First Day At School For 9th Grade.... [OR JUST ME RANTING ABOUT SCHOOL]

Hey everyone! No.... I'm not in the mood to be so cheerful... Umm, hey... everyone.... No, that's too dull. Hi guys. Nevermind, there are girls on here, too... Umm, hey, I'm back with another blog- NO. NOW IT JUST SOUNDS LIKE I'M A FREAKING BLOGGER- Okay, I'm sorry. I just wanna let you know beforehand, that this blog is basically me ranting about my first day of grade 9 because I think letting it all out will make me feel a lot better. If you're not ready to read a rant-blog (is that even a thing?), then kindly click away, because you're not going to enjoy this. As for those who don't give a damn and decided to read it because you feel pity for me..... Umm, thank you, I guess?

Nah, I'm just kidding.

Okay, let me get this straight, I love school, alright? I enjoy being at school, I love learning something new, and I think it's only because I score well among my other classmates. Because, if I'm bad at studies, I'd probably hate school forever. But, I'm good at studies, and I'm not trying to brag, but I'm actually a topper, so.... I guess I like school? I know, I know, y'all are probably like: "Yo, you like school? Are you crazy? Nerd...."

YES, OKAY? I LIKE SCHOOL. I LOVE ENGLISH, SCIENCE, HISTORY, GEOGRAPHY, PE, MUSIC, COMPUTING, OH, AND I. LOVE. MATHS.

Alright, so my point is, I love school, and I would have been fine and actually super happy about my first day of year 9, but something new at my school seriously just killed my mood.

Rules.

New. Rules.

Okay, so I don't know about you guys, but in my school, all we have to do is sit in ONE classroom, while the TEACHERS come and teach us the topics. But, THIS FREAKING YEAR, they made this NEW RULE (many new rules, actually, I'll get to that later) that the STUDENTS move, not the teachers.

Our school Principal literally made a Powerpoint-presentation where the slide said: "Students move. Teachers stay."

LIKE WHATCHU SAY? WHATCHU SAY? DID I JUST SEE WHAT I JUST SAW?

So, now, for each and every single lesson, the students have to MAKE A STRAIGHT LINE ON YOUR RIGHT-SIDE AND WALK TO YOUR RESPECTIVE CLASSROOM, like, hell nah, they did not just make our lazy asses move! Okay, honestly, I would be used to it if we had to move for every lesson since the beginning of my school-years, but suddenly introducing a rule like that is JUST TOO MUCH FOR MY LAZY BODY TO HANDLE, OKAY? YOU HEAR THAT, SIR? I DISAPPROVE OF YOUR NEW RULE!

He definitely ain't hearing me, why do I even care? Huh.... As I was saying.... Now, you know how they show in those highschool cartoons, movies, series, whatever, that the students have lockers and like that? WELL, our school is kind of U-shaped? I don't know if you guys understand what I mean, but, basically, when I have to move from one class to another, sometimes I have to walk outside of the building, as in, I have to walk under the Sun, across the whole field, to get to my class. Sometimes, I have to literally move from one end of the U to the other end, and I swear, I get so exhausted, like, hell nah! In Dubai (where I live), it's honestly too hot, like, it's in the Middle East, so.... you know what I'm saying? HEAVY SIGH aside, I think it's good that we're not sitting in one classroom for the entire day, and that we're actually moving around and stuff, but it's too hot, and the building isn't shaped in the best way, so walking through the crowd (because this new rule applies to all 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th and 11th graders, so it's pretty crowded) is really exhausting and difficult.

