APPEARANCE yide in overall is pretty normal looking for someone applying as an idol. her has normal height, normal weight and a pretty normal personality. she considers herself pretty average and people think that she's beautiful, but not strikingly. the kind of beauty that she possess is the casual kind, the one that you're familiar with and doesn't make you think that she's a goddess. yes she does look like a doll in some angle and moments, but she paid no attention to her visuals. although people was taken aback with her inability to smile more, they think she will have everyone on their knees with her beaming and all of those smiley stuffs. but the thing that makes her strike out is her athletic body. being professional ballet dancer makes her body sculpted. she has biceps, really strong thighs and a well managed body. it shows how she dedicate herself to the lifestyle. but it's easy to spot the girl with the wavy jet black hair and the yellow bandana that she always wear

FASHION STYLE her everyday style is what you call uniqlo style, which means minimalistically stylish. but she also likes to mix and match & sometimes creates a more unique style of it. she doesn't really mind any colour. if it fits, if it suits, it goes with her. during practice, she mostly just wear a lot of baggy clothes and black tights. during contemporary practice she uses sweater, shorts and knee pads. she rarely uses socks for contemporary because she feels weird if she's doing contemporary and not feel the cold floor against the skin of her foot. during ballet practice she wears her black long sleeve leotard, yellow mustard leg warmer and all the other clothing for the practice. yide also has a habit to keep her nails black, no matter what the situation is

PERSONALITY
who exactly is song yide? she's the kind of girl that sits on the corner of the class that rarely participates in anything that's related to 'talking' or 'discussion'.  she's not anti-social nor is she socially awkward nor is she shy or scared to socialise, she just...doesn't talk. it's a bit different from the people she knows, she does talk, but has limited dictionaries. it's more like, what she says is not what she feels. for example she wants to say 'oh i see what you're talking about, i'm interested in this conversation and i would like to talk more about it' but all that she says is 'oh...alright'. she doesn't understand how people think that it's rude, she just wish that people would accept that she's just really silent. she's the kind of person who spaces out often. the girl who just sits there and be in her own world, and stays there for the longest time. sometimes even when someone already calls her back to reality, she will just stare at them with her wide eyes and people could see a glimpse of the world she yearns for before she broke out her stance. she's the girl who's active. and not the girl who's active at social things, she's the girl who's always doing something every single day of every single week. she couldn't stay still, one of her body parts must be moving. you can't force her body to stay silent. she's the friend that is considerate. she might not be the kind of people who's all friendly or cordial, but she tolerates a lot of people and a lot of things. maybe because she has a lot of hope for each individual. she's someone who doesn't judge immediately. she believes in hearing the story from two sides and putting herself in someone else's shoes, she's really good at that. so when someone is talking bad or good about someone, she doesn't immediately believe it until she sees it for herself

two contradicting things about her. she's one hell of a good lie-maker, but she's not one who's willing to lie without a price. the truth always comes out, that's why she never dares to lie in things that are major. she can lie about the date of an assignment's deadline or her whereabouts, but even if she can, the chance for her to lie about something really big is 2%. now the problem is to choose on who she will dedicate those 2% for; herself or someone else?

it's not easy to piss someone as calm-headed and 'not bound to earth' like yide, but if you do bother her then it's most likely because you're all up in her space or you're just plainly too annoying for her to handle. and thus when she is pissed, she doesn't filter her words and her ability to come up with long sentences suddenly comes alive. it became more like a trademark; her annoyed face and her cutthroat comments became something that the people around her found amusing. it's not something that is rare, she just doesn't roast people on a daily basis. maybe because people find it scary to piss off someone as quiet as her so even though they're laughing, they may not want to risk a fuming yide

are you wondering what kind of thoughts goes through her when she spaces out? besides from the world that she yearns, worst case scenario is something that she thinks about. things like 'what if a plane crashes to the building? will i survive?' 'what if there's a drunk driver and i'll be in a car accident?' 'what if there's an earthquake?' 'what if i went into a comma?' those are the thoughts that makes her furrowing her eyebrows. she is someone who is prone to negativity. maybe because of her flat expression, people don't think much about it; but it's often for her to have negative thoughts haunting her all the time. she judges herself often and she usually puts someone else's negative thoughts into hers. she's that prone even if people around her are sad or mad, even though she looks normal, she could feel the negativity flowing through her thoughts. she's really affected, she just doesn't look like it. she's, unexpectedly, the crybaby. of course, she doesn't show it. but when she's alone, oh boy does the tears go down. she's quite strong to hold her emotions in check but she turns so sensitive when she's alone. she's someone that could see someone fall and then she would be the one who's crying. when the trainees is getting lectured or when a coach is mad at the whole class, not just her (or sometimes not her at all), she's 10% away from shedding a tear. she learns to grow up little by little, but the crybaby inside is still there. she's someone who's rarely honest to herself. ironic right? feelings for her are complicated, but her brain always dominates it. she makes it complicated for her by respecting her feelings and agreeing with her brain at the same time, even if they're polar opposites. she ends up not knowing which one is right and which one is wrong. and her brain manipulates her feelings into lying to herself, and she's always conscious when she's lying to herself

