Question: Is it worth it to advertise?

so, one of my stories is coming to a conclusion, and I thought it would be nice to advertise for it on the adv. calendar bc I like spoiling my stories as much as I can HAHA
just wondering though, is it really worth the amount of karma points it usually takes to advertise on the calendar?

I'm by all means NOT a famous writer or whatnot so I only have around 3500 karma points. I like to hoard them when I can. ;;v;; from what I've seen this month, some lucky people were able to get a spot for 1500-2000 ish, while others went up to 7000, though it seemed to be most common for numbers in the high 2000s and low 3000s. I'm willing to spend that much on the story, but I just wanted to know if it was really worth it?

or is advertising through buying packages at advertising shops w/ wall posts more effective?

or even the mini 1 hr adv., is that effective?

please help TTuTT

i feel that advertising on calendar is much much worth it than asking shops for help. Becos not many users are really open or happy to see wallpost advertisements but on the other hand, if you publish on the calendar, everyone gets to see it, old or new users! Also it depends on who is your main characters. My best bet is that (sehun, kai, chanyeol and baekhyun) will get you even more subs than average. Also, it's my personal opinion but your main poster plays a huge influence becos people are more attracted visually and it's the first point of contact :)

I advertised this September 1st, and I can tell you that it’s definitely worth it! BUT I advertised a Baekhyun x OC which A LOT of people read. If you go on the advertising calendar for this month and click on the individual dates, you’ll see that some stories get more clicks than others—and that’s because they advertise more popular ships than others. I think that mostly anything EXO x OC, popular ships (Chanbaek, etc), and BTS x OC get a lot of attention as opposed to some crackship no one knows about. The plot matters a lot too because again, some genres are more popular than others. So all in all, advertising is worth it if you’re advertising a certain story.

I’m not sure if ad packages are worth it, but it depends on who you’re posting wall messages on haha. I know that some advertisers are smarter and advertise towards people who are subscribed to certain stories they may have a similar interest in, so that’s a big factor—as opposed to advertisers who just copy and paste towards random people who may not be active anymore. The mini hour ad, I don’t think is worth it at its price, though. 300kp for an hour in a section that not everyone goes to is definitely taking a risk. The big 24 hour ad is just underneath the featured section and the sidebar of stories, so you get a lot of exposure.

Yes advertising in non m is profitable, it gets best results (depends on Group and Ship/OTP dough)
idk how people spend 7k on it lmao xjskd
I think 3-5k max is fine and yes you should get ad packs from shops as well, ones with blogs included

AND NOPE. NO.NEVER go for hourly ad. unless it's a busy day with hell lot of blogs (and use the one in blog sect/feature sect) i think they can get results

boi that sounds expensive as but uhhhhhhh i think it really depends on how much you're willing to pay? like i would definitely set a limit as to that, and if you're looking to exceed your limit, then maybe save up for another time, but yeahhh sorry this wasn't really helpful ;;
