glare to someone who dares disrupt it.
Despite being a person with a resting face syndrome, she does show her smile or laugh to people she's extremely close with; and they value it a lot. It's a big deal to everybody for Hana to even crack a smile, much more make her laugh. That sometimes, people think she's scary, that's until they get to know her.

Because of her one-worded answers or less words, she tends to be blunt; having to say what she has to say in one shot and drop than give subtle hints. What she feels of the question you ask her, you'll get an honest answer. If you're unlucky enough, she'll give you the harsh truth.
People around her most especially, know not to push her to her anger point. It happened once, and it's not a pretty scene. You see, the people who are usually calm tend to explode the moment they've reached their limit--that doesn't exempt Hana. You anger her and you could consider yourself basically invisible to her.

No one is perfect. As much as we hear this trite nugget, a lot of us do not take it to heart. (Nudge, nudge.) Hana is the type of person who does not only admit her imperfections, she applauds them. She knows where her strength lies, where she can improve and when to get the heck outta dodge and let others take the lead. Trying to be perfect at everything is inefficient, and Hana just ain’t got no time for that. She loves herself for who she is — and for who she's not. 
Now, some people may think this practice is b-tchy, but in reality, it’s pretty respectful. What, you ask? Hana says no. She doesn’t overcommit and she doesn’t make false promises. She just says no. Why? Because she'd rather state the truth and decline rather than tell a white lie and then flake out later. And, she doesn’t have time for everything. No one does. The difference is, burnout simply isn’t on Hana's agenda, so she makes sure to commit to things she’ll actually enjoy instead of piling every little thing onto her calendar for the sake of other people. So important, don't miss out on this. Hana knows trying to accomplish everything alone is virtually impossible. She doesn’t feel threatened or belittled by seeking help from others. Just like a king has an entire court to assist with daily functions, she has a support group ready to go. Mental tune-ups are their chamomile teas. She values a third party bringing out the best in her. Plus, she has someone to blab to about that epic slip-up with you-know-what at the you-know-where and stuff got real.
No matter what the circumstance is, Hana strives to understand her emotions AND own up to them. PLOTLINE: April Girl

TRAINEE: 
Training Years: 2013 to present.
After auditioning at the open auditions, Hana was adviced to wait for a call - and a call came not after 24 hours.
She was told to audition formally two weeks later with her own materials (music to sing and dance to) and her siblings helped her prepare for it. Haneul suggested Taeyeon's 'Can You Hear Me' to be Hana's audition song and a mix of Beyonce songs for Hana to dance into. Eventually, Hana was helped by her twin (who is a contemporary dancer in Seoul Metropolitan Dance) in the choreography of her dance and evaluated both her dance and vocal practices to help Hana. "They'd be fools to not accept you. You're doing exeptionally well! I bet they wouldn't even think of the word 'no', I swear." He said.

There's no doubt that Hana got the judges' attentions the time that she auditioned, and soon as she finished her dance, one from the panelists (Hyoyeon) asked her "Are you, by any chance, a ballerina or a contemporary dancer?" And Hana answered with a nod of her head as she gathered some stray hairs away from her face to tuck it at the back of her right ear. "I see! Glad I wasn't wrong with my assumptions!"
And just as her twin had predicted, not even 48 hours had passed since Hana's audtion that they contacted her, saying that she passed the auditions and that she could start training the next day if she pleases.

By the time she started training, she was put in the SM rookies but knowing her stoic self, she made no friends, save for Minda, the only person brave enough to approach her. She was yet to graduate but she's content in knowing that she'll have her spotlight soon.

Training in SM Ent was all too much to take in; from the trainers to her co-trainees. But Hana could say that she's doing well; training well and having no bad blood with someone.
But that's what she thought. Some trainees have an issue with her, mistaking her quiet personality of being rude so they do their damnedest to stay away from her, not that Hana cares. She loves her peace and quiet, right? 
They can say whatever, do whatever and act whatever. As for Hana, her only and main focus is to debut.
+Hana's talent was beyond underrated by the trainees, guys and girls alike. They tend to discredit her talent because all they see in her is her body.body.body. Some even had the guts to call out that the only reason why Hana was accepted into SM is because she has a banging body. But Hana doesn't care. At all. They poke fun at her because of her body? So be it. Not her fault, anyway. But all remains for her. The goal is to debut.

It was not even a minute after the CEO voiced out his plans for the new girlgroup (with the 'panelists' /really, they're idols under SMEnt/ on a meeting with him) and Heechul already provided a name he has in his mind for quite some time now. The people inside the room-- Leeteuk, Kyuhyun, Key, Taemin, Kai, Baekhyun, Taeyong, Jaehyun, Taeyeon, Hyoyeon, Irene, Victoria, Luna and BoA, as well as the three producers and three choreographers-- looked at him, their faces etched with curiosity at his sudden outburst.

