Wedding Dreams

Can you believe I'm at that age?

Anyway; this blogpost is going to be picture and full of dreams and no, nobody proposed to my - it's just me dreaming because I have a couple of coworkers who are getting married this summer.

Wedding dreams uwu

I want a grand wedding. Seriously, like I should probably start saving right now just so I can get married 10 years in the future lol. Unless, of course, I marry someone rich as heck. In which case, show up gorgeous rich person~

Anyway uwuwu This is also a little inspired by Âmes Soeurs because it features a wedding and I spent a lot of time planning that for Kibum and Jinki.

I want two wedding dresses. I know, I know, it sounds grand and it is ing grand.

I want something like this, like something truly princess-y and dreamy and made of fairytales. With a long tow. Because the church I really want to get married in has these stone stairs leading towards it and it would look amazing. I'm not set on a specific dress, I just know I want it to have a long tow, really. And I look best in sleeves so some kind of top with laces and sleeves would probably suit me super well. Either way, yes.

Something like this really. I have a couple of pictures and ideas for the dress. Heh.

The big princess dress is for the church only. Like imagine striding up in a dress like those above - you'd look like heaven and a goddess. So that's for the church and then we'd take pictures afterwards because a dress with such a long tow would be a pain in the later while you're eating or dancing or going to the bathroom or whatever.

(And a dress like that is gonna cost 4000+ USD)

So after the ceremony at the church and after pictures, I'd change the dress! To another wedding dress, but this time more simple and easier to walk around in. So it'd be like I'm this gorgeous princess and then for the reception and the party, it'd be a lot more practical.

Perhaps something like these two with the second having less tow than that. So it's simple but still beautiful of course. But also a bit more practical. Something you can also go to the bathroom in without needing 5 people to hold your dress lmao.

(If I have a million bucks saved up I might even buy a third dress, a short dress for when the night really takes off and before we "elope" from the ceremony lmao)

Even though I've mentioned the church (and I really would love a church wedding), I also wouldn't mind too much if it wasn't a church wedding as such but in a forest. It'd just be so complicated in a forest with a long-towed dress so I have to reconsider that. Either way, I want the nature there.

The color theme would be brown, green and blue, I think. Because of nature, lmao. And brown/green is such a peaceful combination of colors. It's just so soothing. And it leaves for a lot of awesome ideas when it comes to decorating.

I'm honestly pretty hooked on tulle fabric strewn across light posts or hanging from the ceiling combined with small lights. It looks super romantic! It's really really cute. So there would definitely be some kind of variation of this. uwu

And this would look awesome as a centerpiece. If a buffet, then the food would be placed around. If not, I'd find something else. This looks amazing and it's so grand without being too over the top.

And this is such a cute idea so I'd have to incorporate that into the wedding. Maybe it'd be beside the guest book-ish. Actually, I'm thinking of two different kind of guestbooks-things.

A puzzle like this in one way or another with a greeting on every piece. I love jigsaw puzzles so what better way than creating a memory of one. You can always glue the pieces together and put them in a frame. Or well, if you don't want to you can put it in a little box and still have the guest book with you in a fun way.

And then something like the picture-thing. It's mostly for a fun time and to have something to remember people by. Writing their names on cards and asking them to replace it with a photo of themselves really produces fun memories. People can do whatever they want and I'd have something to remember them by afterwards. Of course there would be a professional photographer at the reception and definitely at the ceremony as well - but memories are made with those we love and I think it's a sweet idea.

I also want to place a few sparklers at each seat so the guests can light them up when the sun sets. Another way to have fun and hopefully avoid the annoying Danish tradition of throwing rice everywhere. Get your sparkler and have fun with it and leave my house free of rice. T_T

And I want to place one of these with each seat as well.

Just for the fun of it, really. There's no price to the one who gets it right but it's just a little something fun throughout the evening. I KNOW my family will make songs and games and speeches as well because they're that kind of family for a wedding, but hey, they don't get to choose all the fun, haha. And I guess I'm a little more lowkey than doing something loud. uwu

I would also like a small live band as opposed to a DJ. And I want Miracles of December, classical version, played at my wedding because I love love love that song so uwu oh well, there has to be some strings in that band. Idk. I ing love Miracles in December so yeah, I want that played.

And I think I'm going to ask my sisters to be my bridesmaids. I have friends and stuff as well, but idk, it just feels like - yeah, I want my sisters to be my bridesmaid. It's a small bridal party but it's close and I know they're the greatest!

Aaaaaaaaaah, I want to get married, lmao. I want a partner. D: Don't mind me. >.<'

Damn girl. You got your whole wedding planned out and it's GRAND as hell. Yeah you've said it already but damn, it's grand GRAND. I can't wait for you to meet your lucky man! Having sisters as bridesmaid is such a blessing! Like seriously! I'd use mine as my bridesmaid if I ever get married as well. And did you really just say Danish tradition of throwing rice is annoying? HOWWWW? That's the real heaven. I'd probably come to Denmark for my rice instead of buying them from stores. Plus I'm going to use that 'date idea in a jar' in my story :P Thanks for the inspiration xD And I can't freaking agree more with this: "And brown/green is such a peaceful combination of colors." Brown and green are the only colors that matters to me xD

Oh, oh and get married already! I want to see you in all them dresses!

It sounds like it's going to be a beautiful wedding, but you're right - it's going to be crazy expensive!

My wife and I had a very small wedding, because that suits our personalities, but I certainly understand why some people want a big wedding.

Now you've just got to find your partner! ;-)
