appearance.  ayaka stands tall at 154cm and weighs 45kg. she looks exactly the same as her faceclaim. she has pierced both her ears and her navel. she was once overweight for her height and when she joined yg, she went on an extreme diet and exercised a lot to shed the fats. thus, she obtained some nice abs x

style.  ayaka doesn't have any specific style because she wears whatever that's in trend. she mostly wears shorts and jeans for a casual look because she doesn't feel the need to dress up since it's not like she plans on impressing anyone but that doesn't mean that ayaka doesn't like wearing skirts and dresses. she usually wear them when she feels like it. due to her short structure, ayaka is usually seen wearing sneakers that has a hidden wedge to boost her height although ayaka do often wear doc martens.

it's not a surprise that ayaka would be a serious little girl who wants everything going the way she likes it. you can see it in her resting makeup covered face that this woman is not someone you would want to mess with. ayaka tends to scare off people with just a single glance, especially now that she looked like some aggressive woman who could beat and fold you up like you're a string. ayaka is however a perfectionist and would want everything to go as smoothly as possible, or else she would blow up and become annoyed, and you wouldn't want a woman to nag at you all day long just because you did not put in any effort during practice. ayaka is literally the girl you could rely on when needing some honest opinions and also when you need something to be done with neat and perfection glowing out of it.

ayaka is not only a passionate perfectionist, she is also such a sarcastic . literally she is straight to the point and doesn't care if she has hurt your feelings in the process. she has this mindset where you asked for some honest remark, and you got one. honestly, only her closest friends could handle her bull sometimes because they've been friends since they don't know when. honestly, it's her oozing confidence that reflects in her blunt, straight forward and sarcastic personality. she no longer feels insecure about herself because she's grown into someone. she doesn't care if she gets side remarks that comes after her hurtful comment because she knows she's right or she knows it's a fact that can't be avoided.

however, behind her sarcasm, lies a quiet girl who does nothing but work and work only. ayaka doesn't socialise that often as compared to her friends. i mean, it's a surprise that ayaka even has friends because she's just so quiet. she prefers to stick to herself because friends burden her and she doesn't want anymore stress in her life. during break time, ayaka would always be the only girl, either practicing or in the corner, memorizing lyrics. whenever you talk to her, she'll either ignore you because she did not hear you or because she simply just want to finish her work that she got lazy to answer something that isn't important. she would sometimes just block out the noises or just rush into the small room so that she could get some peace. she's sort of the lone wolf of the competition because she tends to be alone.

finishing something is always ayaka's motto. she can never let something go if she doesn't finish it or if she can't do it. she believes that every problem has a solution to, all you need is to look for it. she doesn't give up that easily, which causes some people to think as though she is a smart alec. she just has this feeling, an aura where she might just want to show off, even though it's not even close. she gives off this vibe where she would show people that she could do something that they couldn't do, even though she herself is struggling to keep up.

although, let's not forget that ayaka does have her good side. behind her cold, sarcastic nature, also lies her sort of motherly side. being older than a few of the girls, ayaka tends to take care of the younger ones. she does things that aren't your expectations, such as cooking for them or even just talking to them. ayaka just has this feeling where she has the need to protect them, especially since she loves kids. she could drop her whole cold image and act like a mother and would often ask whether or not you're okay. it usually catches others off guard since they had never expected one of their coldest member to become the mother. however, her motherly side only comes out off camera and not on camera.

ayaka grew up like a normal kid. she had good grades and a wonderful family. wrong. ayaka's actually from a wealthy family and was born with a silver spoon. she need not worry about any financial issues because everything was settled. she basically lived a life everyone wants, where everything is given to her. everyone envied how she could just buy things with just a snap of her fingers. everyone also envied how she lived in a penthouse even when she's just a foreigner, living in a foreign country due to her parent's work. however, ayaka never liked the life as a somebody. she was constantly left out when she hung out with her friends because they constantly for being a "rich kid". her parents are constantly missing and when they do meet, they wouldn't spare a glance at the poor girl.

which is why ayaka grew towards her interest in hip hop music and how she grew up to be who she is today. she never did feel any love from her parents nor did she feel accepted as a person by her friends. she grew to not care about anything and became very quiet. only talking when she needs to and would constantly distant herself from anyone who tries to be friends with her. the only thing she needed was music and it was the only source of happiness. after ayaka graduated from secondary school with a score of 10, she decided to stop schooling, much to the dismay of her parents. they wanted her to grow up and take over the family business but ayaka refused to.

she instead, auditioned for yg entertainment through a global audition. it surprised a lot of people, mostly ayaka's family because they did not expect their one and only daughter to do such things behind their backs. things got a little out of hand when they got to know that ayaka was accepted, and that she rapped and planned on being a rapper. they couldn't accept the fact that their supposed graceful and elegant daughter would want to be as aggressive as those rappers. the three got into an argument and let's just say ayaka's family so called "disowned" her. they only gave her enough money for her flight as well as food. when ayaka flew to korea, her parents never contacted her.

