Jihyun is a reserved girl and will appear cold and unfriendly at first but she just takes time to warm up to people. Once she has warmed up to you though, you will enjoy being around her because she is very cheerful and always laughing and smiling, especially during variety shows, live shows and VLives. Furthermore, Jihyun is optimistic and always tries to look on the bright side of a situation, and will never fail to give you encouragement when you are feeling down. Jihyun is also very selfless and puts her members before herself, even if it means sacrificing herself for them, and she will stand up for them and stick with them no matter what because she has a strong sense of loyalty. Joohyun would also play albums of second generation artistes like Super Junior and SNSD, and Jihyun later became a fan of SNSD. Joohyun was accepted to SM Entertainment as a trainee in 2009 when Jihyun was 11, and the latter made the mistake of telling all her school friends that her big sister was going to be an idol causing them to ostracise her as they felt she was arrogant for "bragging" about it. Jihyun learnt her lesson and when she moved on to middle school, she would not talk to anyone unless they talked to her first, and even then, she tried not to overshare.
After Jihyun came across the cover duo Jayesslee while randomly browsing Youtube in 2010, Jihyun too wanted to learn the guitar and begged her parents for guitar lessons, which they agreed to give her because she promised them she'd become a popular idol like Irene. Jihyun later created a Youtube channel where she covered several songs, and was later noticed by a scouter of SM Entertainment in 2014.

TRAINING LIFE Jihyun had just started high school when she started training, and because she was late for practices due to school, she was punished to run 10 rounds around the practise room while singing. She also cried often because of the harsh trainings, and when other trainees were mean to her as they were competing with her to debut as fast as possible. However, she believed if her sister could do it, she could do it too. Finally, in 2016, she debuted in the new girl group Lumiere.
REACTION TO BOYCOTT Jihyun was upset at first but with encouragement from the other members (and maybe Irene) she decided to work harder.

THE STORY Amuse was promoting their summer single Dance The Night Away on music shows at the same time that Lumiere was promoting Red Flavor, and Jihyun bumped into Erika backstage. Jihyun apologised and Erika accepted. Jihyun thought Erika was pretty and cute and decided to go to Amuse's backstage room to say goodbye. Amuse and Lumiere continued to have comebacks at the same time which provided more opportunities for Jihyun and Erika to meet, and they started hanging out in each others' backstage rooms during shows, and eventually exchanged numbers (no, it was not through a sandwich).

COMMENTS I know this doesn't look very summerish but I thought for bright colours for summer and neon because luminous, and I wanted to have a black background so the album has a "glow in the dark" feel.
