Yang Taeyoung is a petite young lady. Her height is 159 cm and she weighs only around 42 kg, sometimes even less. Taeyoung has recently dyed her hair from its natural black state to a lighter shade consisting of a dark brunette color. She has slightly tanned skin, mostly due to the sheer amount of time she spends outdoors exercising and going on walks. Due to having such a passion for working out, Taeyoung has never had any weight issues. She's been thin her entire life, never really passing 49 kg at her heaviest. When it comes to her complex, it's relatively clear. She has no scars or birthmarks, just a couple of moles; the most notable one being on the right side of her nose. The main reason that her general appearance looks so nice is due to the fact that Taeyoung's a neat and organized girl, always taking care of her skin as well as her body in general. Yang Taeyoung was born in Seoul, South Korea on August 8th, 1996. Her parents were both employeed in the medical field, her father being a surgeon and her mother being a nurse at a nearby ER. When Taeyoung was four years old, her mother gave birth to her little brother, Taeseon. Almost immediately, ever since her childhood basically, Taeyoung has been recognized for her beauty. She and her little brother were constantly being told that they were just so adorable and cute, prompting their mother to make profit from it. Her mother quit her job and began working as Taeyoung's first ever manager. Starting at age six, Taeyoung began appearing in commericals for brands and companies, as well as children's catalogs. Taeseon never had to participate in any of these activities due to their father being against both children's participation, especially since Taeseon was just a toddler at the time. By the time Taeyoung hit age thirteen, she quit doing commericals and modeling jobs and began attending school regularly again. Her mother returned to the workforce and it wasn't until Taeyoung was seventeen that something insane happened. It late 2014 and Taeyoung was just about to catch the bus home from her all girls high school. However, just before she got on, she was handed a business card from TS Entertainment with a talent scout asking her to stop by for a private audition. At first Taeyoung was hesitant to even go back the the entertainment industry, but her mother insisted. Taeyoung attended the audition, knowing herself that she quite literally butchered Taeyang's "Eyes, Nose, Lips." However, regardless of her singing that could literally make your ears bleed, she was offered a four year trainee contract. Again, Taeyoung was hesitant, but signed it knowing that her mother would be happy with her. To Taeyoung surprise, almost a year later, Taeseon joined her at the same agency.

The jokester of the TS trainees, Hana is a blast to be around. Despite their three year , Taeyoung has always been close with Hana. The younger girl is always a joy to have around due to her bright and playful personality. Taeyoung and Hana typically spend most of their time laughing with each other and talking about the thing they both love the most: funny animal videos on YouTube. Out of the three TS Entertainment trainees, Hana is the strongest of them. Her main skill is dance, followed by an equal amount of skill for vocal and rap as well. She is best described as the trio's triple threat.

The chic city girl of the TS trainees. Junghwa is very cold and can appear icy to those who are around her. Junghwa doesn't really mean to come across as rude or aloof though, she's just naturally quiet and introverted. She's very kind and shows her true kindness whenever she's around Taeyoung and Hana, her only two real friends that she's ever had. Whenever she's with Taeyoung and Hana, she can come across as a bit more talkative and typically has a sweeter side to her than the usual sour one that most people see. Similarly to Hana, Junghwa is the second strongest trainee from TS. Her main skill is rapping, with dance being her follow up skill that she also excells at. She is weak when it comes to singing, Taeyoung actually being better than her in that aspect.

Taeyoung's time as trainee was very difficult for her. She was in no way experienced or talented like the girls around, making it difficult for her to learn or befriend any of the other female trainees. Taeyoung was essentially an outcast among the trainees, only spending time with her brother Taeseon and his friends. It wasn't until two years into training that Taeyoung met Hana and finally found a friend. Six months later, Junghwa joined the agency and joined Taeyoung and Hana's little friendship circle. Over the course of four years, Taeyoung has only slightly improved in her singing and dancing. She can't rap at all, literally stuttering over her words whenever she even tries to. Her dancing isn't the best and it does take her a long time to learn choreography as a result. Out of all of three, Taeyoung has improved the most in singing but even then, she's no where near being a talented singer. She's still learning how to even be an idol and it has proven to be difficult as a result. Produce 99 is Taeyoung last chance, for real. If she doesn't debut in the final 12 then she has to ditch the idol training and become an actress. While this certainly isn't a horrible fate, Taeyoung doesn't want this to happen due to her friendship and dreams of debuting with Hana and Junghwa.