"I've...heard about her. What about her? How do you know her?" The CEO asked him and Heechul ran the tip of his tongue at his upper teeth before he in a breath to answer. "I've watched her for a long time now, not in a creepy way, of course! Her audition struck me. Even Youngjin hyung was like 'this girl is something!' and from then, I kept track of her. She's crossing the barrier between heaven and hell when she trains. Oh I can't even explain her dedication. Baekhyun-ah, you know this. We were there when she slept at one of the practice rooms. In her defense, she stayed late, very late, until 8am because she's trying to complete a choreography for the monthly assessment. If that's not desperate dedication, I don't know what is." He explained and upon looking at their faces, he shrugged and said "Just saying, you guys. You can go check the CCTV's for me. That 8am thing was not a one time occurrence. Your call, whatever. I was just stating an opinion."
"I swear, Heechul, if this is one of your crazy Sulli obsession aga--" "What? No! And when was I ever obsessed about Jinr--" "Oh?" "I swear! No! What, I can't admire someone now?"

How'd she come to be more confident in her skill?
"You are my sister and you have the voice an angel would be jealous of. Keep singing. For me, for you, for the people around you." -Haneul.
"If I could be in the spotlight, you most definitely could. You're my talented angel and you're my twin sister. Fighting!" -Hanbyul.
Her siblings NEVER FAILED, NOT EVEN ONCE, to either tell this to Hana via skype or to text it to her EVERY.SINGLE.DAY. That's what kept her going. That's what became her fuel, her drive, her inspiration to share her talent and make it known to others. But unlike her siblings who encourage her everyday with positive notes, her parents are exactly the opposite.
"I can't believe you're my daughter who can't even debut. How can you prove to me that you could perform in front of an audience?" -Mom. 
"You think you can perform just because your siblings tell you you do, huh? Go on and prove it. Less talk, more action, kid." -Dad.
She doesn't know when did her parents act like this to her. They never were this harsh to her? But maybe, that's what really kept her going. She wants to prove her own parents wrong. That she's their one and only daughter who could prove not only to them, but to the world, that she could sing--and that singing is a shadow of hers whom she exhibits excellently. (Her parents aren't really so harsh. They just knew they had to push Hana past her limits for her to strive a little harder than what she's usually used to, to debut.)

This is true--in SME, Hana's voice is underestimated by her co-trainees, girls and boys alike. That's because they pay more attention to her looks that they began to think that that's what she'll only ever have--her looks and her beautiful figure, that they pay no attention whether or not does she have a talent at all.

interactions: Heechul lied when he said it wouldn't be another 'Sulli case'. In fact, he obsessed on the human rock, Hana, the first time they properly interacted. He would always makes sure that she eats properly and at times, he criticizes her trainings but that's because he wants Hana to be at her best so that nobody could find a flaw in her. "Hanana, my Hanana, don't be afraid of showing your emotions to me. It's just me, Heechul oppa. Mmkay? Ah! HAVE U EATEN HANANA I BROUGHT TUNA SANDWHICH MADE BY YOURS TRULYYYY. EAT!" 
Heechul is the real-deal older brother figure in Hana's life. It's not weird when he's spamming her inbox with "Where are you? What are you doing? Did you eat already? Who are you with? Please keep yourself safe!" messages. In fact, it seems as though it's been a routine for him already to check up on his favorite junior everyday. He likes to spoil her both with material things and his time (despite his very busy schedule). Whatever happens, Hana knows she always has her bighead oppa's back.

interactions: When Hana's family moved out from Tokyo, Japan and into Daegu, South Korea...they happened to be neighbors with the Kims; Taehyung being their son. Their first meeting was when Hana was watching the movers walk in and out of their place carrying endless boxes while Taehyung, the little boy, bounded down towards the silent little girl. He was always into dangerous or stupid stuffs, or both at the same time, and Hana's always there to save him before he got hurt...or get caught. Yes, the two of them were completely polar opposites but that worked just fine. From that first day the ever bouncing kid Taehyung met the silent Hana, they have always been by each other's side, even more than Hana and Hanbyul. When Hana moved back to Tokyo to study, Taehyung literally threw a dramatic temper and swore up and down to not contact Hana at all because "She's leaving me! Me! Her bestfriend forever! From this day on, I will never talk to her and I don't know her anymore!' But guess who called the minute Hana her phone as they landed in Japan? That's right. Kim Taehyung.

interactions: She wouldn't say they're 'stick to each other, ROD' friends, but Hana can say that she gets the ropes of Minda's personality - as much as the other girl is to her. They're not really bestfriend close but to Hana, Minda is the closest to her from the group as the girl understands and knows her personality better than anyone else. Minda is one of the very few who understands how Hana's personality works. Rivals? December Girl | - | Last member added to the group | - | December girl and Hana aren't supposed to be rivals for one: They don't know each other on a personal level and two: December girl is not someone who picks fight with someone, just no; she may be this and all but she doesn't start a fight. What more for Hana? She's the most level-headed and calm person in her group and she's known to 'throw zero s' to literally almost anything. So, what happened? The panelists, all of a sudden, decided to add this girl to the group A DAY before their debut. They even went to the extent of comparing December girl and Hana's dancing techniques. Whenever both are in a room together, they make it a point to compare the two of them and see who'd do better than the other in the future. At first, that doesn't bother them. They're co-members, afterall. And Hana is the leader, at that. But through the course of time, it went through their heads that when they bump into each other on the hallways or on schedules, it's either they throw a bland, uninterested stare to each other of even a very slight rise of the brow that's almost unnoticed except for themselves. They didn't know when exactly did that staring contest started but once it started, the tension between them grew and the desire to beat the other is practically palpable. On television, though, it doesn't show. Who's to say the two aren't professionals? They are. Point. Blank. Period.