BACKGROUND 
yide or adressed by her french name yvonne was born when the rest of her family came out from the conflict that binds them. she was without a father, as her mother was tired of being bruised and her sister was being paid no attention from the good-for-nothing father. the world where she was born, was the world that she yearns for. even though she's fatherless, her family was loving and the farm that she lived in was everything that she could ever hoped for. but it changed as her mother has a new job and moved to paris. the world that became her perfection crumbles into pieces. even though she never complained much, it was clear that she has trouble adapting with her surroundings. yvonne remembered crying a lot and refuses to go to her new school at the first week which causes headache to her dear madre. yvonne was sure spoiled but her sister made sure that it changes when she's in paris. with the help of her sister, she's slowly able to adapt to the new metropolitan life. even though it's hard, typical yvonne doesn't show it. but it went well as she befriends a girl with the name of vivienne. vivienne was the first person that introduces her to ballet when she's a young age. yvonne at first only cared about sports and her grades, never really thought about dancing that much. but since vivienne is very...'persuasive', yvonne was able to get herself into something that she will never thought will make her life spiral into what it is now. she find herself enjoying ballet and making time to rearrange her whole entire schedule to fit in a twice a week ballet practice. she's a natural at it, probably not as good as her friend yvonne but she was learning rather quick and it's not too long before she fell in love with it

the news came unexpectedly when her mother was relocated to her workplace's branch in korea. in short, madre got a promotion so yvette and dearest yvonne has to move away from paris. which means more adapting to do even after she's getting used to living in the metropolitan city. once again, typical yvonne didn't complain much but the change in her personality came back. sure she took the adapting quite well and got more used to being called yide by someone else other than her beloved madre, but she was still a bit withdrawn. it eventually carried out for the rest of her personality, but she took it better than before and didn't throw any tantrums much to her sister's pride ('i've taught her well!' she thought to herself). but even with that, she still felt a little somber towards all the moving and adapting, so her madre found a solution towards this problem; ballet. with that in mind, she enrolled to korea national ballet academy at the of 9, auditioned and accepted to be a student and apprentice. one day when she came to class, her teacher remarked playfully at her and two other student at their choices of outerwear; the same exact sweaters with different colours. yide being yellow, the cheeky looking girl's red and the sharp eyed tall girl being blue. the teacher said that they're the 'primary colour gang'. and thus from thereon, the primary trinity met and befriended each other. ever since that, their clothing in their classes together had been of those colours respectively and got known in the academy for being extremely talented ballerinas and extremely close to each other.

the idol life never came to her mind until both of her best friends brought it up about how some of her friends became a trainee and she wants to give it a try to, since the both of them does want to be an idol. this matter brought it into yide's mind and she thought about it. she heard rumours that the trainee life is harsh, and idol life is harsher. yet she couldn't help but think "is it really that hard?". so she just auditioned while accompanying her friends. her friends, of course, got in and she, unexpectedly, got in too. it took yide off guard (in which she doesn't show it) and contemplate whether she wanted to really do this or not

welp she's here now, so she did it. and it was really not as she expected it to be

older sister % song yo ra/yvette gwenaëlle beauvoir (fc: girl's day hyeri) 25 % guitarist and university student; majors in botanical % that one tiny girl who's really explosive and bad tempered, but kind anyway % yide and yora are the polar opposites. yide is silent, yora is super loud. yide can control her emotions, yora is explosive sometimes you wonder if she's a time bomb waiting to explode. yide is neutral, yora is a cynic. yide supresses her feelings, yora is straightforward. the more explanations goes the more clear that yora is the strong side between the sisters. beside yide being more physically capable and active, yora's mental state is more stable and balanced than her little sister's. besides her rough exterior, yora is yide's guide throughout her life. she helped yide with adapting and was there in pretty much every single moments where she breaks down. she had seen yide in her true form and had helped her get through it. yide admires her sister, mostly because of her confidence and the fact that she's able to speak her mind. she envies it, sometimes she wishes to be yora instead


best friend % ahn choo yoo (fc; red velvet yeri) 21 % yg trainee/ballerina % typical happy-go-lucky girl, the bad influence that everyone needs % chooyoo is a part of the primary trinity that consists of yide, chooyoo and signe & the 3 of them has been best friends since they met in the ballet academy. she's one of the very few people who could make yide laugh, ranging from the small smile to the actual laugh that makes your stomach fumbles. probably one of the few person that honestly didn't mind her not talking at all. despite chooyoo being extremely social and talkative, you would expect chooyoo to be awkward with someone like yide. but chooyoo doesn't mind it, sometimes she finds her silence to be comfortable. chooyoo is smart when it's about observing things, and she knows the language that yide speaks is body language. nevertheless she kept on encouraging yide to talk too so that yide won't depend on her to be her voice. besides being her buddy all the time and the one who influenced her to be an idol, she's also the friend that helps her 'loosen up'. mostly chooyoo takes her to night clubs where she usually hangs out whenever she has the time. people take her as a bad influence for yide, but yide think she needs the bad influence. outside their relationship, chooyoo is really competitive. one of the most hard working person you'll ever meet. but she takes everything as a challenge, and she just doesn't know how to lose


