background. When you think of Japan, most likely one of the first few things you'll think of is anime, and Mizuki was no stranger to that. She had watched anime since practically before she could even speak. She discovered cosplay when she was 16 and loved the idea of dressing up as anime characters and pretending to be them. However, as a high school student, buying a costume from a shop in Akiba would burn a big hole in her pocket. So, she took up sewing as a hobby to learn how to make costumes.
When she posted her cosplay pictures on social media, many people praised her, calling her cute and pretty. She loved the attention, she loved knowing so many people found her attractive. Even though she no longer watched anime that often anymore, she would still cosplay every trending character of the season, and besides, practically everything you need to know about a character was just a quick Google search away. She even started doing some "experimental" cosplays of characters in y outfits, and that just made her popularity skyrocket, in addition to the fact that her twin brother had just started his acting career. "Damn, Yamazaki Kento's sister is so hot, I'm so jealous of him!" Of course, there were also hard anime stans who felt that she was "ruining the character", feeling that the point of cosplay is to take on the personality of the character and not just wear their outfit, but they didn't bother her so much, especially since she had more "fans" to back her up. "You're just jealous because Mizuki is so much hotter than you and nobody will ever love you."
Since Mizuki was getting so much attention for her cosplays, she decided to start selling cosplay prints for a living. The creation of Patreon helped her greatly in doing so, enabling her to offer more risque photoshoot pictures to fans who paid her more. Overwatch was released in 2016 and Mizuki instantly jumped on the D. VA cosplay bandwagon. Having a lot of free time as she didn't do much outside of cosplay and costume making, she even downloaded the game and played it.
Mizuki decided to study fashion design in SKKU and moved to Korea in 2017. This wasn't for the sake of her future or anything but because she wanted to prove her haters that she's not just a "brainless internet famous " and since she already knew sewing, she thought fashion design would be a piece of cake for her. When she moved to Korea, she rented a house, and coincidentally, her housemates were gamers too, even though they mainly played League Of Legends. In order to assimilate with them, Mizuki too started playing league even though she didn't know what she was doing at all and only played Lux because she found Lux's Star Guardian skin cute, and Ahri for the SNSD inspired outfit.
