She loves talking to anyone and everyone about possibly everything under the sun, even if she has no background she will try her best to seem interested and hold a conversation, or even to ask the person she's talking to to teach her about stuff so she can "connect" better with the person. Among the five love languages, she is strongest in touch and she likes hugging, even kissing the ones close to her to show her love for them. She has many skills which she learnt quickly, almost as if she was born with them. When she came to Korea, it only took her a few weeks to learn Korean.

She doesn't like to stay in one place for too long and sometimes will leave her house or the dorm even if she has nothing to do, just because she needs a change of environment. She doesn't like strict schedules where she has to do a certain thing at an exact time of the day. She often has trouble deciding for herself in small decisions and will ask the people around her to suggest what she should do.
  PAST // Yamazaki Mizuki was born on 28 May 1991, a full moon night and was given the name "Mizuki" meaning "beautiful moon" (reference from here). Her brother Kento was born when she was 3 years old. She often watched superhero dramas and movies with Kento and her parents as a child and played pretend as superheroes with Kento. Fearing she would become too rough, her parents made her join the ballet club in elementary school. She was a well-behaved child but when she started middle school and stopped ballet training, she started hanging out with the popular girls in school who often broke rules, stayed out late, smoked and drank behind their parents' backs. To keep her in control and so that she wouldn't be a bad influence to Kento, her parents made her become an actress and enrolled her in TRAIT in Horikoshi High School. (Information about Horikoshi and TRAIT). They also made her learn piano outside of school.

While in high school and in her early 20s she gained a lot of fans for her cute looks and portraying an innocent girl. However, after she turned 22 and started looking more mature, it was hard for her to play the same roles so she didn't get much jobs. Overwhelmed by stress and worries, she started smoking and drinking again. Most of the time, she would turn up on set late having a hangover or even drunk. Eventually no producers were willing to hire her and she had to rely on her brother for money. Kento had just started his acting career two years earlier, her antics gained Kento a lot of negative attention and they could not see eye to eye for a while. 2 years later, Mizuki became pregnant after having a one-night stand while drunk but could not bear to have an abortion. She opened up to her family that she wanted to keep the baby and promised to change for the better. Her daughter was born on 9 April 2016.

PRESENT //She juggles motherhood and idol life almost effortlessly. She loves taking walks with her daughter near the dorm between activities. She prefers to call Kento and her parents on the phone or even facetime rather than texting and can often be seen calling them late at night or between activities. At the dorm, she wears little to no makeup because she's so busy taking care of her daughter.

TRIVIA //
She doesn't mind disorganisation, her bedroom at home is very messy and cluttered.
She will buy a hat when feeling inspired as "hatto" sounds like the Japanese word for inspiration.
Her favourite food is cold noodles with salt broth.
She likes to collect candles.
She does 200 sit ups a day and also still practises splits.
She likes clothes that have holes in them, whether the holes were made deliberately or came from wear and tear.
If she really likes a certain item of clothing, she can keep it for over 10 years.
Even though her brother acted as L in Death Note drama version, she thinks Matsuyama Kenichi is hotter than her brother.
When she was pregnant, she loved eating spicy miso ramen and caramel pudding.
She wants to move back to Japan when her daughter is 6-7 years old.
Despite having "moon" in her name, she has not been nocturnal since after she became pregnant and now prefers daytime than night.

  STAGE NAME // Moon. When she started training, some Moondust staff couldn't pronounce "Mizuki" so she told them "it means moon" and they started calling her so.

TRAINING YEARS // After becoming pregnant, Mizuki got a job giving out flyers. However, by her third trimester, she found it difficult and uncomfortable to stand for long periods of time. Though she almost worried herself sick thinking of how to support her daughter, she could still play the piano beautifully, in fact she enjoyed it so much more because she wasn't forced to do it. Just for fun, she recorded herself singing while playing the piano and uploaded it to Youtube. Her voice and piano playing skills gained her a lot of attention and she even got noticed by Joey Valentina. This was around the time that his sister Debra wanted to form a new girl group after her previous group Pajama Faces was disbanded due to their limited success. Joey contacted Mizuki and she sent them an audition video. She was accepted and moved to Korea with her daughter and started 1 and a half years of training.

ON CAMERA // She's still very outgoing but sometimes hides her emotions. When talking about her past or her daughter, she wil get emotional.
