Usually when he's preforming he covers it up or it gets blurred out on tv. But everyone knows it's there. His eyes are rather dark and his natural hair color is black. Though he tends to dye it from time to time to a brown color or even blonde, but nothing too flashy. Yixuan has rather broad shoulders and has a pretty athletic build.

Yixuan is a person with many qualities, especially in the field of art and music. He is rather skilful with his hands and is the “fixer” in the dorm. He has an eye for detail and won’t be happy unless the result is perfect. He doesn’t want to hear something is “just good.” Yixuan would do everything so others can be proud of him.

Some call it being soft, some call it being weak. Yixuan feelings influence his behaviour strongly. Whenever he’s sad, he wouldn’t move for hours, whenever he’s mad, he might even get aggressive, whenever he’s happy, there is no way to stop him from jumping and running around. His emotional nature makes him rather easy to influence and others know that. He is one of the members that gets fooled the easiest. He believes people too quickly most of the time.

Yixuan is a person that speaks his mind. When others ask for his opinion he doesn’t see the point of lying to them. Even if he thinks bad about something he would try to tell it in a way so he doesn’t hurt the other’s feelings. He doesn’t lie easily but keeps some things rather for himself.

Yixuan was the non-expected second child of the owners of a well known restaurant in Qingdao.Even though Yixuan was a bit of an accident, a latecomer, his parents and sister loved him a lot and cared deeply for him. He was feeded with the silver spoon, though strangely it didn't make him conceited. Yixuan was always thankful for the things he had and wasn't greedy for more.

As Yixuan got older he started to take piano classes. While he wasn't very good at studying at school, piano was something different. He was usually at the top of those classes while there were regularly some shortcomings when it came to classes like maths, physics, etc. His parents scolded him quite some times, but after a while they understood that his future was in the music business instead of the "normal" industry. 

When his sister got scouted in 2007, SM Entertainment had interest in the young boy as well. but his parents wouldn't let him go, he was just 12 after all. He had to wait for a few more years and if he wanted to go then, they would let him go. 3 years later Yixuan would join the SM family as trainee where he would practice with one of their aspiring rookie groups. 

The line up for the group changed quite often, trainees came and left again and eventually Yixuan and Johnny got thrown out of the line up. The two of them continued to practice together until Yixuan's contract came to an end in 2014. He went on several auditions and got accepted in Pledis after a month or 2 of being company-less.

The Song siblings are probaby two of the most loved and envied siblings in the kpop business. They can get along really well and have no secrets for eachother. Due the big age difference Yixuan gets babied a lot by his older sister, he acts as if he doesn't like it, but he actually enjoys it pretty much. Qian was the first one to know Yixuan didn't like girls.

— Yixuan got accepted 3 years later than his sister in SM entertainment, mainly because of his good looks. SM entertainment is known for their visuals and Yixuan would fit into them. Though their original plan was to make him an actor. Yixuan didn't want this though. He trained with the members of SM's next big boygroup for a short while but got dropped out of the group due his lacking dancing skills at that time. His vocals and rap got better but his contract with SM expired and Yixuan had to find another agency to train if he wanted to become a singer like his sister.

Luckily Yixuan got accepted in Pledis rather fast after he left SM. He mainly polished his skills there and was waiting for a group to debut with.

— It kinda was a "love at first sight" kind of situation when caramel machiato got added in the group of trainees, but then in a more "friend kinda way". Yixuan immediately took the other under his wings and made him feel comfortable in the new environment, just like he did with his other members. The two kind of had a spark but it didn't was something special to be honest.

— Caramel macchiato is one of his least problematic "childs". That's why he kinda likes him. Don't get him wrong he loves all s and gets especially well along with vanilla latte, but it's caramel macchiato he likes. He can be a bit awkward around him sometimes because he can't quite figure out his feelings for him. He keeps skinship with this member to the minimum because he doesn't want to make it too obvious. It wasn't always like that though. In the beginning Yixuan was rather touchy with him, but the more he gets aware that he might have fallen for caramel macchiato, the more distant he became.

— Yixuan has always been a touchy feely kind of person with almost no shame. He could shower with the members without feeling embarrassed about it at all. Though he had to admit if there was one person he wasn't entirely comfortable with during the showersessions, it would be caramel machiato. Yixuan gets rather easily distracted by him and... might stare. It became rather awkward for Yixuan when at a fanevent during the paperkissing game, the paper decided to fall down without the two boys noticing, causing the two of them kissing eachother full on the lips. Yixuan tries not to think about it too much but the scene keeps playing in his mind. Along with other small interactions between them, it slowly becomes too much for Yixuan and he will eventually talk about it with caramel machiato.