Hoseok muttered one time when Taehyung walked off after claiming how his bestfriend forever would soon be coming home and afterwards, all they hear is a faint 'come back homeee~ can you come back home~ eh~' from the noisy boy before his voice disappears little by little. Ah, that's right. Is Taehyung sure that he's not having some kind of an imaginary friend? Well, he's got a history of talking to himself and making multpiple dialogues...talking to...well, himself.

It was the cold day of February 14, 2013 that they (BTS) finally saw Taehyung's bestfriend forever. Miraculously, Taehyung was the first one awake on that said day, perched on the kitchen counter, his laptop laid in front of him as he throws disgusting aegyeos in the screen. For some reason, all the guys woke up at the same time, probably hearing Taehyung's disgusting cooing on the kitchen and altogether, they check to see if he's gone nuts himself. Ah, but there he was. Giggling like some fifth-grader who got a kiss on the cheek from his crush as he continued to converse with the girl on what seemed to be Skype.

"Tae, stop. You're gross." With that sentence, Hoseok bursted out laughing, earning both Taehyung and the girl's attention, ultimately making Taehyung introduce BTS to his bestfriend.

"And this..." Taehyung said as he laid both his hands at the shoulder of the younggest, "...is our maknae, Jeon Jungkook! Kookie, she's my bestfriend, Hana. Sadly, she's in Japan right now..."and Jungkook didn't know, he unintentionally zoned out Taehyung's voice as he stares at the laptop screen, at Hana's image. "God, she's pretty. . ." he absent-mindedly muttered and had the others not reacted, he wouldn't realize he blurted what he's thinking. 

"Oooooo~ maknae fell in-crush at first sight~~~" They teased.

Well, damn him.

Interactions:
After Jungkook's embarassing act infront of his hyung and Hana, the next time he saw Hana was on flesh. The day her group is set to debut on Inkigayo. And from there, BTS had secretly kept in touch with her and probably, her group. The only one ever afraid to approach her was Jungkook himself. Could you blame him? After that stunt he pulled? But aja! He needs to man up or else Jimin might steal her from him. Hmp!

STATUS: Jungkook, the obviously whipped senior. Need I say more? (Oh, BTS gets a kick out of this, by the way.)

ENDING: I don't know? Surprise me, I guess? Kkk, although I want them to end together, please :3

Random Trivias:
Jungkook often finds himself stuttering whenever Hana talks to him; again, could you blame him? He's shy to girls and not used to them - much more pretty ones.
One time, the hyungs are proud of him for holding a decent conversation with Hana. Their topic? Anime. Real cool, Jungkook. Real cool.
Knowing how ARMYs are to BTS, the boys avoid talking about Hana on interviews. Taehyung only results to pertaining to her as 'my bestfriend'. One time, Jungkook had a slip up and said Ha--ah...o-our s-stylist.
Because Jungkook is sensitive to smells and Hana knew that (through Taehyung and his big mouth, of course), she constantly asks him whenever if he's around, if she smells alright. Making the poor guy blush in many shades of red.
When he knew that Hana was a ballerina, his crush intensifies. Even more, when he learned she used to take up pre-law in Keio nonetheless, before she started training, his admiration for her grew.
Jungkook bought Hana tampons once (Taehyung was supposed to do it, and he'd gladly do it in a heartbeat but it just so happened that he had other errands to attend to so he harrassed the maknae to buy in place of him instead). At first, he swore he'll never do that, ever. Never again. But when he saw how painful it is for Hana to even move around when her curse of the month happened, he vowed to give her everything she wants and needs as long as she'll be okay at the least.
Hana likes to wear Jungkook's shirts. (Well, Taehyung's originally, but Jungkook has heard of this so...you probably know about his jealous and antics.)
As their friendship progresses, Jungkook likes to put his snapbacks on Hana, saying they look good on her. (And since Jungkook has this huge crush on Hana, it's practically his own secret way of secretly owning her without her knowing.)
He's a sweetball who never fails to send Hana flowers everyday, even if they're simple, one long stemmed rose.
Because she is a great cook, Jungkook receives home-cooked lunch and dinner (if they're that busy) everyday. Home-cooked breakfast is a plus too, if he requests early. Making her cook for the whole BTS, because they send her text complaints about how Jungkook doesn't want to share his meals. (Also, "How dare you? She's my bestfriend! Wait, I'm calling he---" "No, hyung!"
-Jimin is a greasy whenever it comes to her. He winks at her at the most unexpected times and follows it up with a cheesy smile, making Jungkook secretly fume inside. Best believe, when Hana is out of view and earshot, Jimin is so gonna get IT.