best friend % signe 'sin' annaliese hansen-young (fc; loona jinsoul) 21 % yg trainee / ballerina % even though she can be a bit snarky and has a 'done-with-your-bs' attitude, she is very protective towards her friends % signe is a part of the primary trinity that consists of yide, chooyoo and signe & the 3 of them has been best friends since they met in the ballet academy. signe is more or less has the same personality as yide, the similarities being the both of them having lack of words to say. however signe's reason as to why she doesn't speak a lot is because she feels that she doesn't need to waste her breath. and while chooyoo knows how to make yide loosen up, signe knows how to empathise with her demons. she gives a lot of tough mother love towards the duckling that made yide reminiscent towards her older sister and to the fact that the both of them came from foreign countries, which is why she tends to lean towards the swedish girl when it comes to emotional advice. signe's and chooyo's relationship can be described as 'a couple that has been together for too long', equal amount of arguing and loving. it doesn't help when the both of them are competitive, yide usually has to be in the middle of them

@ ducks; ducks has been her favourite animal since she was a little baby. she used to have little ducklings back when she lived at the countryside, you can see her eyes twinkle whenever she sees one

@ food; most ballerinas has a strict diet, that doesn't exclude yide however there's nothing she wouldn't do for food. she admires and worship the existence of food. when asked what's her comfort food she'll say "anything i could eat is my comfort food"

@ misunderstanding; mostly people who misunderstoods her silence as a sign of shyness or social anxiety even though in reality she just doesn't talk much
@ drama; drama gives her headache. she likes to watch drama though, but she doesn't like to be a part of the drama
@ not moving; it drives her craazy
@ social subjects; although she's okay with economics, she hates social subjects cause she has to give more effort to think. things like math and chemistry has formulas and there's only one answer to the end result. but social subjects requires more thinking and applying everyday logic. there's only right or wrong for her, there are no grey-areas. so things such as criminal who does a bad thing for the greater good gives a headache to her head

@ pain; she doesn't understand the concept of 'good pain' or 'pleasure pain'. some people tried to explain to her that it's like the pain that you feel after you run a mile and your muscle tenses until it hurts and yide is just like "...it's just pain for me, there's nothing good in that kind of pain"
@ overthinking; she doesn't show it and talk about it much but it does did her quite the harm of it. in which something that she hasn't yet to embrace just yet
@ passive-aggressive; if you have something to tell her, just say it. you don't have to play the passive-aggressive card with her, she's not that dumb, she'll see when you do that to her. so either you directly say it to her or she'll flat out ignore you cause she got no time to deal with your bull

HABITS

@ her french comes out when she's pissed
@ she sighs whenever she makes a mistake or realises when something has gone wrong
@ rolls her thumbs, plays with her fingers and taps her foot when she feels like she's going crazy with the lack of activity that her body does
@ her muscle memory makes her automatically think of wanting to run whenever she's in a distress. running makes her think clearly thus it becomes a habit to her

@ dancing; of course, it's something that she does for a living
@ poetry; as it was said before, she usually transfer her words that's in the tip of her tongue to the tip of the pen. she never quite write lyrics before but she's a master in the poetry degree

TRAINING BACKGROUND dance evaluation came off easy to her, as a matter of fact it became quite a shock to their mentors. they thought that she would lack of expression because her normal state of hers is always remains in one expression. but she proved them wrong of course. vocal evaluation was a lot harder for her because she never tested her vocals before since she was too busy moving her body. she was awful at first but she slowly develops little by little. yet there are no tremendous improvements in her vocals so far so she will need to practice a lot if she wants some lines. they do find her deep vocals charming, and they think they can get more from it. same thing goes to her rapping as she has no prior experience in it. now that it is known that her expression is a matter of choice, the company pushes her into acting to help with her expression and to make her have more experience other than just dancing. however it doesn't really help as she only progressed a bit and she doesn't really have any interest in acting.

she treated her training life the same way she did when she did ballet full time; came first in the morning, do stretching and warm ups then go about the day according to schedule. if she has extra time, she meet up with the primary trinity and do some ballet routines together, or other styles so that they'll be more flexible towards change. yg wants her to do other dance styles than the strict and restrictive nature of ballet, so she starts to venture out more towards contemporary, urban and heels class. she has hip hop training, but she has difficulty following through the style.