Also, there are NEW RULES for BELLSFREAKING. BELLS. OKAY? So, there's the first bell, that can be heard 2 minutes before the next class, just to warn the teachers that there's only 2 minutes left. Now, the first bell only lasts for.... 2-3 seconds? Yeah, and then, there's the second bell, which is the on-point bell? I don't know what to call it, but it's the bell that tells us to move to your next class. And, then there's the 3rd bell, which is the 5-minute-late bell, and you have to be in class before that bell. If you arrive after the 3rd bell is heard, then you're 'late' and you'll get this warning or something, I don't even care.... So, this new rule about the bells and stuff, I think it's actually quite good. I mean, it's well-planned out. But, here's the problem, just imagine a U-shaped building, where all 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th and 11th graders should move to their classes on the right-side ONLY- Like, can you imagine how crowded and uncomfortable and time-consuming it is? I end up sweating by the time I reach class (thankfully, I wasn't late to any class today) and I have to force myself to smile, especially in front of those super-strict teachers who want you to be perfect and stuff- LIKE, MR. NIGEL, WE ARE HUMANS AND WE NEED TO BREATHE SOMETIMES.

Mr. Nigel (our school Principal) was probably sitting in his well air-conditioned, fancy and neat and tidy office, like: "Hmm.... 5 minutes seem about fine... Oh, let's just add 'Walking on your right only' rule, too. Hmm, that seems about fine. They can do it. I'm sure they can do-" NO. NO, SIR, WE CANNOT DO IT.

Okay, so that's just rule 2 out of 5. These 5 new rules, oh my God, I swear, I've never been so pissed off on my first day of a new year, I swear to God, like, woah! Now you might be like: "Oh, Adi, stop exaggerating things! It's just 5 new rules! How bad could it be? Like, just 5 rules, like, come on, Adi, you're just being too extra and-"

No, sweetheart. No, I'm not. Did you even read about how extreme the first 2 rules are? The remaining 3 (which we haven't been informed of yet, but we will know tomorrow) will also be just as extreme as the ones I've mentioned! I bet my kindneys and livers and even my heart on it. Okay, maybe I went too far. But, I know for sure they won't be some really cool rules, because let me just tell you that our school (though being one of the cheapest ones in Dubai) is kinda problematic. But, I guess I'll be fine with it?

No.

No, I won't.

Why, you ask?

Well.....

OUR RECESS/LUNCH/BREAK IS ONLY FOR 25 MINUTES.

"25 minutes?!? That's enough, Adi, grow up already!", stop saying that. And if you're not, please proceed to the next line, thank you.

Okay, so I understand that 25 minutes might be enough, alright? It is enough, but it's not. It is fine, but it's not. Why, you ask? Well, I'm a 13-year old who has friends, in different classes as well, so I have to meet up with them, decide where to sit and eat (we have to choose a place away from the Sun, cause we don't wanna burn and die), and I'm a girl, which means I have 'time of the month' problems (periods) and 25 minutes is not enough, okay? It would've been fine if I hadn't hit puberty, and if I was a boy, but I'm a girl, and I am 'grown up' and I need some more time.

Now I feel like this is rule 3, but I'm not sure if it is, because Mr. Nigel didn't say anything about this being the 3rd rule but- Okay, as you can see, with just these few changes (few, but extreme), I ended up tired, and exhausted, and tired- Did I say tired? Alright, I just didn't expect my first day of year 9 to be like this, okay? I'm sorry about this rant, I won't ever do it again, but this blog just kind of helped me calm down a little.

ALSO, WE GOT HOMEWORK AND ASSIGNMENTS ON THE FIRST DAY ITSELF AND THAT BUT I COMPLETED ALL OF THEM SO....

Anyways, thanks for reading the blog, I don't know why you did. You probably got worried or something? Or maybe it was because of pity? I honestly, don't know, but thank you, for reading this blog. Let me know if you had a really horrible first-day-of-school recently. As always, thanks for reading, I'll see you guys soon, bye! {=^-^=}

ALSO, MY MOM GAVE ME A BOTTLE OF WATER THAT CAN ONLY HOLD UP TO 350ML AND THAT IS TOO LESS BECAUSE I DRANK ALL THE WATER BY 12 PM, SO I HAD TO SURVIVE 2 HOURS OF SCHOOL WITH NO WATER (I can't trust the water-filters in our school as there are rumors about rats being there?) AND I WAS JUST NOT HAVING A GOOD DAY AND-

Okay, I'm done with my rant, bye! >.<
