appearance The maknae stands at 169 cm and she weighs just 48kg - she claims that's because she's young, her metabolism still works fast. One look at her face and people are usually charmed by how cute her features are.

For practice sessions, she usually wears one of her many black tracksuits and pairs is along with any short-sleeved shirt. She wears her usual trainers and off she goes to practice.

When she's out, Jiseul's style can be said to be just casual. Short, skinny jeans, sweaters and t-shirts are the main items fans see her wear on a regular basis. Although once in a while Jiseul likes to try something new - such as the time she wore a floral dress and the time she decided to wear overalls - she doesn't do it often as she prioritizes her comfort more. She likes to wear colours, nothing too bright but tones of blue and red are her main likes.

For accessories, she wears tinted sunglasses and her must have is her ring necklace - a gift from a very close friend of hers.

Jiseul is known to be a caring person. She doesn't show it much but from her actions, you know that she cares about those around her. Being the youngest, she gets taken care of a lot by the older members but she helps them out in ways that she can. She's also considered to be very hardworking as she works hard to juggle her studies as well as her idol life to make sure she gets the best of both worlds. Maybe it's because of her being surrounded by plenty of people older than her but Jiseul is also very respectful towards those around her - whether they're younger or older. She's careful with her words and makes sure she doesn't do/say anything that would offend others. Perhaps it's because of her young age that Jiseul is dub to be very energetic - there's not a dull moment when she's around. She can't stand to stay still for a long time, she'll find a way to burn off the energy that she has.

In an industry where people are constantly trying to get to the top, it's no wonder Jiseul has a very over-competitive spirit. Whether it's dance, rap or even stage presence, Jiseul has a knack to think everything is somewhat a competition to her. She also tends to act impulsively at times - not thinking through and just going with what she feels at the moment. To her, time stops for no one so she doesn't really take the time to carefully plan out anything and acts on her own will. It's one of the things the older members scold her about repeatedly and she's working to get it right. Being at a sensitive age, Jiseul often thinks of herself to be quite timid. She stays quiet most of the time during discussions and doesn't really speak much about her feelings which have led to a few frustrating arguments with other people. 

Background Jiseul was born as the oldest sibling of her family and therefore she endured a lot for being the eldest. Her parents had high expectations of her to become someone with a professional career - someone that they could be proud of, like a doctor or a lawyer. They wanted her to set a good example for her younger sibling and pushed her towards that goal. 

It was when she was around 9 years old did she realise that she had an interest in becoming an idol. As Jeonju was a famous landmark and held festivals, she often caught glimpses of actors, actresses and idols alike passing by her hometown. She would often wonder what it was like to be them - someone well known to the public and loved by everyone. And as if fate heard her heart's small wishes, her parents had them moved to Seoul when she was 10 years old so she could enrol into a better school. 

Behind her parent's back, she would train her singing and dancing skills with her best friend. They helped each other to get better and better with each practice session they did after school and even the school was aware of their little secret. Many people thought that the two of them were bound to debut together someday, seeing how they made such a perfect duet. 

At the age of 11, the pair performed at a competition and came in second place. It was also the day where Jiseul was scouted and contacted by a SM representative - claiming that they wanted her to audition for them. At first, she was hesitant but after her best friend constantly pushing her to head on to the audition - saying that this would be a wasted opportunity if Jiseul hadn't at least tried - Jiseul decides to audition to SM. 

She gets accepted and that's when she realises, her dreams are one step from coming true.

younger sister Yoo  Jieun || 10 years old || Jiseul's biggest fan and supporter as she calls herself. Jieun often calls Jiseul to talk to her about mundane things and often expresses her love for her older sister. She likes to pester Jiseul to teach her how to dance to Statice's choreo.

FATHER Yoo Jaeho || 44 years old || Although he is still not very happy with Jiseul's decision to become an idol, he's still there to support her by sending her texts and video snippets so she doesn't feel homesick a lot. 

MOTHER  Jang Hana || 40 years old || She loves Jiseul very much and has her posters around the house to show her admiration for her eldest daughter. Often brags about Jiseul to her neighbourhood friends. She brings Jieun to Jiseul's performances whenever they can.

EX-BEST FRIEND Kim Haewon || Student ||  17 years old || Once she was a very caring and supportive friend that was Jiseul's most trusted person in the entire world. She wanted to become an idol but couldn't seem to land a successful audition anywhere. Still talks to Jiseul but claims they aren't as close anymore.

CLOSE FRIEND || Zhong Chenle || NCT Dream member || 18 years old || Due to them being close in age, Chenle and Jiseul are good friends. They hangout often, along with Jisung and their friendship is known for being somewhat similar to Tom and Jerry. They always seem to be bickering about something but it's never serious, just to annoy one another.

CLOSE FRIEND Lee Daehwi || Idol || 18 years old ||  Someone that Jiseul went to school with and ended up becoming close to him over the years. He's a supportive friend who knows about Jiseul and Haewon's falling it so he's there to remind her about the brighter things in life.    

GROUPMATE Autumn Chan || Idol || 23 years old ||  A group member that Jiseul admits is like a second mother to her. A mother-like person who takes good care of the members and Jiseul think she's one of the most greatest people she's ever met. GROUPMATE Eo Haneul || Idol || 19 years old || One of the louder people of the group, Jiseul doesn't talk much to her because their personality are on different scales. However, the two of them are on good terms as Haneul is the social butterfly of the group. Usually screams Haneul's name whenever she sees a bug because she's gotten used to Haneul killing them off for her. 

personality Jisung is possibly the epitome of a dork. He's shy and quiet at first but once he opens up to you, there's no going back. A humble and down to earth person who cares for the people around him. Although he's a bit naive at times, he tries his best to be the best version of himself that he can be.

love story Their first meeting wasn't anything special. They trained under the same company so they had a couple of mutual friends which would ultimately lead them to meeting each other. They hit off well for their first meeting, everyone thought it was because they were the same age. Both Jisung and Jiseul were accepted into SM around the same time so it was normal for them to become close to each other. 

Jisung was always pretty awkward with girls but he was surprisingly cool with Jiseul. Both of them would hangout outside of the company, going out for movies and the mall. It would just be them hanging out with one another - not really developing any feelings for one another until much later into their friendship.

Both of them debuted at an early age so most of their talks would be how they understood how the expectations for them were high. They confided into one another about the doubts and worries they had that they didn't want to tell the other members. They became their pillars to lean on whenever times got rough. 

Jisung took the first move in confessing his feelings for her after they performed for a special stage. He knew it was a risk, a gamble and possible something he would regret doing so - SM was strict on dating, especially within their own company. It's when Jiseul starts crying that she feels the same way is when he's certain he'll do everything he can to ensure that both of them will be safe.
