 CHINESE  fluent, native tongue, includes both cantonese and mandarin. tyler uses cantonese more than mandarin because of personal preference.
 ENGLISH  advanced conversational, learned in school. mostly has problems with grammar and pronouncing his l's and r's, but other that, he has a great grab on the language.
 KOREAN  conversational, learned while he trained in jyp and still learning. he mixes up vocabulary and his pronciation still needs help. hangul is whole other thing he would like to forget about all together.

APPEARANCE. at first glance, many people mistake tyler for a female until they get a closer look at him. his deer-like appearance is popular with people, making him an excellent ladies man (if he actually dated). underneath his plain wardrobe is a lean physique, faint abs and muscles along his body. he has several moles scattered all over his body, some in more embarrassing places than others.
only his right ear lobe is pierced. tyler only has one tattoo, behind his left ear.

PERSONALITY.
 (+) INDEPENDENT  tyler is extremely independent. he hardly ever asks for help. it mostly stems from him being so quiet and because of his athritis, he just doesn't want people to try and help him just because he's in pain.
 (+) PASSIONATE  the male is full of passion. whether it's singing or reading, he's passionate about life. he's eager to learn, learn, and learn about new things to become passionate towards. he hardly lets anything get to him when he gets passionate over something.
 (+/-) STRONGWILLED  tyler isn't the type to just give up. he's determined. he's willing to stand up in what he believes in even when he knows others won't see it as he does.
 (+/-) QUIET  tyler is a very quiet person, hardly ever making noise or announcing his presence every time he walks into a room. he prefers to keep to himself and let people naturally find and seek him out rather than make himself known.
 (+/-) AWKWARD  because of his quietness, tyler tends to be seen as awkward. especially when his humor tends to be on a darker sense, many are put off by that. he hates crowded places and unwanted attention, so being put in such things he doesn't really no what to do and ends up being in everyone's way.

BACKGROUND. tyler grew up in the same town jackson wang grew up in and his life was pretty normal. he had an older sister who cared for him, maybe too much, and a father who worked a little too much. his mother was always home, being the perfect little housewife.
the only thing keeping the family normal was his father's job. then his job went down under when tyler was only five, his sister ten. came home drunk afterwards, angry and fighting with their mom. nothing bad happened until he tried to take it out on tyler. his mother had finally stepped in.
after his parents divorce, life became bit better than before. his mother got a job, but she seemed happier which made her children happier. tyler was doing better in school and he was truly a happier child, despite still being quiet.
it was around the age of ten when tyler found a love for music. his mother always loved to play music whenever she was in the kitchen and tyler always loved watching his mother dance along to the music. he would sing along to the songs that came on the radio. it was what gave his mom the idea to send tyler to vocal lessons.
throughout the years juggling between school, he but he always made sure to have decent grades to make his mother happy. he was about to apply for college when his firends thought it would be cool to have a vacation before they got into college. tyler went along with the idea and before he knew it, they were in south korea.

LIKES. anime, the seaside, suspense thrillers, small animals, green tea, and cucumbers.
DISLIKES. overly spicy foods, unnecessary violence, horror movies, loud noises, people disrupting his peace and quiet, and big animals.
HOBBIES. reading, singing, playing soccer, making tea, and rewatching tokyo ghoul.
HABITS.
· makes tea every morning after he wakes up

SPECIAL TALENTS.
· extremely good goalie in soccer. has a 95% catch rate as a goalie.
· high note king. he can hit notes that men can only dream about and he can hit them with ease.

TRIVIA.
· tyler suffers from chronic arthritis in his hands and feet. he has to take medication for it. it's also the reason why he cracks his knuckles and it sounds really bad when he does. he's in constant pain from the arthritis, but he's used to the pain.
· tyler is a clean freak. he cleans anything that he deems dirty or out of place. his bed is kept in perfect condition and will kick anyone in the shin if they get too close to his bed (so far, only yixuan can get close to his bed).
· green tea is his absolute favorite thing in the world. it's what keeps him calm most of the time. number one thing to calm him down if he ever gets angry.
· played soccer in elementary and middle school. stopped when his chronic arthritis got too bad.
· stops by the jyp building to hang out with jackson and mark.
· can be seen hanging out with the chinaline on most days off.
· despite him being able to do the same stuff jackson and mark can do, he hardly does it because of his arthritis.
· not the best cook, but he can make fried rice.
· peniel's that girl is his ringtone (lol).
· has the full collection of the tokyo ghoul series (including season 2), it's his most prized possession. he even has kaneki figurine that no one is allowed to touch.
· tyler is glad that the company decided to keep him as a main vocal and no dancing position. he doesn't think his arthritis could handle being a main or lead dancer.
· despite him not being a real fan of dancing, whenever a twice song comes on and the true dancing machine comes out. he is a big tzuyu fan.

TRAINEE LIFE.
 JYP ENT  tyler was scouted on a vacation with friends on the street. his friends pushed him to take the chance and he took it. jyp was really good to tyler. the company already had so many foreign trainees and artists, he felt like he belonged. his singing skills sang praises from all the instructors of the company, even jyp himself. because of health reasons, he didn't make it into got7, but he didn't let it deter him. he still trained and did his best.
in mid 2015, tyler decided he needed something different. auditioning for different companies, he was given a chance to transfer to pledis entertainment. despite really loving jyp and all the friends he made, he knew jyp wasn't the place he was going to blossom.
 PLEDIS ENT  training at pledis entertainment was hard at first. he didn't have any friends and there weren't as many foreigners here like at jyp. until he met minghao and jun that is. they helped him feel at peace at pledis, introducing him to the other artists under the company and making him feel like home here.

HIS PLACE IN GROUP CONFLICTS.
with tyler's quiet nature, he doesn't like conflict very much. he tries to avoid it like the plague. if gets too much though, he might intervene, but that's only if it really calls for help or it directly (or indirectly) involve him.

LOVE STORY. when tyler first came to pledis, he was lost. sure seventeen's chinaline were there, but they were busy with seventeen, he couldn't ask them for everything.
insert song yixuan. the taller, younger chinese boy ran into tyler who had gotten lost in the company. soon enough, yixuan was showing the quiet trainee around the company, taking him to the best places you could find peace and quiet. soon enough, it's what sparked their initial friendship. at the time, tyler began to feel something for yixuan. he couldn't name what he was feeling, but it was something.
as their friendship progressed, they got closer. tyler let yixuan closer than anybody before. he let him do things that tyler would previously fight others on. the feeling from before continued to blossom, taking over his body. he still couldn't name the feeling, but one thing is for sure, he didn't want yixuan to leave his side.
fast forward to cntr10n's debut, their friendship began to break. after a few months of living in the dorm together, tyler began to noticed yixuan becoming distant. he hardly touched him anyone, deciding to so skinship with the other members over him. the feeling inside of him bubbled into dark jealousy, not liking his close friend suddenly leave him.
it wasn't until the paper kiss game during a fanevent when things went haywire. yixuan and tyler were sat next to each other and when they went to exchange the paper, it fell and their lips pressed together in a real, full kiss. tyler hardly remembers what happened afterwards, his mind playing this kiss in his mind over and over again.
the tension in the dorms were thicker than ever afterwards. tyler and yixuan were definitely avoiding each other at this point, the members of the group were starting to worry. while they tried (and failed) to get them to talk, yixuan naturally came to tyler to talk about their feelings.
finally, tyler knew what that feeling inside of him was. it was love.
