Taeri usually takes a positive approach to her activities, especially if they are ones she enjoys. Sad is not a word you can use to describe Taeri, she has a smile on her face and brings sunshine wherever she goes. She loves talking to people and getting to know them, and likewise, everyone she meets loves getting to know her.

However, she usually neglects responsibilities in favour of having fun, and often doesn't do things that need to be done because she just finds them unenjoyable. She also has a tendency to do things without thinking, often only to regret later once the consequences fall on her. Furthermore, she likes making plans for things she enjoys, but often hastily and again, ends up regretting them when the maintenance becomes too tedious and / or they don't seem fun anymore. She usually has loud vocal reactions to shocking or exciting situations or news, and it can sometimes be annoying to others.

Taeri has a curious nature and loves learning new things, but as they say, curiousity kills the cat, and sometimes Taeri gets upset when she finds out things that disappoint her, and her curiousity is also mistaken as invasiveness. She loves her loved ones more than she loves herself, but then again, when bad things happen to them, it makes her very upset. It's difficult for her to keep to one task at a time, and even though she claims to be a good multitasker, she usually ends up producing substandard work due to the limited time she had to focus on each task. She doesn't like being held by hard rules and enjoys living life at her own pace, and this is a problem for her when she breaks rules unintentionally, neglects responsibilities or has to stick to routines.

bckground. Taeri is the only child of a Korean couple who migrated to Singapore and opened a Korean restaurant there. Growing up was mostly peaceful for Taeri, and as an only child she was spoilt by her parents. However, when she was in her second year of primary school, K-pop suddenly exploded, and along with it, Koreaboos. Naturally, Taeri, being Korean became their target for them to take out their obsession. The poor girl, only 8 years old, was traumatised by them declaring their "love" for her.

To solve this problem, Taeri was transferred from a neighbourhood school to an all-girls school, where students were more mature for their age. However, Taeri wasn't exactly as mature as them and ended up being treated like a younger sister by most of her classmates, even though they were the same age as her. She didn't seem to mind, though, enjoying being doted on by them.

Taeri became a fan of J-pop in 2015 when she watched the drama Code Blue on TV, particularly Toda Erika. No reason, she just thought Erika was cute. It wasn't, however, until a year later that she got into K-pop, when she heard Gfriend's rough during the interval between her parents' Kdramas on tv. She was instantly captured by the upbeat melody which contrasted the sweet lyrics.

Taeri tried auditioning for SM Entertainment in 2016, and although she was rejected from the audition, a scouter from White Light Entertainment was present. He praised Taeri for trying her best and said he believed she could improve with practise, and invited her to join White Light Entertainment. Although worried about her education at first, Taeri's parents eventually allowed her to join, so long as she could balance idol life and her studies, as they would want her to at least finish high school once they moved to Korea, and she promised them she would. In 2017, she was added to the lineup for Prism, a 12-member girl group. And she couldn't believe it when she found out Toda Erika's younger sister was in the group. Unfortunately, her great love for Erika, and how expressive she was about it, was exactly what kept getting her into conflicts with that girl. But it wasn't so bad, as she had a few other friends there for her too.

Taeri is usually seen hanging out with Ellie. Because they both have an impulsive nature, they're often getting up to mischief. Ellie often gives Taeri the encouragement she needs, and Taeri finds it enjoyable to be around Ellie because of her cheerful outlook. However, Ellie has a tendency to lose her temper quickly, often shouting at Taeri and saying things she doesn't mean, which can upset the latter.

As one of the eldest members, Haruka is always looking out for the younger members and making sure they're safe and sound. That's the case with Taeri, who is very loud and outgoing, and tries to stick to Haruka because of her sister. This only drives Haruka away from her, resulting in poor Taeri just trying even harder to get to know her. Furthermore, Haruka has, on many occasions, told Taeri off for one thing or other, and let's just say she wasn't very nice while doing so.

— I practised really hard everyday and I've been working really hard on my singing and dancing! 2 years ago I failed an audition because I wasn't good, but I'm so much better now!

— I know there's a trainee who's Toda Erika's younger sister, I'm scared she has been telling Erika bad things about me behind my back, and if I ever meet Erika, she won't like me. But, I'm sure if I try really hard, Erika will like me too!

— Taeri thinks Erika isn't afraid to be herself and doesn't care what others think of her. It also seems that lots of people love Erika, possibly due to her being honest, cheerful, friendly and kind to everyone she meets. However, no human is perfect, and what Taeri doesn't know is that Erika is easily affected by criticism but keeps her troubles to herself. Like Taeri, Erika doesn't think carefully before acting, and is also someone who needs a lot of encouragement to carry through with plans when it becomes tedious or not enjoyable anymore. Erika also tries to avoid conflicts, and in doing so, can at times pretend to be nice to people even though she dislikes them or she knows they dislike her. Like her sister, Erika too tends to speak her mind, and while her honesty is loved when she is giving praises, her criticism can be harsh too.

— Taeri found Erika cute when she watched Code Blue, and she fell in love with Erika's bright personality after watching Erika on variety shows and reading her interviews. When Taeri got an instagram account, Erika was the first person she followed. Taeri has spent and still spends a lot of her time going through Erika's instagram in addition to watching her dramas and movies, and leaving comments. However, Erika's a busy woman, and she hardly notices Taeri's comments, especially with almost 3 million followers. There's a small possibility she does, but she doesn't know what Taeri is talking about because Taeri comments either in Korean, English or broken Japanese, of which the first two Erika doesn't understand, and the last bewilders her because it just doesn't make sense.