the two met when jaewon joined yg. at first, it was awkward for the two. jaewon didn't know how to approach the girl who he found interesting while ayaka was just creeped out by the dude. she knew who he was since he joined show me the money and is known as a "pretty boy" rapper. however, the two became friends when they were assigned to perform the same song together as a monthly evaluation. they grew closer and without them realising, they became best friends even with their four year . jaewon pretty much knows about her secrets and her family background while ayaka knows of his dirty secrets. they were both shocked to find that they both joined show me the money 5 and even chose the same team, and that is team aomg. when ayaka left yg, jaewon was the one who supported her all the way. even when ayaka joined bighit, he was there to cheer her on. plot twist, jaewon actually likes his best friend and has been crushing on her for quite a while. jaewon is also the first person ayaka would think of if she was given the one time phone call

there are 100 seats, which seat would you sit at, why? 
— "number 1 but if the seat is taken then i would most probably just sit at another available seat. i don't think it's worth fighting for."

— "tch. of course not. i have seen so many boys and none of them appeal to me... and no i don't like my own gender if you're thinking that *smirks*."

how would you pick your songs for evaluations.  
— "i usually go for those that can showcase my talent. i don't care about the group. if the songs can showcase one's individuality, then i'll go for it... if i don't get the opportunity then i'll try my best to do it on another song"

there are so many trainees, how can you make us remember you.  
— "i don't know... but there might be some iconic moments that i might do during the show that can capture the national producer's attention but i'm not some fortune teller so let's see how it is shall we? oh, i almost forgot.. some might know me especially during my show me the money days so maybe that helps?"

trainee life. ayaka auditioned for yg entertainment when she was only 16 years old, weeks after she got her 'o' level results. she sent a video of her rapping to an original written by her and was accepted. when she started training, she was always given a harsh scolding everytime she messes up in dancing as well as rapping. her body would ache every now and then and ayaka would always have to pull an all-nighter just to perfect a choreography or to memorise her lyrics.

even when she was brought into a harsh environment, ayaka never really gave up. she showed major improvements in a span on two years, which led to her ability to memorise a choreography faster. during a normal day, ayaka heard about the new season of show me the money, and was then interested. she literally had to beg yang hyun suk to allow her to join so that she could improve further. fortunately he listened to her and let her audition for the rap show.

when she was shown, the producer, dok2, had to keep in his laughter from coming out when he was met with such an innocent face. he thought that she was lost and that she was only there because she had a dream. however, he couldn't help but smile when the seemingly innocent child in front of him opened and started to spit out rhymes. he couldn't help but give her a necklace.

during the show, most of the producers weren't expecting much ayaka, seeing as she just doesn't seem that much of a rapper. however, they were proven wrong. ayaka knew how they felt towards her and wanted to prove to them that she could do it. she impressed the four team producers during the 60 second rap and received an all pass. she even managed to kill the next few rounds. however, she chose the wrong team. the team she went against, were too strong. she had to go against bewhy, one and g2, which was why she was eliminated in the first place.

however, ever since her appearance on smtm 5, she was respected by many. they all felt that she was brave for going against rappers like them despite being trained for only two years. although, her smtm journey does not end there. she joined smtm again the next year, in hopes that she could finally go further than where she was before. of course, dok2 was shook to see the little fiesty pants again and this time, knew never to underestimate her.

sadly, one wrong move ended her journey again. hanhae decided to choose her as his opponent for the 1vs1 rap battle which shocked many, including the said girl. hanhae, being more known and talented, pretty much killed it during their battle while ayaka was just left alone. it caused her to be eliminated again, although hanhae did apologise for choosing her and getting her eliminated. ayaka did forgive hanhae because she didn't want him to feel guilty.

when she returned to yg, she was soon placed into a duo group with one. they felt that the two would be perfect together, however the plan wasn't carried out. their debut was always delayed which made ayaka pissed. she couldn't take how yang hyunsuk was so biased towards blackpink and decided to pack her bags and leave. fortunately for her, she was founded by bighit entertainment.

in bighit, she pretty much experienced the same thing, only this time, she wasn't given much critisicm about her raps since the rap coach knew about her smtm background. thinking that she would only be focusing solely on hiphop, ayaka then got to know that she would be joining produce 100. even though she was pissed that they signed her up behind her back, she went to the show willingly.

dating scandal between ayaka and jaewon :: false :: 2016 :: the reason why the media thought the two were dating because they were pretty close during show me the money. they acted like a couple so people thought they were dating but yg denied the rumours and stated that they are just friends

ayaka's true family background :: true :: 2018 :: during the show, knetz dug deeper into ayaka's background and found out that she's actually from a wealthy family. they also found out that she isn't close to her family and that they no longer are in contact. this caused some debate, some saying that ayaka was disowned while others were saying that her parents are just busy. the debate slowly died down when other important scandals / news appeared
