Seri has a personality that kind of confuses people because she is everything all at once. She’s known for her "different" personality, however, it's not that she's completely weird, it's more that she is expressive and seems to not be afraid to make a fool out of herself. She’s not afraid to cry and show her emotions; her vulnerable side. Some may like it for it shows that she’s genuine but some may dislike it because they find it as “too sensitive”. And her mind never stops and is always filled with thoughts and dreams and this can also make her overthink events or situations. seri was born in LA, California, US. Her parents were good and always spent time with her and her older siblings when they got back from their overseas work, despite being so tired. Around the time of her 8th birthday, her parents got a divorce, which devastated young Seri. Anyone would suspect it was due to their busy schedules, but no it wasn't that. Their mother seemed to be unfaithful and was hiding a lover on the side. Not only hurt by her mother's betrayal to her father but angry as well, since her mother didn't stop seeing that bastard, unlike her older siblings who wasn’t much affected, Seri acted when her mother got custody of her and her siblings. The sweet and angelic little girl that her mother had known was completely gone, and she couldn't stand for it, so she sent her along with her siblings for them to live with their father instead.
In Jeju Island, South Korea, Seri had gotten better. She improved her grades and she gradually went back to her old self. She also met a friend during middle school whom she'd always watch sing and dance along to K-pop songs and slowly Seri found herself immersed. Then one day, her friend told her about YG’s auditions and told her to come with her and give it a try, and so Seri did. She got in as a trainee and trained for 5 years. During her time as a trainee, she appeared in several TV commercials, music videos, and even a K-Drama. When Blackpink debuted August 8th, 2016, fans immediately fell in love with Seri for her talent and her looks. The group achieved success and recognition. Many of their albums and singles topped charts like Gaon Album Chart, Billboard World Albums, and etc. They have received several awards for music, choreography, or popularity, including the Golden Disc New Artist Award, Seoul Music Best New Artist Award, and etc. So, it’s obvious they have a big fan base.

history:
The two first met backstage of a music show when Blackpink just debuted and Monsta X made a comeback and they’d keep on crossing paths during other music and award shows. They’d always just exchange simple greetings then go on. Then one day last year, Seri joined her friend on a blind double date. It was obvious to Seri that Shownu, who was one of the dates, was dragged into this. So in order to make him feel more comfortable, Seri initiated conversation with him and the two hit it off. They started out as friends at first and gradually moved to secretly dating, with only each other’s members knowing about the relationship. So by now, they’ve been successfully secretly a couple for almost 7 months. Their relationship progressed fast and so they’ve been intimate twice.
When Seri was told by her manager that she was going to be joining the successful idol romance show, she was uncertain but she couldn’t refuse the offer cause it would be suspicious. So she decided to tell Shownu about it so he could get a heads-up and assure him. However, she couldn’t get in touch with him, not in call or text. In the end, she thought that she’d tell him later. So when she went to the show, it was indeed a great surprise to her to see Shownu there too. Seri was beyond frustrated that the other not only didn’t reply to her calls or text but also didn’t bother telling her that he’s appearing on the show. It also made her feel insecure about their relationship, that maybe Shownu isn’t happy with it anymore.

Shownu is without a doubt an introvert, his nature and behavior are unwavering pretty much in any situation. He is usually quiet, thus sparking the joke about him being a human-robot. It is not easy for him to be expressive via words or give visible emotional reactions even amongst people he knows very well. He always apologizes for being quiet, inexpressive and not charismatic enough, that atmosphere drops whenever he speaks, and that he is led by s. Shownu is very sensitive to hunger, his mood swings when he wants to eat, he becomes restless and irritated.
He may be clumsy with spoken word but he is a brilliant, talented and hard-working performer, dedicated friend and leader. Shownu’s loyal, easygoing, dutiful, steadfast and responsible, cares deeply for those in his life (family & friends) and can go to great lengths for them. throughout these couple days, after many ups and downs (and an almost-breakup), the two resolve their misunderstanding at the end. so when it comes to the last scene where they have to pick their partner, the two pick each other.

Despite being opposites, one is quiet and calm while the other is expressive and active, the two complement each other well. Seri would initiate conversation and she doesn’t mind it. She understands the other’s nature and would do her best to make him comfortable and show him that he can speak and open up. Seri does get frustrated sometimes from Shownu’s inexpressiveness and having to constantly decipher what he’s feeling (which she’s gotten good at), but she’d never force it out of him knowing that that’s just who he is so she’d be considerate in that part of him. And Shownu does notice this and when he does, he’d immediately try to make up for it in some way. When they first started dating, Seri went all-in with the skinship while Shownu took time to get used to it but eventually he did. So now, the two are completely fine and would reciprocate each other’s skinship. In public before, the two only showed that they’re close friends.
